God makes a home for the lonely; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only the rebellious dwell in a parched land. Psalm 68:6 |
There are approximately 74 verses about Prisoners in the Bible.
Definition of prisoner: a person deprived of liberty and kept under involuntary restraint, confinement, or custody.
When we think of a prisoner, we think of someone who has committed some type of crime therefore they must do the time. What do we say or do when someone we know is incarcerated and they are innocent of any crime? It can play havoc with our thoughts? It can make us shed tears from the heart.
This person must feel like the walls are closing in each day. They must feel stripped of all freedoms. They must feel like; life and people have turned their backs on them. Do we wonder, are they even treated humane? There are some horrific stories ... I can think of one person that was undeservingly taken into custody tortured, humiliated, and put to death. All for Love … Who loves like this? He can relate to us on all levels? Because of His depth of understanding, He can give you the keys to free your soul?
Many of us have never even seen the inside walls of a cell. But we have felt the walls of restraint and confinement without even leaving our home. We have built walls that have sheltered who we truly are? Perhaps we have been frightened and or humiliated by the thought of someone judging how and what we feel? As we stand behind these self-inflected bars, are we truly safe? It is a raging war within our minds, our hearts, and our souls. It becomes a test of wills. Do we run and hide deeper within? Do you feel the walls closing in? Do you feel stripped of your freedom to live life? Or are you a prisoner in your own mind? Is there any way out of this merry-go-round??
I am not equipped to make medical recommendations. But I can share this. When we search for answers in the darkness. There is a solution of the heart that has always been with you. Reach out and touch Him. He is waiting. He knows how you feel. He has lived the nightmare. He can hold you. He will soothe your soul and He will break all the chains that bind your heart. He will give you new-found freedom to LOVE and be Love. Jesus has the ability to rescue you. You will find that freedom of the soul cannot be contained or deprived of liberty even if there are walls that bind you physically.
Find Him. Love Him. your life will never be the same.
Find Him. Love Him. your life will never be the same.
It’s Him, It’s always Him.
“Bring my soul out of prison, so that I may give thanks to Your name;
The righteous will surround me, For You will deal bountifully with me.” Psalms 142:7

The chain breaker can do it all, but we must want to be freed. Unfortunately, many have made a home in their prison and don't want to be released. Prayers that they can see that the price for their freedom has been paid. Step out of your prison, Jesus has opened the door, but you must step outside.
