My Spiritual Sanctuary:

A Journey of Self-Discovery and Love.

I have found my first love in the sanctuary of my spiritual mind, body, and soul. He is my escape from the outside world and my forever hiding place. With Him, I am embarking on a wondrous journey of self-discovery as He patiently guides me through the intricate labyrinth of my soul. He is the missing piece to the earthly void that chases me.  He is the one who completes me and makes me whole. With Him, I am never alone.

He patiently awaits… with open arms, yearning to listen to my deepest thoughts, secrets, and desires … He accepts me as I am, even with all my frailties and flaws… He guides the vulnerable child within me as I stumble through each God-given day… He fills my heart with an intoxicating love that breathes life into the mundane existence of human life. He is a spiritual experience that radiates a peaceful state of soulful surrender, satisfying every fiber of my restless soul…  He is the Master of hearts, holding mine gently as I forge a path.

I will always wonder why it took me so long to find Him!!! I was not blessed to know Him as a child… I only knew of Him. I will admit, I found His beauty in the latter years of life… However, I cannot take the credit because He found me. Silly me, I didn’t even know I was lost.

I have missed so much by knowing Him only for such a short time. So, the hunger you see to know more about the Soul that has impacted my life wondrously is fueled by the knowledge that my life is ticking by, and I do not want to waste another moment without growing my knowledge and love for Him.

With every tear that falls upon my face, I am reminded of His unwavering love and awe-inspiring presence.

I humbly hear Him gently whisper to my soul …

“My child, there is so much more to discover. The sweetest gift lies beyond your world." "It lies within me… Close your eyes, take my hand… and let’s embark on the journey written for you alone!”

And my heart whispers …

It’s Him! It will always be Him!!

And I am undone…

He is...

My sanctuary! My spiritual love from another world.  He is my spiritual guide home…There is so much I have yet to comprehend fully!!

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to love Him!! My Elohim!

Foster

My hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when I got here. Jim Henson

Meaning of Foster: To encourage or promote the development of (something, typically something regarded as good). to cherish (a plan, hope, etc.) in one's mind.

The word foster is referred to approximately 6 times in the Bible.

When I started my discovery of this word, I found that the word Foster is typically paired with the word child. I am not sure where this word will lead me, but I know our Heavenly Father has a plan... The word seemed to make its way into my thoughts while I was driving… How does He do that??

While studying the meaning above I began to ask do I foster anything or anyone in the world… Do I take the time to encourage dormant souls? Am I a small part of developing a message that can help someone find hope? Do I cherish the one who gave me life? He is teaching me so many things about life and love.

But do we share our hearts and love with others as He has asked? Has that word vulnerable made a home in our souls?? Do we foster goodwill toward all men? I cannot be the only one that wonders… Am I listening to my Heavenly Father's voice? Or am I out here flying solo?? Are we helping Him touch others in His name? Or do we do things to show the world we are Christians? Instead of helping without praises. He knows our hearts… and our every thought.

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 6

I know we all think He is omni everything and can do it all…

But since the beginning of time, He engaged man, in His master plan because of love not because of need. He wants to foster relationships with His children… These relationships cannot be formed in a vacuum it takes two loving souls. I invite you to ponder these thoughts and see where He leads you... I can only speak for myself.

I asked Him to be a part of my life a few years ago… And I have been building a relationship one brick at a time, with one of the most incredible souls I have ever encountered. Every day is such an amazing adventure… However, I am afraid I have only begun to scratch the surface… He is so beyond our human comprehension...

But the one thing I am sure of is, He gave me a message of love to share… I can only pray that these words I have written penetrate your soul…

If I sound zealous in my delivery it is because I have felt His great love stirring within my heart.  There is nothing that compares. He placed a burning desire within me to share His great love… I personally want anyone that reads this or hears His voice to receive His amazing gift…

So, open your heart and invite Him in… And wait... He will take you in His loving arms and He will help you build your relationship one brick at a time… And your life will never be the same.

He WOWs me

It's Him, It's always Him.

But those who embraced him and took hold of his name., he gave authority to become the children of God! John 1:12

Offend

“The more easily you get offended, the less developed you are as a human being.” Robert Celner

Meaning of offend; cause to feel upset, annoyed, or resentful…

We located 44 verses that deal with this annoying word “offend”

We have kicked this word around for weeks. And we have the bruises to prove it.  The first thought that came to mind is one that every child has said at one time or another… “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me!” Oh but contrary, words, and actions do create damage … Damage that goes far deeper than any physical pain.

Our world needs help…I see so many people getting offended for so many things both small and large..

Have we become so callous that we no longer care? Or have we become so self-centered that we now wear our feelings on our sleeves???

Sometimes we need to take a breath and think before we strike out and leave the damaging winds in the wake of our words and or actions…

So how can we bring about this change?? How can we bring peace and understanding into our lives???  The only answer I have is let's study the man who showed us how to love when offended? How did He demonstrate this unshakable power and strength when challenged by hate and ridicule?

Again I can only share my thoughts… I do feel He has this humble confidence in knowing who He is… He did not have to flex His muscles to prove a point… He was true to His convictions and He knew that diminishing His opponent's self-worth was more damaging than just loving them…

That is what I love about Him. He loves without judgment. Even when we are wrong. He wears the armor of His Heavenly Father, And that my friend makes Him unoffendable!

Let’s study the master and become more like Him.. Be confident in who you are. Sometimes proving a point is not worth your salvation or peace. Wear your Heavenly Father's Amor.. and strike out in LOVE… I hope you agree our world needs more love and fewer people being hurt by undesirable words and or actions.

Be the child He knows you can be!!! Be more like Him!!

It’s Him. It’s always Him!!!!

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalms 119:165

Immerse

Spirit of God, You are my primary teacher of God’s Word; I yield my heart and mind, my soul and spirit, my will and imagination to You as I immerse myself in the Word during these dedicated moments. Teach me in Jesus’ name, Amen.

The meaning of immersing oneself deeply in a particular activity or interest.

How and what drives us to immerse ourselves in any particular person, place, or thing???

There are many things in our world that people could immerse themselves in! work, entertainment, sports—the list could be so long that we would never be able to discuss them all…

So, Let me close my eyes, immerse myself in thought, and see where this word leads me.

Will I be whisked away for just a moment, or will my heart yearn never to return? Or will my thoughts take me to where my soul wants to travel?

Of course, I traveled to my safe place… it's Him… Immersed in the heavenly realms, we can escape the mundane and travel to a place of complete peace, love, and total surrender…

I will be bold and ask you… have you ever immersed yourself in Him, His words, His grace, His forgiveness, His compassion, His undying love?

When we take the time to worship and immerse ourselves in His presence for any length of time, the outside world will become dim… and we will feel a warm, loving light that will fill our hearts and refresh our souls….. it’s like nothing else in our world…

Being Immersed in Him is more than just a temporary escape - it's a path to lasting change and spiritual oneness with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!

Immersed ….. 💦

It’s Him! It’s always Him!!

Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

Keeper

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in the heart and soul of the keeper.

Meaning of keeper, a person who manages or looks after something or someone. “Keeper in the English-language Bible is one's master or supervisor, not simply one's caregiver.

There are approximately eighty-four verses that refer to the word keeper.

When I think of the word Keeper, I hear these words in my mind...to hold, to care, to cherish, to love, to hide in our hearts.

But do all “Keepers” have good intentions??? Or are they self-serving?? Are they truly caring? Do they put others' needs before their own??

Do we have something in our possession that requires a keeper? Do we feel we are in control and have no need for a keeper?  master? Or supervisor?  Do we have all the answers??

I can only speak from my own experience...

In looking back at my life when my children were small, I was given the job as their keeper... God loaned them to me for such a short while. They had no choice but to grow up and blaze their own path in our world. When they were small, they thought I had all the answers... They had complete trust. But as they grew their wings. They discovered I did not have all the answers...
I was held to our human standards ... and I did the best I could... To-date I am still a work in progress ... and I have discovered that I need a keeper...

Unfortunately, I was not aware earlier in my life that God had appointed one for me... Who knew??  But one day the Holy Spirit stopped me dead in my tracks. And God finally revealed  to me who my appointed keeper has been. He told me even though I did not know Him for much of my life... He knew me from birth... He has never left my side... He has been watching me grow into the woman I had become... I thought I had a normal existence. No major setbacks. and I was my own keeper... boy was I wrong lol

It seemed my soul had been bound by this life. I had built walls to hide... I had become isolated and kept my feelings hidden deep inside... But my keeper came to rescue me. He came to love me, to care for me... He came to free my soul and make me whole...

As my heart opened to Him. I began to trust Him...and my soul could finally breathe... I began to recognize His soothing voice and feel His amazing LOVE in the most intimate places in my soul and I fell in love.
He is the most amazing soul I have ever grown to know... I have willingly given Him my heart to hold until I can look into His eyes... and tell Him how grateful I am for always being with me! For always loving me even when I did not know Him... I thank Our Heavenly Father for appointing me the best Keeper a girl could ever pray for... Thank goodness unlike me He has all the answers... And as His child, I just need to listen...

By the way, His name is Jesus. and I have promised Him that I would give Him great recommendations to anyone that is searching for a keeper!!!

He has decades of experience. He is one of the best at multitasking!!   His wisdom blows the human mind... and His heart, His heart is my favorite part!!! He loves unconditionally and without boundaries... So, when looking for a keeper choose Him!!!

Always choose Him!!

He exceeds my expectations on a daily... He wows me... He can wow you too!! Invite Him to be your keeper you will not be disappointed!!!

“The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.”Psalm 121:5 KJV

Integrity

“In the end, you should always do the right thing even if it's hard.-  Nicholas Sparks...

In the Bible, integrity is defined as living with moral soundness, honesty, and uprightness—aligning one’s actions with one's values and with God’s truth. It’s more than outward behavior; it’s the inward condition of the heart. It’s about being truthful, keeping promises, taking responsibility, and living transparently—not for the world’s approval, but before the eyes of God, who sees and weighs the intentions behind every action.

We’ve all heard the saying, “Doing the right thing when no one is watching…”

But where does integrity begin? Is it something we’re born with? Or something we learn? Perhaps it’s both… or maybe it’s that still, small voice within—the divine whisper we recognize as the Holy Spirit.

When I look at the world today, I see widespread corruption, greed, and self-love.

Sometimes it’s blatant—larger than life. Other times, it’s so subtle it slips by unnoticed.

But I wonder:

What happens to the one whose actions stray from morally sound choices? Does that hidden darkness slowly begin to erode the lining of the soul? Like ripples in a stream, do those moments of compromised integrity reach beyond us, affecting the ones around us in ways we may never see?

Yes—our words matter. But our actions?

They matter even more.

Do your choices become a golden thread, weaving virtue and grace into the fabric of your heart? Or do they unravel, exposing the darkness you’ve tried to hide?

Every day, we are given a choice.

Will we live a life of value, one that mirrors Jesus?

Or will we trade away our integrity for the fleeting gain of thirty pieces of silver?

Integrity is a virtue of choice.

Don’t be a Judas.

Choose to do the right thing.

Choose to be like Jesus—loving, kind, and committed to a life of truth and eternal value.

It’s Him. It’s always Him.

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,

but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

— Proverbs 10:9 (NIV)

Storm

"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind." James 1:6

The meaning of Storm: a storm, a violent disturbance of the atmosphere with strong winds and usually rain, thunder, lightning, or snow. A tumultuous reaction; an uproar or controversy: Move angrily or forcefully in a specified direction:

The word "storm" appears in the Bible one hundred and nineteen times.

Storms can come when we least expect them.  Many can come with complete knowledge, allowing you to prepare for the worst... When I think of storms, I think of Florida, where in my lifetime I have weathered many violent storms.

As I think about these storms, I have witnessed the devastation they can cause to life and property. In life, there are storms we face that rage within.

Let’s look at the storms of life that we feel in our soul… It starts with a distant rumble. We can see grey clouds moving swiftly across the sky… Lightning crashes and bolts of light furiously light the dark sky. The winds pick up speed… And we hear the sounds of the rumbling get closer and closer … Everything in its path is showing signs of being battered and worn…

The human soul will hide in fear, thinking that it will not be able to stand the violence felt. But when our soul retreats and goes deep. Something amazing happens, we find God's gift. He instilled a resilience and a hunger for life in each life He has created... as soon as we find Him there, these storms lose their strength and soon die. And our soul finds a strength we did not even realize existed. It’s at these times that we begin to understand the beauty of our Heavenly Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

He is our rock, our anchor, our Savior. Find Rest in Him when you face any storm life may throw your way. Get anchored and feel Him in your soul….

It's Him, it's always Him.

And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered with the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep. Matthew 8:24

Somewhere

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known. = Sharon Begley

The meaning of somewhere: some unspecified place.

The word somewhere is in the Bible 13 times.

This word is so vague… can somewhere be found? Can we find this special location on our trusty GPS??  Or is it just beyond the horizon??

There are times when I pray that I have been whisked away to a faraway land. And it's there I find love and a feeling of peace that can not be described…

Is this a spiritual location between heaven and earth?  I know it is somewhere my soul yearns to go … There is a force there that has captured my heart… It is there that I can hear and feel a His sweet whisper in the wind …

When I am there the world as I know it grows dim.

I can feel a warm light source that fills my soul as He patiently teaches me of the beauty that abounds while I am in His presence …

Is it somewhere in another dimension of time and space? Or is this a glimpse of heaven?

Perhaps it is just a tease of the love that awaits?

My mind can not seem to rationalize where this somewhere is?

So it slowly surrenders to my heart and soul…

Was this “somewhere” in time written by my Creator long before I was even born?

How does He fill the hearts of so many? How does He provide such a unique meeting place for anyone that seeks Him…  I hear His home has many rooms? Now I know why…

The somewhere is the GPS He placed in my heart… it’s personal, it’s intimate and it's a place that my heart longs for… It feels like home.

You see somewhere is not a physical location.

It’s Him. It will always be Him.

He is my somewhere, today, tomorrow until the end of time.

I call Him Elohim...

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-3 NIV

But one has somewhere testified: What is man that You remember him, or the son of man that You care for him? Hebrews 2:6

Balance

Balance is listed 17 times in the Bible.

Meaning of balance: an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.

As our world seems to be spinning out of control, many of us find ourselves feeling unsettled, watching circumstances affect our health, our finances, and even our peace of mind. My thoughts drifted to the word balance and how the scales can shift with every passing moment.

How do we cope in the days and challenges ahead?

How do we bring our individual world into some type of order and balance?

When my thoughts settled on the word balance, I immediately thought of a game I play with my granddaughter. We stand with our arms stretched out from our shoulders, lift one foot a few inches from the floor, and hold it as long as we can. A great test of balance and a fun challenge between generations.

We can usually hold that position for about one to three minutes. And it made me realize something… this is often how we relate to God.

We try to balance life, health, and love on our own. We convince ourselves we can manage without Him, at least for a little while. But eventually, we begin to wobble. We lose our balance. And sometimes… we fall.

So I asked myself, how can we avoid this?

And once again, my heart led me back to the same truth… it’s Him. He is always the answer.

But this time, the word revealed something deeper.

He is our assurance.

He is our lifeline.

He is our love.

And in order to bring all the elements of our lives into a steady, beautiful balance, He must be at the center of our heart.

Because even when the scales tip, as life inevitably will, He is there to hold us steady. He walks with us through every situation. He loves us with a love that fills every need.

He brings balance to every facet of our lives.

Run to Him.

Make Him the center of your heart, the very core of your life.

It is His promise of love that stabilizes your world.

Tip the scales in your favor.

We are called to live with balance, loving God fully while enjoying the blessings of this life, without placing our hope in them. 1 Timothy 6:17

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

a time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

a time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.

Ecclesiastes 3:1–8
