Exposed (rewind)

“The only way you can reach your full potential is if you open up and allow yourself to be exposed to how you really feel.” ― Turcois Ominek

Meaning of exposed: open to view: not shielded or protected

The word exposed is in the Bible approximately 74 times

When we expose our true raw feelings to the world it can be a difficult, heartfelt task. We share and then hold our breath. We sometimes start to second guess ourselves ...

But then we ask ourselves what is our motive? Why are we opening our hearts for possible rejection, ridicule, or negative comments?

I can only speak from experience... God gave me a story to share... and not sharing His story would grieve His soul... and that would wound my heart for longer than I care to even imagine.

As I began to study this word my mind drifted to my youngest grandchild.  She is such a refreshing delight... But the one thing I have discovered about children is that they do not hold back they will tell you what’s in their hearts and on their minds.. without any filter..  even if it scares, hurts, or makes you laugh... and then they let it go .. without another thought.

So what happens as adults? And why do we find it difficult to talk openly about so many subjects? Subjects like God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit. This subject makes many uneasy. Or uncomfortable. Some engage willingly and it brings joy to their soul, some run.  The conversation about our Creator should be as natural as enjoying a beautiful breakfast or taking a shower.  But it is not. So many hide and many do not talk about the most important relationship in our lives.

The ones that bravely step out and open their hearts and souls. Take that chance, but they do feel exposed and have moments of insecurity.. they feel vulnerable.. a word I have grown to respect.

But there is a beauty in exposing one's true self if you can share the most incredible love to anyone willing to listen ... It is like taking a deep breath of fresh air into your congested lungs.  Your heart becomes lighter and your soul feels freedom like never before. I find it’s much like childbirth... there are pain and suffering but when they lay that beautiful child in your arms, and you look upon their tiny beautiful face... the pain and suffering become a faint memory and soon fade from existence... He heals our hearts, loves us through the pain ... He loves us far beyond our imaginations!

He has exposed hearts with His love since the beginning of time... it’s what we do with this love that matters most...

It’s Him, It’s always Him.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-15

So Jesus said to them, “The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtakes you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. John 12:35 ESV

The "GIFT"

True love is about what happens beyond this Life. It's about a loving relationship with our Creator and cherishing the greatest gift you will ever be blessed to discover... It's Him!!!

The meaning of gift: a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present:

The word "gift" is in the King James Version of the Bible 59 times. It is in 52 verses.

If today you were given the news that you had only a few days to live ... In a matter of moments, many thoughts would flood your mind. Your heart would ache and your soul would grieve and possibly begin to weep...

Do we cherish this gift of life or do we squander the moments??  Do we only place value on this gift when we are faced with that pivotal moment leading to our last breath?

When we open the clues that are locked within the words of the Bible we can find The greatest Gift of life...

It’s a gift that speaks life. It's a gift that speaks love. It looks at death as not the end but as a new exciting beginning. It crosses time. It crosses all boundaries. Its purity, and holds such wondrous beauty. It can not be contained and breathes the sweetness of life to our weary souls ...

Most of us have felt the joy and excitement of receiving “a” gift... But what do we feel when we receive “The Gift”... There are NO earthy words to even begin to describe it!!  It leaves us speechless.

Has the question crossed our minds? What sacrifice did God make to give us “The Gift”!

Did He expect too much from mankind? Did He hope that maybe He miss read our hearts? He gave us “The Greatest Gift” He gave us the most beautiful part of Himself... We opened this gift and found such beauty, such grace, and such an amazing heart... It’s Him... Many call Him Jesus...

But did we squander the moments? Did we value His life? Did we listen to His voice calling to our hearts?

History has proven we let Him down... We allowed greed, hate, and fear, to rip this amazing earthly gift from our unworthy hands...

Some hearts were wounded... Some turned their backs... Some washed their hands... Some grieved deeply but were powerless to stop this horrific moment in time...

This story has been passed down through generations. It speaks of a man with a heavenly connection... It speaks of His purity and His great love..and the horrific suffering He endured, to give His children the monumental gift of eternal life. He gave Himself to all of mankind...

Reflecting on this moment wounds my heart.. grieves my soul and brings tears of pain.

And then my mind raced to God the Father...Do we ask ourselves, what did He feel?  His heart must have shattered, His soul must have grieved the deepest grief... Tears must have flowed. Many say He turn away?

He had the power to stop this act of torture, against His beautiful Son. Why, did He allow this ?? How did He allow this ??? It truly boggles our minds.

I can only relate on a very very tiny scale... As a parent, we love our children and many would give their own life for their child...

So, why did God let this happen?

Jesus is God in the flesh... He did not turn away. He sees the big picture... He knows our future. He knows every hair on every head. He held us close to His heart even before we were born.

He gave His own human life for His child “You and me".... He sacrificed His human body to give us “The Gift” the gift of life and love for eternity.

The question becomes, Will we remember and honor this gift? Will we embrace it? Will we be grateful? Or will we squander the moments?

Will we love Him with all of mind, body, and soul for even making this gift a possible option!

It truly is a choice to accept this gift.

I can only share with you that I have felt this gift stirring deep within my soul... And without any doubt, it is The greatest Gift” we can ever be blessed to know...

It’s Him, It’s always Him

He is the "Gift of a lifetime" Don't squander even one moment.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

Charisma

"Charisma is not so much getting people to like you as getting people to like themselves when you're around." ~ Robert Breault...

Meaning charisma compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others: "she enchanted guests with her charisma.” A divinely conferred power or talent.

The word charisma is not written as such in the Bible... However, this word pointed me to this .. grace or gifts denoting extraordinary powers or favor.

Charisma what is this something extra? Why do some have this extra attraction?  How does this work? We see it in our daily lives when we see the masses fill event stadiums, concerts even churches...

What is the mojo that sets them apart?  They are truly no different than you and me? They have many of the same traits...   I have to believe they have many of the same insecurities, strengths, and desires...

So is this a gift? I do believe we all have many gifts ... But do we cultivate them? Do we refine them with time?  Why were we given them in the first place?  Did we impact our world with our gifts? Or did we make a difference in our intimate circle of friends or family? Will our legacy of life on earth be remembered?

If we are blessed to travel through many chapters of life... We learn many things from people we admire... They seem to have that charisma that something extra if only in our eyes...  I do recognize who they are in my life but as I travel in the present chapter of my life none have had the impact on my life like Elohim, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit... They wrote the book on how to live, and how to love.  They give us hope of a brighter tomorrow for eternity !!! They possess a magnetism that draws us to them like no one else that has ever existed. They have impacted lives since the beginning of time.  They have affected many hearts through the ages... No one else has ever had this lasting power to change lives in such a beautifully inspired way...

So what is the attraction? What is the charisma that draws me to Him like a butterfly to the flame??  I do believe it's His capacity to LOVE us so deeply. His love knows no boundaries... He has a gift of seeing who we truly are... He separates our poor decisions many call them sins... And yes there is a price to pay for what we do and how we conduct our lives... But He sees the beauty and rawness of our soul... and forgives us at that level.. It is difficult to understand His depth and this type of LOVE... but it is part of His Charisma and His beauty. His power of LOVE shines through like nothing I have ever experienced... there is none like Him...  I want nothing better than to sit at His feet and listen to His sweet voice... His gentleness and LOVE have captured my heart... My soul yearns for His favor... It’s His LOVE that is His MOJO...

It’s Him, It’s always Him.

Meaning of MOJO - Mojo is defined as good luck, charm, or skill that seems to come from something magical or supernatural.

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.  Timothy 11 3:17.

Jesus could no longer openly enter the city but was outside in deserted places, and they came to Him from every direction. (Mark 1:45)

It was heard that He was in the house. Immediately many gathered together so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. (Mark 2:1,2)

Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. (Mark 3:20)

Fidelity

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose." ~ Helen Keller

Meaning of Fidelity faithfulness to a person, cause, or belief, demonstrated by continuing loyalty and support.

The word Fidelity is in the Bible approximately  21 times.

Let’s be honest do we use this word very often in our daily lives? I do not hear it, do you?

However, I find it sad when our world uses a variation of this word. And it’s unfortunate that it is used way too often! It can be devastating and cause great scars on the heart...

I also find it strange how I see the word...

The word “In” added to today’s word truly changes it completely. It would seem to me if someone was “in” fidelity this state it would be a good thing? ... but surprisingly that is not the case.. Infidelity or adultery is one of the most frequently and severely condemned sins in the Bible. Adultery is mentioned 52 times, and fidelity is only mentioned 21 times.

I have tasted life long enough to see both the beauty and the devastation both of these words can cause... I will admit, I myself have had few scars hidden in my soul caused by the ugly “in" word.

It is truly interesting when I look back to that time in my life. God had me in His care and brought me through a difficult time even when I did not know it was Him.  His fidelity for His children is staggering. And I love Him for keeping me in His care during that life trial. He has proven to me that victory can be found in His unwavering LOVE. He is all “in” ... He is “in” love with His creations... He abides “in” me ...

He is the true example of Fidelity. His loyalty has been taken for granted by many of us. We seem to look for Him when things are dark or become difficult to handle... I had to search my heart and ask,  have I been loyal to the one who has never let me down? Have I been loyal to the one who has loved me unconditionally since the beginning of time?

Then It made me wonder do I possess that fidelity trait toward Him?  Or do I only look for Him when it’s convenient? Or when I hit my knees in anguish? I can only say like many of us, I am still a work in progress...  And pray that now that my heart has a new appreciation for Him and for who He truly is,  that my loyalty will never wavier.

It’s Him, Its always Him.

Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands. Deuteronomy 7:9

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalms 23:3

And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.” Matthew 19:9

Mute

“Love is not love until love’s vulnerable.” – Theodore Roethke…

Meaning of mute: refraining from speech or temporarily speechless.

The word mute is referred to in approximately 28 instances.

Hold that thought!! What, the cat got your tongue??? I’m speechless!!!

If I share my feelings or thoughts, some people will think I am not good enough! Or maybe they may think that I am losing my mind?? Feeding my doubts, which may factor into negative thoughts?

I don’t know about you, but when I look back on my life, I too have had many silent moments… Moments when I did not speak my mind or share my feelings. I retreated. Many wondered why I did not have anything to say??? I thought, did my opinion really matter? I would find myself gravitating to people who were conversationalists, so my being quiet became comfortable, and that grew into who I had become. I had crafted the art of listening… Which isn’t really a bad thing.

But I became aloof and only shared my inner thoughts with a chosen few… Trust and loyalty are traits I deeply value. However, like many of us, I fell into that snare and cared too much about what others would think…

So with time, I bound my heart and kept my soul buried deep within… I indeed found myself dancing on the edge of being mute…

But one day, everything changed… I can only say I was chosen to be loved far beyond my own understanding… I still do not understand why things happened the way they did…

However, I will admit, in the beginning, I felt a burning desire to share this amazing love. To be honest, it was a struggle to contain it and spilled out many times. Many people did not understand.

This was not my normal.

It seemed that my behavior was changing.

What they did not realize is I had been mute for so long that I learned to fly under the radar… You could say I became invisible.

I now was like a fish out of water. I had lost the ability to openly share without fear of judgment.

Such a dilemma… I had been given this great love, but my insecurities were raging. I felt bewildered and confused… and I cried many tears… The struggle was real… What would others think??

But this LOVE was intensely beautiful and much greater than any fear…

And my Savior did exactly what His name described. He saved me from me, and He delivered such a beautiful life lesson for me to experience and to share.

He loved me through my doubts and sang a beautiful love song to my soul… He opened my heart and freed my soul…

This newfound love and freedom loosened my tongue…

He gave me this message for a reason… This message is about greater love. He sings His love song to all mankind… Listen with your soulful ears and hear His voice…

He has asked us to love beyond boundaries… We are all not so different… We all bleed the same… We will struggle with things in our lives.

But in the end, we all crave to be accepted and loved by our Creator… It’s a love not of this world!!!! It’s a LOVE that surpasses all human understanding…

I am no longer mute because to share Him and His Love is the greatest adventure we can share in this lifetime… The only time now that I am speechless is when I can feel His loving presence… I can only close my eyes and breathe Him in and bask in the moment… and my heart whispers, I love you, thank you for the gift of You!

He WOWs me #speechless

It’s Him. It’s always HIM… But now it’s you and me… He gave us a voice… share Him… your life will never be the same.

“And at once his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he began to speak in praise of God.” Luke 1:64

Remember when ...

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” —William Arthur Ward..

Just sharing,  this was our first post on this blog in March of 2020, and here we are 6 years later with 196k views, 824 post. and... He still blows my mind..

HOLY Smokes ...We created the blog to share this amazing journey of discovery. And to my amazement, we have received over 20k views.

During this time I have been taught so many amazing things about life, love, family, and friendship...

I have been loved far beyond my own imagination by the Father, Jesus, and the amazing Holy Spirit. I have grown to love this book that I thought was old and boring. Many know it as the Bible. I found that there is so much power, grace, and pearls of wisdom lying between its pages. But mostly I discovered it's...

The GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD.

It is such a masterpiece of wonder.

My friend and I started this Bible Word Study on Dec. 14, 2019. We committed to each other to study one word a day... Details can be found here Word Study. We have cataloged over 460 words... To me, that is such a personal victory... Our blog started because of Covid and a desire to share our word journey with others.

Special thanks to Joann for sharing life and love, it's been an amazing ride... and thank you to those that have taken the time to become part of our journey.

xoxo

Reach

Love is a choice to reach beyond myself not once, but twice. First, I reach out to God to grant me the love that I don’t possess, and then I reach out to others to give them that love. And to be a conduit of this sort is to take love beyond the thin romantic notions of men and set it ablaze within me so that it might consume the world around me.

Craig D. Lounsbrough

The Meaning of reach - To extend; to stretch; in a general sense; sometimes followed by out and forth; as, to reach out the arm.

The word reach is used approximately 104 times in the Bible.

When I reach for you will you be there? I run to you each day but you are always just beyond my reach. I feel you in my soul, I hear your gentle whisper. However, I yearn so to touch your beautiful face.

What is this race we call life? What is this drive to love you, that lives in my heart? What is our purpose…

I find this journey so simple yet so complex.

It’s the midnight hour when I seem to reach for Him the most. I want to share my thoughts, my desires, my love with the one that holds my heart. The one who keeps the chaos from knocking at my door. The daily noise of life becomes a distant memory in His presence. … He is my fortress, my high tower, my protector, my escape to a spiritual existence.

In Him I found life. He is such a gentle and kind spirit. I found a beauty that I never knew existed in this world. He fills our souls with an unexplainable love. It is so difficult to put it into words. His dream is for His children to share this great love! So, I ask you, how do we share this kind of heavenly LOVE ?? I can only pray that He opens your heart and that He gives me the words.

He has given us this promise of this kind of love for eternity.  Once you have felt God’s Love there is no turning back…. I can only pray, that if we began to slip from His grasp. That He will reach for our hand and pull us lovingly into arms. I personally do not ever want to fall far from His reach..

It’s Him.  It has always been Him.

He breathed life into my soul. How did I not reach out sooner? How did I not respond ?? He tried to reach me so, many times…But I never stopped long enough to hear His melodic voice.
He had to pour out His heart from heaven and touch my soul so deep, so profound that there was no doubt ... I knew in my heart it was Him.

And life will never be the same.

Thank you, my LOVEs my 3N1for never giving up…

Psalms 139:7-11, 17-18, 23-24 TPT

“Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me. Where could I go from your Spirit? Where could I run and hide from your face? If I go up to heaven, you’re there! If I go down to the realm of the dead, you’re there too! If I fly with wings into the shining dawn, you’re there! If I fly into the radiant sunset, you’re there waiting! Wherever I go, your hand will guide me; your strength will empower me. It’s impossible to disappear from you or to ask the darkness to hide me, for your presence is everywhere, bringing light into my night.

God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way— the path that brings me back to you.”

RELENTLESS

Do we listen to God's whispers? Do we feel thought that tug at our heartstrings? Or are we too busy to know it's Him?

I now realize He tried so many times to get my attention and I was way too busy with life to know it was Him... This image was taken by me on January12, 2015... It has no edits. It was captured on church grounds in West Palm Beach, Florida. The quote was mine. I hid behind the GW initials because I was too timid to share.  In 2017 we moved from Florida to Tennessee and that is when I had a Holy Spirit Encounter that rocked my world... And He gave me wings to fly.

It's when I look back, I can see the little hints He was dropping all along the way... I now only wish I would have listened to my heart sooner... Because He has shared the most amazing LOVE I have ever grown to know... It is so difficult to put into words... It's beyond human understanding.

Do not miss those soft whispers... They are not coincidences... He is knocking at the door of our hearts. It's up to us to open it !!

It's Him, He is the most amazing and relentless pursuer of our hearts. It's always been HIM...
