Lonely

“As delicate as a flower, as tender as rose petals, choosing to be tender and kind in a harsh environment is not weakness, it's courage.” ― Luffina Lourduraj

Lonely being without company: cut off from others: solitary

Loneliness is mentioned 6 times. However, alone is written about in the Bible over 300 instances.

It is in our nature to crave that feeling of belonging. To feel that we are a part of something bigger than just ourselves.

Lonely can manifest itself in many ways... Our family our friends or lack thereof can cause this void feeling in our souls. This can happen at any given time in our lives.

Many life trials or experiences can leave us with our hearts feeling lonely... and searching for answers. It truly is a strange phenomenon to me how we can live a full life and still feel a lonely pull on our soul.

I do believe if we have had a Divine spiritual experience we can find ourselves set apart.  Very few will truly understand. Many will not want to talk to you about the Divine presence that has caused such a depth of love in your soul. It becomes the norm to be preoccupied with chasing this amazing spiritual presence.

He leaves you with a burning desire to share your heart with others.  But many will not relate nor will they understand. And as this walk with the Trinity continues.  You are viewed as overzealous.. over-excited or just a plain ole Jesus lover.  So many will avoid you, adding to the feeling of isolation.

I question why is it ok to be zealous when speaking of sports, bands, movie stars, etc... But it’s not ok to speak with excitement about God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit?? My question would be what makes you excited? And did they ever have a hand breathing life into your very existence? Is our excitement misdirected?

I do find that as we move closer and closer to the Trinity the divide between our spiritual heart and society widens. But as this gap widens, we can find solace in resting in Their presence. We will find that Jesus has known this loneliness. Many shunned Him in this same way. So He comes to us fully knowing the heartbreak and the void we feel..  He offers us comfort and a love like no other. It's beyond human understanding.

So whatever may cause you to feel that void or that loneliness in your soul.. Know you are never truly alone. He is with us always.. and forever!  Who else can make that commitment or promise?

Only He can! So get excited! Get over zealous! And join souls that feel His love, it's a love that will leave you speechless.

It’s Him, It’s always Him...

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20b, NIV

“As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. Psalm 17:15

Calm

Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us. Martin Luther

Meaning of calm the absence of violent or confrontational activity within a place or group:

Calm appears approximately 40 times in the Bible

To write about this word I thought I would listen to a song. I picked a random playlist on Spotify. A song list that I have never listed too. But I will close my eyes and see where this calm melody might take me... I will be back shortly...

I inhaled 3 long deep breaths and let the air escape through my lips slowly..my body began to relax and melt into my chair. And then my mind drifted here. I could hear the songs as they swirled in my head. I could see a coloring book of black and white pages...and as each note played the colors seemed to dance infill the pages.. in a burst of yellows, blues, pink, purple.. my calmness soon shifted to excitement...

What was this picture going to be? What is this image before me? Then I could hear notes that brought an image of a ticking clock.. and there between the pages, I could see life. I could see it.

This is my secret place. My safe place. Where kind words are spoken. Where I am loved beyond measure. Where my heart is calm and where the sweetness of life could be tasted ... Its where my first love awaits with open arms. He posses such beauty, such grace. His calm aroma fills my lungs... He is the feeling of Home.

My calmness is found in Him.  I will say goodnight before I drift asleep and dream in the beautiful burst of colors He has given me. But before I go I will admit, my favorite color that He gifted me is called LOVE.  🎨

It’s Him.  it’s always Him

Psalm 107:29

He maketh the storm a calm so that the waves thereof are still.

Proverbs 14:30

A calm and peaceful and tranquil heart is life and health to the body, But passion and envy are like rottenness to the bones.

James 5:8

Be as calm in your waiting; let your hearts be strong: because the coming of the Lord is near.  😁

Sand

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. John 15:9
There are approximately 33 scriptures in the bible referencing sand.
A loose granular substance, typically pale yellowish brown, resulting from the erosion of siliceous and other rocks and forming a major constituent of beaches, riverbeds, the seabed, and deserts.

You the reader must be thinking Sand? Sand? Really? Such a peculiar word to study when we study the Bible? And I would have to agree! So why did this word show up? How did it arrive in my thoughts? I asked a simple question?

A few weeks ago, I had a discussion with a friend about the time Jesus showed us how not to judge but to have great compassion. Even with great peer pressure He stood firm and did what was right in his heart… I will take to the scripture John 8:6 where it is documented that Jesus was tested. And he bent down and with his finger wrote something in the sand. There are several ideas what was written but there really is no proof. This puzzled me and must have stayed in my mind…. Because curious minds want to know.. Hmm

And now there is one more idea… and I take no credit for it. It came to me in a meditation. I did not even have this in my mind at the time. It just happened so I thought I would share.

My meditation moment

The room was dark and cool. With Lights softly burning. I lit the incense. I laid the chair all the way back. Put my headphones on. And listened to a song called Yeshua, and soon I drifted here...

I was on a beach the water was a beautiful aqua color it had large black smooth bolder size rocks outlining the shoreline. The waves were crashing and rolling in as to kiss the shore. You could hear the roar of the ocean. I could see the sun’s rays as they danced across the surface of the water. I could smell the salt in the air.. and feel the warmth upon my skin.

I soon saw a white horse being ridden fast I could see the sand fly almost in a slow-motion action as the horse’s hoofs hit the smooth wet sand.  At first, I was just standing off to one side. But when I looked again, I was on the back holding on to Jesus tightly. But quickly the scene changed and we were sitting on the shore in the soft beach sand ... He seemed to be writing something in the sand ...And I asked Him.  What did you write in the sand so many years ago ... He looked up and smiled and looked down to continue to write.

So I got up and walked behind Him... and to my surprise. He had written I LOVE YOU. And then I began to cry ... in the physical.. the music faded and the meditation ended.

So when I read, the scripture from a time gone by, I know in my heart It was I LOVE YOU that was written in the sand that day… and yes He did it twice.. because some of us are harder to convince than others… How could that not be the answer?

He was not sent to us to judge us. He was sent here to teach us how to LOVE. He was sent to teach us how to treat others. He was sent to teach us how to stand up for what is right. Even if it goes against what others think or do. I do think it is in our Human nature to judge. But we must look at our own hearts. Before we throw that stone… Show compassion, show LOVE, be the change.  Let's learn how to love from the Master.

Its Him, It's always Him.

There are no reasons on earth that can change His LOVE for us.
He WOWs me.

This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. John 8:6

“For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”
John 3:17 AMPC

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. Psalm 139:17-18

Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.  Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"  She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go and from now on sin no more."Jn 8:9-11

Temptation

One of the best results of temptation is that it shows us what is in our hearts. A. B. Simpson.

Temptation the desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise.

There are approximately 29 verses referencing temptation.

DON’T READ THIS to the end!!! Does that tempt you to read more or turn away??? Funny how the urge to skip down to the bottom to see why crosses our minds.

It’s that human weakness creeping in …. Now I know we deal with temptation, especially within the last three months… How many of us have been homebound? And we have been tempted to do things we never thought we would do … Sneak in for the late-night snack? or that extra piece of cake?? We have been tempted to judge people for their ideas or opinions. Some temptations are far worse than the ones I speak of above… And many wrestle with darkness far beyond what we see on the surface.

When we look at the Bible men have been tempted through the ages. Jesus Himself was tempted. He was tempted by a force greater than we know? Now you will have to forgive me for not mentioning his name because I refuse to even crack that door…But I am sure you all can guess who this is…   He is still lurking around trying his best to tempt us to fail. I say stand strong!! I say don’t crack the door … DO NOT let him even be a thought or whisper on your lips….

So how do we become strong!!! How do we have this power?? How do we avoid his darkness and this temptation?? It is so hard to avoid, he can be relentless.

I will take you back to your kitchen. When you go to the store do not buy the cake and unhealthy snacks buy only healthy snacks. And when you are tempted, you will reach for things that will build your body and give you strength. You will also avoid the guilty feeling that goes along with your actions. Because eventually, you will have to stand on that scale alone… Most will take off every article of clothing, shoes, and jewelry … But even stripping, it will not make a difference because giving into that temptation will stare you in the face as the numbers finally land and stop on the scale. It also depends on where it stops how much guilt you will carry.

Spirituality works the same way. Fill your life with healthy food for your soul. Call upon Jesus, read, and eat the word… You will see your strength grow. You will find when your soul is healthy the mind and body will follow. And when you are tempted you will have the tools to fight the battle… We are all tempted every day. It’s part of being human. Life is full of choices. It started long ago when man took His eye off the prize.  What you put in your basket, will determine how light your soul will feel when traveling on this road we call life.

Best diet on the planet. YOU WILL LOVE IT !!!

Its Him, Its always HIM

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Corinthians 10:13

For the Lord, your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. Deuteronomy 20:4

Scale

The word scale is in the Bible 39 times.

The meaning of a scale represents in proportional dimensions; reduce or increase in size according to a common scale.

I have been vocal on subjects of love, peace, life, and relationships. All of which are God-focused.

I am not insensitive to the destruction and the lack of respect for life, liberty, and property. I see it just like you on the news every waking moment.

Truthfully it makes me mad 😡. It makes me sad 😢. It literally breaks my heart 💔and wounds my soul.  😞 So much hurt, so much pain.

How do we face each day and ask ourselves, how can I make a difference? How can I turn the tide 🌊? How can I bridge the divide? How can I restore my faith in God 🕊 and humanity?
I wish I had all the answers!!

I do believe that if we would take a scale and put love on one side and hate on the other. Then ask, which one do you think would outweigh the other? Sadly, today I think hate may just outweigh love.

However, I have a challenge for each of us. If each of us could look at love as a single pebble. And then commit to putting just one pebble filled with love on the LOVE ❤️ side of the scale each day.

Perhaps together we could tip the scale towards more love and less hate...

So, when I do not engage in negative, hate, or hurtful actions or words... Please know that I am just busy gathering ❤️pebbles of LOVE. Because I so desperately want to tip the scale in such a way hate could not even exist.

I am just one pebble... So, I ask you today when you pick up your pebble where will you place it?  Choices?? I pray you choose Love ... Your one pebble added to mine just might start to make a difference in one life, one day, and one heart at a time ❤️.

Together Let’s Tip the Scale...

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34

A false balance is an abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. Proverbs 11:1

Still

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls
Matthew 11:28-29

In King James' The Authorized Version of the Bible (AV), there are seven (7) uses of the phrase “be still”.

Meaning of still: deep silence and calm; stillness.

Our lives seem so busy with things! Things! and more things! But why? But what? But when? When did life get so complicated? We try to pack so much into our busy day! Do you ever feel there are never enough hours in the day? Do we truly try to prioritize what really matters? Do you see what is right in front of you? Or do you miss the beauty of life itself?

If you could indulge me for a moment. Stop and think what would matter to you most, if you left this earth with the snap of your finger? Most of us at that pivotal moment of time would cry out to God…
Oh God No!

I need more time…

Time for what? To make that meeting? To buy that new car? Time to land that next promotion?

Let’s slow down the pace just a little. Truly slow down the pace! And let’s get real Still. Relax, close your eyes, take a deep breath, now exhale, and go deep into your mind and truly ask yourself what are the three most important things in your life?

I will share my list …

1.   The Father, His Son, and Holy Spirit, because when I say OH God it’s because I am feeling His love and seeing the beauty of His Face.

2.   My family as they have loved me through this journey, we call life. They have given me the most amazing memories.

3.   My friends the ones who came and stayed when they had a choice to run. They supported my dreams and filled my days with light-hearted laughter. They too gifted me with beautiful memories.

Don’t let things get in the way of what is important in this life. When you feel that there are not enough hours in the day. Remember to go to your STILL place seek #1 with all your heart, soul, and mind. And be thankful that you are blessed with #2 and #3… Because at the end of the day if it did not make your list… it’s just things… things that can be taken away, things that depreciate in value, and things you can’t take with you.

But the things on my list, cannot be taken away because they live in my heart and they are etched in my soul.  There is no value associated with them because they are priceless.
It’s you… my beautiful family and friends and of course it’s …

Him, It's always Him…

Appreciate the STILL moments.. Get in touch with your soul. And Just breathe.

Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling. Zechariah 2:13

“Be still and know that I am God!  Psalm 46:10-11

“The LORD will fight for you while you keep still.” Exodus 14:14

“The LORD is in his holy Temple. Habakkuk 2:20.

Vision

He said, “Listen to my words: “ When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions. Numbers 12:6

The word vision appears 79 times. The word visions appears 24 times.  meaning of vision: The state of being able to see: The Holman Bible Dictionary has the meaning as An experience in the life of a person, whereby a special revelation from God was received.

There are a few diverse meanings about the word vision. Does vision involve the eyes, does it involve the heart, or is it a dream and goal we set for ourselves?  Do we need eyes to see? Do we need our hearts to feel? Or do we need our mind to make a life plan?

The Bible speaks of a few people having visions from God. These visions came in many forms, dreams, meditations, angels, a burning bush just to name a few.

I feel these types of visions are subject to God and how he wants to speak to us...Those are the most awe-inspiring moments. However, not to diminish those Godly moments.  I will speak of visions from my heart, my mind, and my personal experience.

Our human eyes are such a marvel. They let us view images faster than the fastest camera lens can capture images. These images that our eyes see help feed our souls and assist us in cultivating our spiritual vision.

Many claim our eyes are a window to our soul.  So, if that is indeed true, do they contain our spiritual sight as well?  Or are spiritual eyes the ones that can see a spiritual life while our human eyes remain closed? Is our spiritual vision measured by what we feel in our hearts and soul?

I then ask myself spiritually speaking am I nearsighted, farsighted, or blinded by this world? Is it time to get a complete spiritual eye exam? Is that vision we see of God just a dream? Or Is it God giving us glimpses of His vision for our lives and of His universe?

So many questions?? I think the biggest question that speaks to my heart is where or in what do I have my eyes focused upon? It’s so easy to get distracted by living life in our world? How do we maintain this focus and not let the lines of life get blurred? There is only one presence that comes to mind that can keep us on track.

When I close my human eyes, and look with my spiritual eyes. I see a vision of LOVE. I see a vision of HOPE, I see a vision of PEACE. I see a vision of HIM and it is a definite WOW!

It’s my belief that our relationship with Him should be our main focus.
I know that if we can accomplish this, He will take care of everything else. I call the vision l see, Father, I call him Elohim, I call him Brother, I call Him Jesus, I call the Holy Spirit, I call them 3N1, I call Him God.

The list goes on and on, but no matter what we call Him, our focus should always remain the same, ON HIM. See Him with your eyes, feel Him with your heart, and understand Him with your mind. And watch the focus for life and your vision become clear as you travel towards Him each new passing day.

It's Him, It's always Him.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 AMP
