Sand

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. John 15:9
There are approximately 33 scriptures in the bible referencing sand.
A loose granular substance, typically pale yellowish brown, resulting from the erosion of siliceous and other rocks and forming a major constituent of beaches, riverbeds, the seabed, and deserts.

You the reader must be thinking Sand? Sand? Really? Such a peculiar word to study when we study the Bible? And I would have to agree! So why did this word show up? How did it arrive in my thoughts? I asked a simple question?

A few weeks ago, I had a discussion with a friend about the time Jesus showed us how not to judge but to have great compassion. Even with great peer pressure He stood firm and did what was right in his heart… I will take to the scripture John 8:6 where it is documented that Jesus was tested. And he bent down and with his finger wrote something in the sand. There are several ideas what was written but there really is no proof. This puzzled me and must have stayed in my mind…. Because curious minds want to know.. Hmm

And now there is one more idea… and I take no credit for it. It came to me in a meditation. I did not even have this in my mind at the time. It just happened so I thought I would share.

My meditation moment

The room was dark and cool. With Lights softly burning. I lit the incense. I laid the chair all the way back. Put my headphones on. And listened to a song called Yeshua, and soon I drifted here...

I was on a beach the water was a beautiful aqua color it had large black smooth bolder size rocks outlining the shoreline. The waves were crashing and rolling in as to kiss the shore. You could hear the roar of the ocean. I could see the sun’s rays as they danced across the surface of the water. I could smell the salt in the air.. and feel the warmth upon my skin.

I soon saw a white horse being ridden fast I could see the sand fly almost in a slow-motion action as the horse’s hoofs hit the smooth wet sand.  At first, I was just standing off to one side. But when I looked again, I was on the back holding on to Jesus tightly. But quickly the scene changed and we were sitting on the shore in the soft beach sand ... He seemed to be writing something in the sand ...And I asked Him.  What did you write in the sand so many years ago ... He looked up and smiled and looked down to continue to write.

So I got up and walked behind Him... and to my surprise. He had written I LOVE YOU. And then I began to cry ... in the physical.. the music faded and the meditation ended.

So when I read, the scripture from a time gone by, I know in my heart It was I LOVE YOU that was written in the sand that day… and yes He did it twice.. because some of us are harder to convince than others… How could that not be the answer?

He was not sent to us to judge us. He was sent here to teach us how to LOVE. He was sent to teach us how to treat others. He was sent to teach us how to stand up for what is right. Even if it goes against what others think or do. I do think it is in our Human nature to judge. But we must look at our own hearts. Before we throw that stone… Show compassion, show LOVE, be the change.  Let's learn how to love from the Master.

Its Him, It's always Him.

There are no reasons on earth that can change His LOVE for us.
He WOWs me.

This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. John 8:6

“For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”
John 3:17 AMPC

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. Psalm 139:17-18

Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.  Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"  She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go and from now on sin no more."Jn 8:9-11

Behold

            (1 X 1 X 1 = 1)

The word behold appears in 1,527 instances in the Bible.

Meaning of Behold to see or observe (a thing or person, especially a remarkable or one)." The botanical gardens were a wonder to behold"

Behold is from Middle English beholden, from Old English behealdan(“to hold, have, occupy, possess, guard, preserve, contain, belong, keep, observe, consider, behold, look at, gaze on.

Behold. Is this a word that is time-stamped and dated? It is no longer used in our day to day activity. Have we as a society lost our luster for the beauty of language? Have we traveled so far that we have lost the true meaning of our heritage? Our language has evolved into emojis and random texts😳Can we turn back to a value system and speak eloquent words of romance and love and caring?

Behold… if given the task to incorporate this word in our lives just how would we use this word? I can only speak for myself and how my journey has unfolded. When I look at the word behold. I would use it to describe a LOVE that transcends time and space.  I do believe this LOVE etched His name on my heart. On a special day in May when He touched my soul.

This word Behold can only speak of God the Father, His beautiful Son, and the very breath of God Himself the Holy Spirit.  They are the only ones that truly deserve and possess such a bigger than life status.  The word behold demands and complements, one of royalty, one of beauty, and one that leaves you breathless and in awe.

If I was given the task of introducing Him to you. I would definitely use the word Behold…  and tell you I call Him LOVE because there is no one in heaven or on earth that possesses such Glory… and depth of LOVING!!

So, did we as a society, truly stop using this word in general conversation because we knew…It was reserved for someone greater than life itself?

How does He bring such beauty and grace through the ages? Behold…

It's Him, Its always Him

I am sharing the interesting fact below.

As I tried to understand this word I began by dissecting the word in 2 parts and this is what I found.

(the meaning of the words)

1. BE 2. HOLD

1.   BE intransitive verb. 1a: to equal in meaning: have the same connotation as symbolize God is love

2.   HOLD Noun - power or control.

He blows my beholding mind !!! WOW!!

No man can behold all my glory, Moses 1:5.

And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; Gen 9:9

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the worldJohn 1:29

Breath

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you hear his voice, Hebrew 3:7

In the King James version. the word - breath - appears 42 times. the word, breathe appears 4 times. The word breathed appears 4 times

Breath is used in the Bible as a powerful symbol of the life-giving presence of God. Like God Himself, the air we breathe is invisible, odorless, and tasteless—it cannot be perceived at all unless it moves. It is usually peaceful and still, but it is a reservoir of enormous power.

(answersingenesis.org)

As we breathe our first breath at birth, we are given the gift of life from our creator... So innocent, fresh, and sweet. This miracle of how we rhythmically breathe without much thought is amazing.

However, when we stop and think about the power of God’s breath, and how He breathes the Holy Spirit’s sweet existence into our soul. It truly is mind-blowing.

The Bible does teach us that He breathes the Holy Spirit into the very essence of who we are, I think He does this to communicate with us on a spiritual level. The Holy Spirit is sent to guide us, to comfort us, and to bring us unexplainable joy.

One of His many functions is to teach us more about The Father, The Son, life and love, and how we should conduct our lives here on earth. He also reveals more about Himself as He communes with us daily. What an amazing gift!! God has trusted us enough to give us a special part of Himself, and we call that gift the Holy Spirit.

God’s breath can come as a gentle whisper or it can come as a rushing mighty wind...He possesses a gentleness that is beyond compare. But He also possesses a relentless power that can move heaven and earth, to chase the ones he LOVES.

I stand in awe in His presence! And say, yes you can fall in love with the Holy Spirit ...He is a beautiful gift from our Heavenly Father’s own breath.  I believe this gift comes from the deepest chamber of the Father's heart!!

So, I feel when our Father entrust us with this gift. We must do everything in our power to cherish the gift that He gently has placed in our soul. This gift will remain ingrained in our hearts until He calls us home. Where and when we can feel the sweetness of His breath again.

Its Him, Its's always Him.

“As long as I have life within me, the breath of God in my nostrils,” Job 27:3 NIV

“And with that, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. “John 20:22 NIV

“So, in the end, we will all die. People will bury our dead bodies under the ground. Our spirits will return to God.”

Ecclesiastes 12:7 EASY

“In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:10 NIV.

Vision

He said, “Listen to my words: “ When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions. Numbers 12:6

The word vision appears 79 times. The word visions appears 24 times.  meaning of vision: The state of being able to see: The Holman Bible Dictionary has the meaning as An experience in the life of a person, whereby a special revelation from God was received.

There are a few diverse meanings about the word vision. Does vision involve the eyes, does it involve the heart, or is it a dream and goal we set for ourselves?  Do we need eyes to see? Do we need our hearts to feel? Or do we need our mind to make a life plan?

The Bible speaks of a few people having visions from God. These visions came in many forms, dreams, meditations, angels, a burning bush just to name a few.

I feel these types of visions are subject to God and how he wants to speak to us...Those are the most awe-inspiring moments. However, not to diminish those Godly moments.  I will speak of visions from my heart, my mind, and my personal experience.

Our human eyes are such a marvel. They let us view images faster than the fastest camera lens can capture images. These images that our eyes see help feed our souls and assist us in cultivating our spiritual vision.

Many claim our eyes are a window to our soul.  So, if that is indeed true, do they contain our spiritual sight as well?  Or are spiritual eyes the ones that can see a spiritual life while our human eyes remain closed? Is our spiritual vision measured by what we feel in our hearts and soul?

I then ask myself spiritually speaking am I nearsighted, farsighted, or blinded by this world? Is it time to get a complete spiritual eye exam? Is that vision we see of God just a dream? Or Is it God giving us glimpses of His vision for our lives and of His universe?

So many questions?? I think the biggest question that speaks to my heart is where or in what do I have my eyes focused upon? It’s so easy to get distracted by living life in our world? How do we maintain this focus and not let the lines of life get blurred? There is only one presence that comes to mind that can keep us on track.

When I close my human eyes, and look with my spiritual eyes. I see a vision of LOVE. I see a vision of HOPE, I see a vision of PEACE. I see a vision of HIM and it is a definite WOW!

It’s my belief that our relationship with Him should be our main focus.
I know that if we can accomplish this, He will take care of everything else. I call the vision l see, Father, I call him Elohim, I call him Brother, I call Him Jesus, I call the Holy Spirit, I call them 3N1, I call Him God.

The list goes on and on, but no matter what we call Him, our focus should always remain the same, ON HIM. See Him with your eyes, feel Him with your heart, and understand Him with your mind. And watch the focus for life and your vision become clear as you travel towards Him each new passing day.

It's Him, It's always Him.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 AMP

“For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises” 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
