If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” - T.D. Jakes
Meaning of passion — a strong and barely controllable emotion.
"A man of impetuous passion." Also, the suffering and death of Jesus.
There are approximately 46 verses that refer to the word passion in the KJV Bible.
When the word passion comes to mind on a spiritual plane, it becomes something far more beautiful than we can imagine. It is a heartfelt emotion that runs deeper than anything we have ever felt. It reaches into the very core of our existence and becomes the essence of who we are.
It gives us strength.
It gives us drive.
It moves us to accomplish things that would seem impossible under ordinary circumstances.
But I am not speaking of worldly passion.
The passion most people think of is a man-made imitation—it barely scratches the surface of what true, divine passion feels like.
When I feel this word in my soul, I feel strength…
I feel deep commitment…
And I feel a love greater than anything this world can offer.
I see the color red—rich, alive, and full of meaning.
Our senses awaken.
Our hearts open like the soft petals of a crimson rose.
And our souls begin to dance in a freedom we did not know we were missing.
In those intimate moments, when this love fills every part of us, it is as if a beautiful song begins to play…
And we are gently carried away to a place beyond this world.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
And yet, so often, we hide that part of ourselves.
We silence the soul out of fear—fear of what others may think or say.
But there is something greater calling us.
There is a spiritual heart—bigger than life itself—calling His children into a passionate love of the soul.
It whispers…
It draws…
It pulls us in with a magnetic force.
A love more powerful than the stars in the universe.
It’s our Creator.
It’s Him.
His power, His love, and His beauty can overwhelm the heart of any man, woman, or child.
And when His love takes root within us, something begins to change.
A light begins to shine from within.
A quiet radiance…
A reflection of Him.
This gift, this divine love, goes beyond human understanding.
And yet, it draws others in… soul to soul.
It cannot be contained.
It is a passionate love.
A love of the soul.
A love for Him.
Our Creator.
Our beautiful Elohim.
Our loving Yeshua.
And God’s very breath, the Holy Spirit.
Three in One.
Breathtaking… and not of this world.
Close your eyes…
Invite Him into your heart…
And you will be carried to that place.
That sacred place.
Your soul will begin to whisper His name.
And as your life takes on new meaning, you will feel it,
A completeness…
A peace…
A love that is almost impossible to explain.
And when words fail, the answer becomes simple…
Because of
Him.
It’s always Him.
“You, God, are my God; earnestly I seek You;
I thirst for You, my whole being longs for You,
in a dry and parched land where there is no water.”
— Psalm 63:1 (NIV)
