God is sooooooooo good! |
The word hope appears 129 times across 121 verses in the Bible.
In Scripture, the Hebrew and Greek words translated as hope convey more than a wish...they speak of certainty. Biblically, hope means “a strong and confident expectation.”
Hope is a remarkable form of human resilience, often revealed in the bleakest of circumstances. It has the power to soothe everything...from the smallest uncertainties to the deepest despairs. It can bring peace to your soul and stir love within your heart.
But where does hope come from?
How do we hold on to it when life changes so rapidly?
These questions can feel overwhelming.
Hope can be a complex concept. Is it something we can reach simply by maintaining a positive attitude?
Let me be clear... there’s great value in a positive attitude. It can reduce stress and calm anxiety. Yet I’ve found that the essence of hope lies in looking forward... It lives in anticipation, not just present positivity.
When we dig deeper into the word hope, there appears to be a kind of “secret sauce” woven into its meaning. It is built on faith, where an optimistic spirit gives birth to a peace that settles deep within the soul.
When we experience true hope, burdens begin to lift, darkness dissipates, and the future starts to feel possible again.
So, what is hope?
How do we attain it?
What is this so-called secret?
We know it begins with faith.
But faith in what—or rather, in whom?
If we define hope as a future promise,
Then the only true answer is—it’s Him.
And I love that it’s always Him.
He alone knows His children, understands their needs,
and sees exactly what’s required to guide them toward a better future.
So, as it turns out, the “secret sauce” isn’t so secret at all—
He has already promised us a future.
But how do we receive this beautiful, sacred gift?
It’s quite simple—and repeated clearly throughout Scripture.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind—
and love your neighbor as yourself.”
—Luke 10:27
My prayer is that this reflection leads you to seek hope... and embrace a future unburdened by fear or darkness.
Now is the time to gather, to stand in faith, and place our hope in Heavenly Father, His beautiful Son, and the forever gift of the Holy Spirit.
Our future rests in Them.
1 × 1 × 1 = Him. Oh, how I love my 3N1... After many words and days gone by, they still WOW me !!
To all who read this, I wish you a day filled with His HOPE and Wonder !!!
