The word depending is approximately in the Bible 28 times.

Meaning of depending: to place reliance or trust you can depend on me: to be dependent especially for financial supporters. 

This is a curious word. How do we become dependent ? Especially on God? I believe many people see this word as a  weakness in character. We are taught to stand on our own two feet.  The word itself is a root word for many words that imply that we are leaning on someone we trust to help carry the weight.  

When I see the words, depending on God.. I feel trust. I feel confident. I feel a freedom that only on God brings. The beauty of depending on God is He takes the weight off our shoulders. He not only allows us to take the breath of fresh air He encourages it.  He is the ultimate warrior, the ultimate leader, the ultimate counselor. The ultimate shoulder to lay your head upon. He will comfort your soul with a love beyond compare. 

Now realize that when we depend on God that is not a green light to make your wish come true. He is not a genie. He is our ultimate savior. Sometimes that means saving us from ourselves. 

So if you do not get the results you are praying for do not be discouraged. He knows your heart, your thoughts, and only wants what is best for you... You can depend on Him with all your heart's desires. Because He sees the bigger picture!
