In the Bible, there are more than 200 references to the word “choose” or one of its variations.
The meaning of choice: an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities:
I wrestled with this word for days not being able to make a choice in what direction I would want my heart to go.
And then while driving on the most beautifully amazing spot in Triune TN, my heartfelt peace and guidance began to unfold. And here is where He led my heart ...
In life, we all face so many choices every second of every day. When I look around the choices that seem to be on everyone’s mind are as follows.
Pick one or the other:
Right or Left
Social or Distant
Believers non-Believers
Democrat or Republican
School or Home School
Mask no Mask
Fake News or Truth
Peace or War
Unity or Divided
Forgiving or Chastising
Kindness or Cruelty
Compassion or Callous
LOVE or Hate
And the list could go on for miles.
So, the question becomes how do we come to a decision that can give us the outcome that will give us that peace in knowing it was the best choice we could make??
It has been my experience if we use God and His word as a filter... and sift the choices and all its components through Him. Something beautiful happens... As in any filtering system, it gets rid of the sludge, the waste, and the impurities. and you are left with a product of purity, clarity, and refinement ... Your soul will feel an amazing peace and His Love will shine through your smile and your actions.
Doing the right thing isn’t always easy. Because we are all are a work in progress. However, the good news is that we are loved beyond our own understanding.
So, I say the only choice that truly matters is:
To Filter or Not to Filter the choice is yours.
I choose...
Him, It’s always Him
James 2:5
Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him
Deuteronomy 7:6
For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
