The meaning of tomorrow: the day after today.
The word tomorrow appears approximately 67 times.
This word is a word that can affect many things and how we react to them.
We all know that no matter what we face today there is always the promise of a brighter tomorrow especially when we are in the dark of night... I like to think that is why God gave us a beautiful sunrise each morning as a reminder.
But the word tomorrow has me a little concerned. What is it about human behavior that we put things off until tomorrow?? Do we escape the inevitable? Do procrastinate because we find better things to do ?? Or are we happy being complacent?? Or do we think that time is not important and that we have plenty of it to squander and still get by?
Do we get caught in the web of deception? Do we forget what is truly important? Do we put it off until tomorrow??
I do believe.. we need to live life like there is no tomorrow. We need to put value in what is important!! We need to show love today because tomorrow may be a fleeting moment that may never happen for some of us !!
Now since this is a Bible word study how does tomorrow affect the Book?? Is it sitting on the shelf waiting for tomorrow? Is your pursuit of a greater love waiting for a new day? Have you placed Jesus on the shelf next to Elf on a shelf? And only take them out at Christmas?
I ask you do you know where you will be if your tomorrow never comes??? Accidents do happen. Life is fragile.. will it happen to you?
I do believe in our amazing Father's promise of a brighter tomorrow. You see if you take action today and take that dusty book off the shelf. If you pursue that greater Love with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind... Jesus will come alive in your thoughts, in your heart, and in your soul.. And with Him in your life, all your tomorrow’s will be brighter than any of your today’s.
I do love His promises. His love brightens my yesterdays, my today’s, and I look forward to all my tomorrows. Because with Him, all things are possible.
It’s Him. It's always Him.
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”” James 4:13-15 NASB1995
