Fruit (A Gift from God)

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2

Fruit is listed in the KJV of the Bible 208 times. It is in 184 verses.

The meaning of Fruit as a countable noun: The fruits or the fruit of someone's work or activity are the good things that result from it.

In the Bible, the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that brings us the fruits of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Each is amazing attributes to hone ... To be honest I feel if you are on receiving end of someone that shares them with you. You are truly blessed.

However, getting these “Fruits” happens to be just the beginning. It’s how we cultivate and use them that matters most. In our fast-paced lives, we have a tendency to overlook the opportunities, and may not even apply them to their fullest potential.

Just imagine a world that could embrace these “Fruits” and shower the goodness on others. I see them as building blocks to heaven (on earth). I challenge you to take another look at the list and let’s pray together that we can and will pursue God’s Gift of the Holy Spirit. He is the deliverer of these amazing attributes the Bible refers to as “Fruits”. I pray that we can own and share each of them every day and in every way. They bless the giver as well and the receiver.

I also questioned why they are called “Fruit”. so, I researched this word further, all I could see were a multitude of images of apples, bananas, oranges, etc. lol

But as I did a little further investigation.  I came away with these thoughts ...As we are taught in John 15:5” Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches”. The “Fruit” is the sweetest result when the two work in unison. The Fruit also bears the seeds to continue life. Speak LOVE, Share Life. Let’s let the Holy Spirit be our guide to be the best we can be.

Grab every moment, live it to its fullest, find that sweetness of life.
It is never too late!!

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 KJV

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.”  Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

Mary’s (Perfect LOVE)

Perfect LOVE

“And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.” Luke 1:46-47 KJV

When a beautiful blessing caused heartbreak.  As a mother how do you reconcile that your child carries the weight of the world on His shoulders? How can you deal with seeing the pain in your child's eyes? How do we stand at His feet and watch Him take is last breath?  Witnessing this must have put a rip in her heart so deep she felt it was beyond repair.

She must have suffered every wound, every tear, and every drop of blood that fell. The anguish must have been beyond human comprehension.  She gave us such a beautiful gift, it was the biggest most precious part of her life. She gave us her beautiful Son, Emmanuel. She was just a child herself when He was born. But she trusted God to hold her hand through all of the life trials she would endure.

Even knowing how important His role is, the loss must have always haunted her soul.  She was left behind with all her human frailties to embrace and understand the magnitude of His amazing life.  Only her Son could deliver such an amazing gift of peace and healing to her heart. I am so grateful for her and her sacrifice.

When you look for strength remember this story of a mother and child and their journey. It’s unconditional love at its finest. It’s the most beautiful love story we will ever know...

Today let's embrace all Mothers and acknowledge the sacrifice and the beautiful gift of LOVE they unselfishly give.

“For a Child hath been born to us, A Son hath been given to us, And the princely power is on his shoulder, And He doth call his name Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Freedom (To LOVE without limits)

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. KJV

The word - freedom - appears twice the word - freely - appears 17 times the word - freeman - appears once the word - freewill - appears 17 times.

Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint: “we do have some freedom of choice"

Freedom is it a choice? or a gift? Is Freedom a test of wills or the breaking of chains that bind the heart? Freedom can be seen, it can be felt, it can be taught. We have so many things that can affect our freedom.  Some are in our control and some rage deep within us ... Other restraints are placed on us by society and/or how others think we should behave.

Many people suffer from darkness placed on them from the hands of others. Any of these things can rob us of our joy and freedom. They can stifle the true essence of who we are and can hinder what God knows we can truly be.

However, with God, we can rise above any roadblock no matter the depth of scars. When I think of Freedom, I am thankful that I have been blessed to thrive in my immediate world with the Freedom to be me ... or so I thought??? ... I was free in some aspects of my life. But my spiritual life lacked substance and understanding and this affected my freedom to express openly the LOVE that had been placed in my heart by Elohim ...

Some people understood and embraced the changes, some turned away, others tried to stifle and/or judge me. Leading me to some doubt and hesitation in my heart. This had a direct effect on the fullness of a LOVE and Freedom I had been given. I found my human actions and emotions began to resurface. I needed to relearn, rethink, and share openly. Which was not something I would normally do. It was such a confusing yet amazing beautiful time.

God has shown me how amazing He can be. As my relationship with God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, grew and my confidence shifted to new-found freedom that only He can give. He frees our hearts, He frees our souls, He releases the child within. And He says follow me and feel the freedom to LOVE. There is no FEAR in Love! That is our purpose under the heaven.

This God-given gift of Freedom will open the door to experience the beauty of life... His LOVE will cut the chains that bind your heart. He will free the unbridled child within. He will take you on a journey beyond your imagination. He will teach you every day to LOVE deeper than you ever thought possible ... Freedom to “LOVE” is the greatest reward one can receive ...

Being set Free, to experience His love is such an unexplainable gift!!
I urge you to chase Him, Love Him and let your heart experience this unexplainable Freedom to LOVE. He will make love to your soul and whisper a love song to your heart. Your life will never be the same.

Its Freedom, Its Love, Its Life.

Its Him, Its always HIM.

No words can adequately describe Him, He is an amazing a feeling! Freedom to love without limits is a gift! Don't waste even one opportunity to Love. That moment may never come again.

“So, if the Son makes you free, you will really be free.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To everything, there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.

Written

 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in my love.
John 15:9-17

The phrase "It is written" is in the King James Version of the Bible 80 times (in 80 verses.

The meaning of written has an invariant meaning because of the nature of writing.

When we speak or think thoughts within seconds, they quickly become a vapor of memories. Have we captured every detail?  Do we remember the moment with vivid detail? Can you share it with others??

I truly do not think my quest to study the written word in the Bible would even be an option. This amazing book where words come to life has withstood the test of time and is such a treasure to all of mankind.!!

As I travel on the spiritual journey God has placed before me. He has tapped into my soul and created a desire in me to document my heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and meditations. This has come as a total surprise to me and others!!! Before I knew God and felt his LOVE... I really did not read many books. I was more of a TV watcher. But one thing I know for sure, writing was not even a thought? Sadly, I really did not even pray very often. I was one of those that prayed when someone was sick or when I faced a life emergency.

However, since that pivotal day 24 months ago... I began writing or should I say purging my feelings, of Love, Fear, Pain and Life, and my new-found wondrous relationship with God... Somewhere in this period of my life, there was a day when I started praying and from nowhere I started documenting my prayers. From that day, writing my daily conversations with God became a part of my daily routine. 😲 Surprised! Me too!

I myself questioned where did this come from?? To this date, it baffles me?? I was journaling? But of course, He had to reveal that to me as well. (lol) I had never even heard of journaling?? But I now recommend it highly!

Most of, if not all of my writings are on my phone. All have been written listening to Music. On any given day I can look back and or share where this journey started, how it has progressed, people who have touched my heart, places I have visited, prayers that I have prayed. But the one thing that is a common thread through every written word is my Love for God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Again, I don’t know how or why this happened??  I can only hear in my soul His small whisper “It is written”.  So, for those of you that have taken the time to read the written words that have come from my heart. I pray God blesses you, as much as you have blessed me!

I am grateful for you and the time that we have shared.

Wishing you a day of abundant LOVE!

My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalm 45:1

And Jesus answered him, saying, it is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:4

Commit

The moon and stars to govern the night; His love endures forever. Psalm 136:9

In the King James version, the word - commit - appears 75 times the word - committed - appears 92 times the word - committest - appears once.

Meaning of commit. pledge or bind (a person or an organization) to a certain course or policy:

The word commit touches all our lives in some way. Some people when they give you their word and possibly their heart, will go the distance and keep the commitment made until death if necessary. They are true and genuine souls ... I have been blessed to know a few of these beautiful rare gems. I love them for who they are and how they touch my soul.

However, unfortunately, I have had the misfortune of knowing a few that do not take those commitments seriously. They callously leave scars on the hearts of others. They live a fearful shallow existence. They cannot even be true to themselves. Sadly, because they don’t know how to give that level of commitment. They are self-centered and lack substance. They are so focused on self they cannot see that keeping their commitments can only enrich their own life...

I have found that there are levels of commitment.  We commit our time, our love, and our life to something every day.  Do you ever stop the think? Where do we commit our energy? Family? Friends? Work? Sports? Trinity? In this life, we should commit to giving our very best to every relationship. So I ask you is that even possible? Well, I will share my thoughts.

Four months ago I cracked open the Bible. A book I never managed to take the time to read nor did I want to.  But it was then I made the commitment to learn as much as possible about this amazing book, and the beautiful story of the Trinity. The melodic words written contain a love story like no other. This exercise has opened my heart to a new understanding of the word commitment. It’s teaching me so much about life, love, and the ultimate sacrifice. It's one that has everlasting results.

What I discovered is that Jesus has been in my life for a long time. Actually since birth, but I was too busy with life to even realize it was His presence that I felt. I am sad to say it was me who let Him down. I did not make the time. But I am happy to report all of this has changed... However, I must share with you that I will not make shallow statements. Nor will I commit my heart. Nor will I commit my soul to Jesus. Unless I am ready to take it seriously and not wavier.  I am sure you think this is impossible. How could this be? She loves Jesus! How could she not commit her heart and soul to Him?

You see that is not that difficult. When He already owns them both!!
I can commit to always learn more every day and to love him beyond my own understanding.  It is a commitment that yields many great rewards. I am a work in progress! And I thank him for His grace!

It’s Him It’s always Him!

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

For this reason, I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. 2 Timothy 1:12

Chosen

The word "chosen" is in the KJV of the Bible 123 times. It is in 119 verses.

Meaning: having been selected as the best or most appropriate.

The word Chosen brings me to a question of why? There are times we feel not quite good enough to be set apart, or maybe we are confused as to why we have been chosen to handle a job or to fulfill an expectation in the first place? We can feel much like an insecure child in an adult world.

When I turn for answers and ask God why?  I found myself in His word where the Bible taught us that God always seems to choose people we least expect like Abraham, David, Paul?? They all had times when they did not feel secure enough and they had doubts. They may have even felt bewildered, confused, and maybe even a bit scared. But they all went on to achieve great things because of God’s love and the confidence He had in each one of them.

I believe God sees our insecurities, our weaknesses our doubts. However, He also sees us as His wondrous children and knows without a doubt what we can achieve. Because He loves us and has given us the strength and confidence, we need to grow into what He knows we can be. For example, He chose Jesus, for such a monumental job of saving our world and to be a living example for us to follow. Imagine if Jesus thought” I am not good enough? I am not strong enough?

Maybe those types of doubts ran through his head? But if they did? He overcame them and showed us how to trust and how to have that unwavering confidence in our heavenly Father.  Jesus went on to show us how to live and how to love our Father. And yes, He became everything our heavenly Father knew He could be... He wow's me. For when God calls us to be set apart and to be chosen as His!  He already knows what qualities we possess. Isn't that amazing !!

He knows this because He is responsible for placing those very special attributes within us. So, don't be surprised when you ask Him why me? If you hear in your soul, "Why Not YOU? Go child make me proud and be everything I know you can be." He is beyond words! I love seeing those beautiful traits come forth in others. You ask how do we know it's traits given to us from our Heavenly Father? It's because they shine bright and they cannot be contained.  So my friends keep shining your light for others to see! Shine Bright !!!! He is watching!!

“And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.”1 Kings 3:8 KJV

“God has already chosen one special day. On that day he will judge everyone in the world in a completely right way. He has chosen a man who will do this for him. He has shown clearly to everyone who that man is. He showed it like this: People killed that man. But God caused him to live again.” Acts 17:31 EASY

Ships Master - Meditation

        He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Psalms 107:29

Meditation

There are times meditations bring me to a peaceful place. I have been known to share.

The narrator began to prep the usual comforting dialog. And the music began to play so softly in the background as he set the stage... He said go deeper within yourself.  Be free...

In my mind’s eye, I saw a vision of a ship with white billowing sails. The ship was made of cedar wood like boats of long ago... The ship's wheel was strongly positioned right in the center. It seems to be made of the same wood and had 6 handles that were beautifully carved and spaced perfectly around the round barrel.

Jesus was at the helm... Then the narrator said see a large diamond-like crystal rotating. At which time I could see this multifaceted diamond in the lighthouse on the starboard side of the ship as we sailed by leaving our home port behind.

Jesus turned to me and said, “Take the wheel this is your journey.”  ’I promise I will always be by your side.” “But I will not sail this ship for you." I acknowledged his request and moved in to hold the wheel and steer the ship. He positioned himself to my right... We were sailing along so effortlessly...

As we glided through the water, I could feel the warm ocean breeze and the salt as it gathered in small crystals on my skin... It was a picture-perfect moment. But we could see a storm blowing just short distance ahead.  I quickly put on my tattered rain gear to prepare for what was to come.  I stood with both feet planted firmly on the deck and held the wheel firmly with both hands, as I braced myself for the storm that we were about to encounter.

Jesus was still standing to my right. This gave me a peaceful feeling in my soul.  The wind began to fiercely blow and the storm began to rage. The sea became black as night. The waves were breaking on the deck, the lightning cracked loudly and illuminated the dark ominous sky. I was feeling so small and fear gripped my soul. I was holding on with every ounce of strength I could muster.  When all of a sudden, a wave came crashing in and hit me so hard in the chest, I lost my grip and control of the wheel. I slid back towards the stern.

The wheel began to spin out of control... However, Jesus never wavered. he stood strong and mighty. And with one hand he grabbed the wheel and stopped the spinning action dead in its tracks. He looked at me and said, “Come, don’t be afraid I am here.” I made my way to his side and gripped the wheel. To my amazement, the storm suddenly stopped ...

The ocean became like glass, the beautiful warm breeze returned and filled the sails. The ship returned to its smooth natural glide. I could see a pair of dolphins breaking the surface of the smooth waters ahead. We were sailing into a q beautiful red sunset that seemed to be kissing the horizon. He said, "It is getting dark get us home." "Keep your eyes on the lighthouse in front of you.”  “Never lose focus of HIS  light. He smiled, and said, “ I will always guide you home.”

He again positioned himself to my right, He had his strong hands clasp behind his back. He stood like a soldier positioned ready for any battle. His head was facing forward as he gazed into the wondrous world ahead. The wind made his hair dance softly along his face. We sailed the calm waters against the starlit sky. While the lighthouse illuminated a beautiful light that danced so effortlessly in the stillness of the dark night.

The light was the guiding force that was beckoning us home. There was such beauty in this serene peaceful moment.  And the meditation ended

Lesson: Have no fear. We are never alone in any storm that comes against us. Jesus has promised to always be by our side. He is positioned to help us fight any battle that we may face. Never lose focus, and always look to our father’s light to guide us home.

There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain. Isaiah 4:6

Saved

           “For those who love, nothing is too difficult, especially when it is done for the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
            ― Saint Ignatius

The word saved is recorded 104 times in the entire Bible out of 104 verses.

Being saved is to be rescued. In spiritual terms, saved means to be rescued from death. The Bible says that anyone who calls on Jesus will be saved (Acts 2:21).

SAVED, Rescued, recovered are just a few words that I think of when I think of being saved... Saved has not been a word that I have ever used in my journey, but I hear it often. So, what does it truly mean? It’s my understanding that we are all sinners and to truly want redemption we must humble ourselves and ask our Savior to save us?

The question I have is save us from what? We all suffer from different things that go bump in the night, life trials, or temptations that will leave us broken, battered, afraid or we have this unexplainable void or sadness in our soul. Somethings can be severe, others are measured at different degrees by the person’s strength and willingness to endure pain or uncertainties alone...

Being saved is that breath of fresh air that gives you HOPE and unshakable security in your soul knowing you are not alone. You are indeed in the best hands possible. You are loved unconditionally no matter what stage of life you may be in.  It’s my belief, our Savior saves us from ourselves along with the temptations of the world.

These temptations and demons from within can be so subtle we ourselves cannot even recognize them.  I then think how does one actually achieve this amazing security and LOVE? The beauty is we need to only humble ourselves and ask our Savior with our whole heart to save us. Some accomplish this by reciting the sinner’s prayer, some find him through his word, some find guidance through the church.  I have found there is a multitude of “how’s” and I feel none are wrong.  As long as you ask him to save you and to come into your life, the result of being saved is accomplished.

However, once you have asked, that is only the beginning. If you are true of heart in the request, change and growth is inevitable. It then becomes our commitment to further open our hearts and our souls and welcome our Savior in. Through our gift of the Holy Spirit, our Savior will teach and guides us through the changes that will occur.  These changes will draw you closer to him.  And as you travel this unchartered territory of the heart.

You will become a child of God and take residence in his Heart. And this word SAVED will take on new meaning.  It will mean, no matter where you are in your journey you are loved unconditionally. Your Savior will fill you with joy from within. And you will acquire a peace that is unexplainable to the world and people around you. So, walk in confidence and open your heart and just ASK him to save you... And you will find that treasure of how life should truly be lived. and you will never be alone!! He will be with you always.

“ The Lord will save everyone who asks him to help them.”

Humble

We have to humble ourselves and the way you do that is by serving other people. Tim Tebow
Humble most often refers to a lowering of pride or arrogance but may refer to a lessening of power or importance. Humility is used in the Bible, refers to a godly posture of the heart.

The main difference between humble and humility is their grammatical category; humble is an adjective whereas humility noun. Thus, humility always refers to a quality whereas humble refers to the thing or person that is being modest.

Unfortunately, in our materialistic world. People see loving traits such as humble and meek, as a weakness. Not realizing it is actually power under controlThere is no pride needed. Because there is a deep confidence that shines from within.

However, it’s my opinion the lack of humbleness and the wielding of this type of pride show large insecurities.  It shows a lack of self-confidence thus resulting in the drive to prove oneself. The question I have is, “can humbleness be taught? I say yes, “I feel our society needs an infusion of humbleness we need to learn this trait and exercise it daily.

Our children need to witness this in our hearts so they can become role models for future generations. I personally love humble it’s an amazing trait to chase. It has nothing to do with the materialistic world and has everything to do with the confidence felt in the heart ...

If you yourself or someone you know, is in need of a role model you can find this amazing trait in Jesus. Find Him, Let Him help you be a role model that will teach this trait for generations to come. Be humble, Be Kind, Be compassionate, and give love. Our world needs you!

“And when he lived as a man, he made himself even less important. He obeyed God completely so that he died. He even died on a cross!”
Philippians 2:8

Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6

Treasure

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
Meaning: a number of precious metals, gems, or other valuable objects: keep carefully (a valuable or valued item):

As we dive into words and truly try to understand their meaning, there are those words that we think we have a full grasp and understanding.  Treasure seems to be one of those words for me. When I think of treasure, I immediately think of precious commodities such as gold, silver, and diamonds, etc.

However, for this exercise, I asked myself, Who or what are the things I treasure most?  And how do I view this word in our daily lives??? We all have those things we value greatly. So, I searched within my own heart and asked myself what treasures live in my heart?

My mind immediately went to relationships. For me, these are the most precious treasures we have on earth.  And why we even exist! Our relationships and how we love others should be valued more than diamonds, gold, and silver. We invest our time. We try to understand everything about them, and we fall in love with the very essence of who they truly are.  However, to fully understand this word, we then must peel back our hearts and ask ourselves these questions.

Who has captured that attention in our hearts?  To whom do we give our care? To whom do we give our time? When looking for answers I searched my heart and opened my Bible for guidance. I found Jesus teaches us the obvious answers we must love our family and friends as we love ourselves and above all, we must love God with all our heart, mind, and soul.

I would like to think we all try to cultivate these relationships to the best of our abilities. But then I thought do we really try to cultivate all of our relationships or do we take some of these for granted? Do we dismiss opportunities? Do we turn our backs and give them limited time, thought, or understanding? Do we truly cultivate and work on our relationships?

And then I began to ask myself, do we take great care and truly love and build a relationship with the one who teaches us how to value LIFE?  He teaches us to love and how to grow these treasures? Do we give Him our care? Do we give Him our time? I think if we search our hearts for these answers, we all could do a better job of becoming better farmers and work harder on cultivating all of our relationships. The time and care we give will grow into treasures that we cherish for a lifetime. Life on earth is fleeting, tomorrow is not promised.

So, I ask, search your heart for your treasures, and see where do you exercise your care? With whom do you spend your time? And have we fallen in love with the essence of who they truly are? If you need help cultivating your relationships look to Jesus as He is the ultimate example. If you take the time to understand the true essence of who He truly is, you will fall in love. And there you will see into His heart and you may be surprised to see YOU are hidden among His most precious treasures.

Love Him, make Him your most treasured relationship. And watch your life grow into a beautiful garden for the world to see.

Its Him, It's always Him.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12 KJV

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matthew 22:37 KJV
