God wink

As Jesus said, “Go and do likewise. As the route of your life path and your winks from God begin to emerge—like a rainbow out of the mists of your mind—you will be struck by the message of hope that it holds for you. - Squire Rushnell -

Are God's winks real, or are they just chance events? Yesterday started as a busy day with some challenges.

Our air conditioning unit had stopped working, and we were scheduled to get the unit replaced before the Tennessee temperatures started their summer climb.

The work truck pulled up, and three workers stepped out, not knowing that God had a plan…

One of the men had to come into the house, and we exchanged greetings.  I explained I would need to leave at 2 pm to pick up my granddaughter from school.

In our conversation, he used the word blessed, which was the beginning of what was about to unfold.

I said you must be a Christian. He acknowledged my question with a smile and said yes. And he returned to start the work he had been hired to do…

The day seemed to slip away, and soon, it was time to leave. I advised them I would be going to pick up my granddaughter.

I realized I was too early as I traveled towards the school, so I bought the workers a lemonade. I returned to deliver the drinks. The one young man was kneeling by the unit alone, and I asked him what church he attended.  He told the name and smiled. With that opening, I began to tell him my testimony… I explained how the Holy Spirit touched me with an indescribable love right here in the city of Triune, TN, which means Trinity.

I shared with him about my medical miracle, no surgery needed… I advised him that I share my story on a blog and podcast…He looked up, smiled, and said you must write a book. I laughed and said I have two selling on Amazon right now.

I explained I needed to leave, but I would show him both of my books upon my return.

I soon returned. And he came in to install the new thermostat. I grabbed both books off the coffee table and showed him the covers. He quickly said I want to buy one. I explained that these are hardcovers and that they run $30.00. I have digital copies available online for only $3.33.

He insisted he wanted one of the hard copies… whipped out 30 dollars, and the deal was completed.  I showed him to my studio, where the wall is adorned with images of Jesus I painted. He reacted very kindly as he looked at the images. Then, He asked if he could take pictures of my paintings to share with his wife. I said sure; he snapped a few images. He thanked me, gathered his tools and the book, and walked out.

I stepped out to the porch for some last-minute instructions from the project manager.

As we spoke, the young, smiling man approached me with the book and pen, saying he could only leave with the book if I signed it.

We exchanged smiles as he handed me the book and a pen.

How would you like me to dedicate the book??? What is your name?

He smiled and said Actually, my name is Jesus!!! But they call me Jes…

I spent the day with Jesus in more than one way...Because my Jesus was present during the God wink moment…

Sometimes God orchestrates meetings with perfect strangers that will linger as cherished memories…

Never let a moment slip through our fingers to share Him…

Today, I was blessed by Jesus…

Simon by Joann Turnbull

“Being kind means responding to the needs of others - and people can be kind, no matter how old or young we are.” Fred Rodgers...

My morning seemed to start normal, just like most days. But my quiet mood was soon interrupted by a call from my granddaughter…

She could not contain her excitement!!!  She informed me that her mini donkey had had her baby. We had a new foal in our midst... She quickly told me we needed a name and wanted my help naming him. She wanted a name from the Bible. The Easter story was still fresh on our minds. So, this task placed me in the thought of that significant day when Jesus was crucified.   Thinking of that day along with this new little foal. I remembered where a lowly donkey played an essential role in Jesus' life.

A donkey carried Mary to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. Another carried Mary and Jesus to Egypt to escape Herod’s decree to kill all baby boys two years of age and under. And a foal of a donkey carried Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.  Amazingly, this humble animal bears the markings of a cross on its back.

Many names raced through my mind… And then my thoughts stopped on the name Simon…

He helped Jesus on the horrific crucifixion day. It was not the disciples; they bailed. Even Peter said, “he did not know Jesus."

After the scourging and other torturous beatings that Jesus endured, He was so weak He could not carry the heavy cross.  He was clearly struggling and would not make it without help. The soldiers grabbed Simon and forced him to carry the cross.

They gave Simon no choice!!!

I can only imagine that the blood covering Jesus stained all of Simon’s clothes, his arms, and his face. It was a life-changing encounter. One that I am sure Simon would never forget. Simon had an up-close experience with the Son of God, and his life would never be the same.

This statement is supported by a verse in Romans 16:13. It states that both sons and Simon became passionate witnesses for Jesus.

Simon… a humble little donkey whose ancestors played a significant role in our Savior's life. Our new little Simon carries the mark of the cross upon his back to remind us of the significance of that day….

“And they compelled one Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear His cross.” Mark 15:21

“Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother…” Romans 16:13

Intermundium

Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name.

Isaiah 40:26...

Be so busy loving God, others, and your life that you have no time for regret, worry, fear, or drama...

The Meaning of Intermundium: The space between worlds.

Have you ever felt stuck between worlds? Are we so earthly bound that we cannot reach the heavens? Have you ever wished we could travel back in time to another dimension? Another galaxy? Our lives are so fragile. Will we ever find our way?

Can we escape the mundane??

I have... And I must admit it because of Him.

There is such a beautiful spiritual world just waiting to be explored... Intermundium is that beautiful space between our world and our heavenly Father. It can be that amazing space where we can find ourselves. And where we can tap into our wondrous dreams.

God has such a spiritual calling on our hearts that it gently tugs at our souls. His love awaits us to take that step and open our hearts. His beautiful presence wows me—such beauty, such grace. It truly is difficult to put into words. It's a spiritual bridge that many do not understand. Many may dance close to the fire,  but unless the fire is felt deep in the soul, You will not be caught up in the feelings of love that He brings.

How can I explain the intensity and vastness of this love? My soul is always searching for words, but…

He leaves me speechless.

It's beyond words. It surpasses time and world and reaches far beyond the heavens. His love engulfs my heart and invades my soul. It takes me to places in my mind that I never knew existed.

Who is this that has the power to capture our hearts?

You can find me lingering in the intermedium state of my life, always searching for...

Him. It's always Him.

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” Isaiah 55:6 KJV.

Astronomy

I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars. Augustine “Og” Mandino

The meaning of astronomy is the branch of science that deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole.

We located seventy-seven Bible Verses about astronomy.

Astronomy is not to be confused with astrology. Astronomy is the study of the universe and its contents outside of Earth’s atmosphere. Astronomers examine the positions, motions, and properties of celestial objects, while astrology attempts to study how those positions, motions, and properties affect people and events on Earth.

How did we get the beauty of God’s creation mixed up with astrology? I do believe it’s man’s curiosity to know what lies in our future.  Let's not forget the cost of curiosity. Her name was Eve. Her curiosity negatively impacted and changed our lives so much that we still feel the effects of her actions today…

However, I believe when we focus on our future, we miss what is presently standing in front of us. We miss the beauty of a love that will guide our future to a greater existence. We just need to tune into God’s frequency, focus on God, let Him guide our future, and enjoy the moments and beauty of His wonder…

I did find that the Bible points us here “Do not turn to mediums or consult spiritists, or you will be defiled by them; I am Yahweh your God. Lev 19:31

We must leave our future in our Father's hands.

But I do believe when we look to God, we must not only see Him in all His beauty and glory, but also look at and appreciate His creations. We will be astonished, in awe, and fall in love with His artistry and mind. What type of mind can create such wonder? It brings me to tears to think of the magnitude of Him, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. They keep me in a state of WOW.

When I look up, I find that I can get lost for hours in the night sky.  I am learning to appreciate life moments and the beauty before me. The vastness of our universe is mind-boggling. Have you ever wished upon a star? Have you ever thought of traveling to another galaxy?  I don’t know about you, but I love getting lost in the beauty of the stars, planets, galaxies, and the beauty of my Father’s Heaven.  It makes me wish space travel was an option. I would love to dance with Him on moonbeams… I would love to spend my days with the brightest star in heaven. Did you know Jesus is our morning star?

They amaze me. Our minds cannot even begin to understand the vastness of our Universe and all the Heavens. How can we expect to understand or even wrap our heads around such unbelievable wonders of our Father, our Savior, and the Holy Spirit? They truly are amazing.

I challenge you to discover just one new fact about them and their story each day. As for me, I will continue to look to Him for my future, chase the most awe-inspiring facts about the most beautiful LOVE I have ever known, and look to the sky for His return.

So if you see me gazing towards the sky, just know that I will be looking for my morning Star, because He holds our future in His Hands.

It's Him. It's always Him.

Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. Praise ye Him, sun and moon: praise Him all ye stars of light Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. He hath also established them forever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. Genesis 2:1

“Do not turn to mediums or consult spiritists, or you will be defiled by them; I am Yahweh your God.Lev 19:31

Praise Him, sun and moon;

Praise Him, all stars of light! Psalm 148:3

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning, hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: Hebrew 1:10

Follow a life of purpose..

Follow a life of purpose...

Meditation Moment...

The sounds are the ocean waves lapping on the seashore... The view had the sun glistening gently on the ocean surface as waves kissed the shoreline... There is a ship bell ringing at a far distance. My heart always calls upon Jesus in my meditations, and He never disappoints

My mind's eye sees Him standing barefoot on the shoreline in an off-white cotton robe.  His eyes are fixed on the vast ocean in front of Him. A gentle breeze is blowing through His brown wavy hair, His skin is tan, and He has a golden glow from the sun shining upon His beautiful face. He turns away and begins to walk on the shoreline, leaving footprints in the white course beach sand.  I slowly stepped into the footprint He left behind; I was like Cinderella trying on her glass slipper... One foot then the other, my feet fit in the middle of His print with room to spare. I could feel the warmth of the sand between my toes.  The ocean breeze blew my hair, and my flowing white dress danced across my legs. I could smell the aroma of salt in the air...

I kept my eyes focused on Him as He slowly continued to walk, leaving me His foot imprints on the shore to follow... But then, He motioned with His hand to follow Him, and I followed Him for what seemed to be a very long distance. With each step, the water line crept closer, and warm waves began to rush over my feet, filling the prints with sea foam bubbles.

The tide called the salty water to return to the sea, and our merged footprints were soon swept away...

He turned and said, “Come by my side and walk with me,” so I joined Him. We walked without words until we found two old-fashioned beach chairs sitting just at the water's edge... He motioned to welcome me to sit. I did, and He joined me in the other chair ... Without speaking. He then reached out His hand; I joined His hand with mine. He gently held my hand as we watched the skies sweep in various ribbons of pink and blue hues... We could almost hear the water sizzle as the sun began to dip its beauty into the dark, glittering water.  We held on to the moment for a while, but then the moment ended ... No words were needed.

This beach escape engulfed all senses with a peaceful harmony and radiated love to my heart like no other...

If I still lived in Florida .. I would be finding the closest beach to return to the scene⛱❤️😍☮

Memory

Take me with you...

Passion Week is such a spiritual time of remembering. As we move past this time of year, do we embrace His significance to our world… During this time, many will visit a church or perhaps find a quiet moment to say a few words of thanks. Do we celebrate Him this week and then find ourselves moving on and going on with life as usual?

Or does His memory linger on our skin like the dew that clings to the vine? Do we take Him with us as we enter the next chapter of our lives? Do we reflect on and understand the magnitude of this monumental gift of love from God?

Emotions can run from complete sorrow to unexplainable joy!!! The sorrow is heartfelt as we relive His life and what He endured, but is our joy self-serving? The answer to that question, my friend, is personal.

I feel a humbling gratitude for His undying love! It is such a beautiful, unselfish love.  I feel so in debt to Him for giving me life… His gift of life will hold my soul for eternity…

His love is bittersweet…

It brings me to tears to think of the cost…it brings me to my knees in complete surrender … it brings my heart to a love that I find hard even to explain…

It’s Him!!  It’s always Him!!

Close your eyes and invite Him into your world. Linger here with us for a while! I am undone…

Remember me, O Lord, in Your favor toward Your people;

Visit me with Your salvation, Psalm 106:4

Falling in love with God (who does that?? )

And so, we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 1 John 4:16 NIV

The meaning of Falling in love is to begin to feel romantic love for someone. They fell (madly/passionately) in love (with each other).

The word love appears 684 English Standard Version. 442 King James Version:  479 New American Standard Bible: 759 New Living Translation: and 686 New International Version.

Who does this? Falling in love with God, how does this happen… Sure, many of us love Him in many ways…And many know they Love God and cling to the scripture that God loved us before we ever loved Him. “We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19, ESV)

Sure, you love Him, but are you IN LOVE with Him? Are we head over heels in love with Him? Do you put Him above all else? Is this type of love even possible with God? When we fall in love at this level, He consumes our thoughts. He fills us with an unexplainable joy... We can even become much like a giddy child. Many in this world who do not know this type of LOVE may see this as strange. It's because they have not felt Him deep in their soul and lack understanding.

His Love cannot be compared to anything in this world… This love is a spiritual love that defies our human understanding. He and His love are so hard to contain that you want to share Him with anyone who will listen. It truly is an overflow from Heaven that can tap into all of your emotions. … It's His amazing gift. And yes, I can share that He is a romantic soul … Who do you think invented this type of LOVE? It’s Him… It’s always been Him.

Early in my journey as many of you know I was not looking for Him. And I had no religious background. But He reached down and touched my soul and sent me on the incredible journey of discovery.

During my discovery, it happened… I fell in LOVE with Him!! I did not understand how I fell in love with Him, But I fell in Love with Him ! all of Him: the Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. This experience has left me forever changed.

I can share that when this happened, I was spending a lot of time discovering Him. I had a hunger in my soul to know Him deeper.  I will admit my time was not spent reading scriptures. Because truly, I found them confusing. (Although reading the Bible works for many) My time was spent with Him, engaged in conversation and meditation, and sharing Him with others. This was not my normal character, and I found myself way out of comfort zone. But this drive to know Him could not be contained.... it even surprised me.

Eventually, I did pick up the Bible. But I see this amazing book as our guide to life. It gives us a peek into the history and facts that transpired many years ago. You will find nuggets of wisdom, how to relate to others, and how to Love Him hidden within its pages. He has taught and is still teaching His children many things.

During this adventure, I have discovered the key to falling in love with Him…He must become alive in our hearts. We must feel Him in our souls. You must commune with Him as you would with the most important figure in your life.

This is a quote that spoke to my soul many months ago. I hope it speaks to you.

“To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek Him the greatest adventure; to find Him, the greatest human achievement.”

Find Him, and Fall in LOVE with Him... all of Him because.

It's Him; it’s always been Him. He is knocking at your heart’s door. It's up to you to let Him in…

Falling in LOVE with Him is the most incredible adventure we could ever embark on… Don’t wait to start your adventure of discovering Him today. Your life will never be the same.

1 Corinthians 13 Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when a blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect nor selfishly seek its honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense.Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong.Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.

Perfect Love

Love never stops loving. It extends beyond the gift of prophecy, which eventually fades away. It is more enduring than tongues, which will one day fall silent. Love remains long after words of knowledge are forgotten. Our present knowledge and our prophecies are but partial, 10 but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away.11 When I was a child, I spoke about childish matters, for I saw things like a child and reasoned like a child. But the day came when I matured, and I set aside my childish ways.

Resurrection

Speechless.... It's Him! It’s always Him!!!

Meaning of Resurrection is the concept of coming back to life after death.

The word “resurrection” appears 56 times throughout the books of the Bible.

Whenever I have heard or hear the word  “resurrection” I have always thought of Jesus... Even before I truly knew Him... But I knew enough of the story from movies that this word seemed to always point to Him...

But as I travel on this spiritual journey ... Words that point me to God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit have taken on a deeper meaning.  So how do we understand this phenomenon we call resurrection?

The Bible is always a great source for our soul to understand the spiritual essence of where we come from and where our final destination resides. It's our road map to life and beyond.

Resurrection is such a beautiful and yet powerful word...

One must die in the flesh before this activity can begin. This concept is truly mind-blowing.

But wait. If we truly believe in the Trinity and the promise of eternity, we are taught that we serve an amazing God and that all things are possible.

As we are resurrected, we will all travel into this amazing spiritual dimension, like everything we experience in life.

Jesus did the same. He came to experience the humanistic side of life on earth. His mission here was to lead us by example and teach us many lessons about life, love, and our Creator.

His resurrection taught us of His heavenly power. It taught us about His undying love for mankind...He taught us to not fear the things we can not understand. He taught us to trust our Father with our life.

As He inhaled His last breath, He uttered these painful words...  “It is finished. Father, into your hands, I commit my spirit."

I can only imagine at that very moment in time there was a love outpouring from our Heavenly Father that is so powerful it breathes new life into His beautiful soul. It's a LOVE that gives us newfound freedom and understanding. We will experience peace and joy that is beyond man's limited understanding.  Our soul will be resurrected and transition to a new spiritual existence with our loving Creator. What a beautiful travel destination. Jesus spoke of this paradise.

Jesus’s gentleness, His Love, and His resurrection have always been the light force guiding us home.

I thank my Heavenly Father for loving me so much that  He resurrected my once dormant soul... because I was spiritually lost... He tried many times over the years to get my attention... But I was not tuned into His frequency... It actually took an act of God to get my attention...  and on the day the Holy Spirit touched my life, He awakened my spiritual soul...It's been an amazing journey of discovery.  And due to my experience, I feel that there seem to be many forms of resurrection.

But as we all know, Jesus is the ultimate example... because He could be physically seen by those who loved Him... His resurrection confirmed to the world that His mission was complete, and now His followers need to pick up His cross and continue to share His Love and legacy for generations to come. His life is such a love story!! It speaks volumes to our thirsty souls. Yes, He is alive, can't you feel Him? Can't you hear His sweet voice whispering your name? His love will tug at your heartstrings until you are willing to surrender your heart.

It’s Him. It’s always Him.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:21

Christian

Moses spent forty years thinking he was somebody; forty years learning he was nobody, and forty years discovering what God can do with a nobody. D. L. Moody

Meaning of Christian relating to or professing Christianity or its teachings.

The word Christian is only mentioned three times in the New Testament.

As strange as it may sound to many I do not use the word, Christian... I truly don't know why? But like many things in this amazing journey with God. I do not have the answers... It seems that my heart just instinctively knew that I had to follow this great LOVE that fell upon my soul on that monumental day in May of 2018.

At the time, I had no idea where this love came from or what it was... But it placed a hunger in my soul that could not be satisfied. The more I discovered the more I became enamored with this Godly presence. From the outside looking in people would see me as a ”Christian”???

It sounds like a label I could proudly wear across my chest. So why did I not throw the word ”Christian” around while I traveled this most amazing journey...

Come with me as I try to unravel this word.  What is the mystery of why I never call myself by this label? Don't be critical or discouraged if you use this word that is perfectly ok... God knows our hearts and our intentions and gives us all such unique and diverse opportunities to truly know Him on an intimate level.

So let's discover how the word Christian came to be and if it fits our individual needs.

The three places the word Christian appears in the Bible is in Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28, and 1 Peter 4:16

And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year, Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples (A) were called Christians first (B) at Antioch. Acts 11:26

However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Peter 4:16

Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian Acts 26:28

After diving into this word. It does seem to be a label given by the government of Rome to a group of disciples and or churchgoers...

I am set aside. I am a follower of Christ. And if you must label me you could call me a ”Christian” you would probably be right. However, I have discovered in this world of labels, labels seem to create division...

However,  I have also discovered that His love can build bridges between all diversities... One day we will all discover that we are truly all one world ...  under ONE great LOVE... under one supreme God.

Once bitten by this LOVE there is no turning back.

So call me what you will... I know who my heart follows... And you can call Him Jesus Christ... My Lord and Savior...

It's Him. It's always Him!!!

And if you must label me you can call me a Child of God...  Now that's a label I can live with!! It speaks of the power of His Love for His Child... He loves me... and that is a WOW...
