The word perception can be found 8 times in the Bible.
Meaning of perception: The ability to see beneath the outward form to the underlying, often hidden, reality. It is a necessary gift in dealing with people, understanding spiritual teaching, and interpreting events. Perception is important for effective service, though it is often lacking, even among God’s people.
Perception is such a personal word. It’s our view of people, places, and things. Based on our ability to see, hear, smell, taste, feel, and witness.
“Perception” does it define who we are? Or are we just a perception of how people see us? Or does it go deeper?
Our persona holds many facets of who we are. Do we hide behind a mask? Are we seeing the best in others.? Or do we see a perception that they have built to hold life’s scars and victories?
Is our perception of others true to their core? Does it shine from their soul? I say we will never truly know if our perceptions are on target. Our perceptions can sometimes be so misguided!
There are times when we let our guard down and let someone in because of our perception. We learn to trust we learn to love.. and suddenly their true colors bleed through and our perception is changed and our heart carries the scar.
And then on the flip side, there are the times we do not see the treasure in the one that may be standing right beside you due to our own misguided thoughts and perceptions.
But in life, we must take the risk to love and be loved. It truly is the essence of life. Without love life would be void. The beauty of this amazing gift would be stripped clean.. and sadness would fill the air.
I have found unless we study, spend time, and learn everything about the person... We will never truly know if our perception is indeed on target.
The mystery becomes how people’s perception of one person or group of people can be so diverse? When in fact the person or people are always the same... I found it’s due to each individual view based on their own personal life’s journey. I feel perceptions are emotional in nature and can set the tone for your entire day.
During this word study, I found myself asking what is my perception of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Such a vast subject 😀. But I am studying, learning, and spending the time to build a relationship that shines from His soul to my heart. My perception lies in the three as one ... and the LOVE I have felt in my heart and the peace they have placed in my soul...
The one common thread I have discovered is that all things always points to Jesus and His amazing unconditional LOVE
I seem to always walk away just saying WOW!
I pray and challenge you to dig deep and ask yourself if your perceptions are on target 🎯? Hmm?

The meaning of motivation: the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way.
What motivates us? Some have a drive from within. Some need gentle prodding. and there are those that need a good old push.
Is it the subject matter that gives us the desire? Is it a passion that lives within our souls? Or is it something we chase that defines our focus?
I can only speak for myself and from my heart. I feel I have always had motivation from within. Like many, I have had to reinvent myself a few times in my lifetime. There are many emotions that go along with reinventing oneself. It can bring excitement for the unknown. It can bring out insecurities. It can bring out a strength you never knew you held deep within! Self-growth can be a beautiful thing.
The beauty of motivation can give you a sense of purpose ... However, motivation without the correct passion and focus can leave you empty, unsatisfied, and always searching to fill a void.
I can further share that not too long ago I had the motivation, but things were not going as planned. (as sometimes things do) It left me feeling stagnant and my motivation began to dim. But then from a very unexpected place I had a significant spiritual encounter. And on that summer day in May, I found a purpose or better stated He found me. This event turned into quite a journey, and it has given me focus and filled me with wonder and a new zest for love and life.
I found that when you throw caution to the wind and just jump it can result in the most exhilarating most amazing time of your life.
This new, focus, and passion can breathe life into your purpose and the ripple effect will be seen and felt by others.
This catalyst has been around since the beginning of time. It is available for every man, woman, and child. You just need to open your heart and let Him in. He will guide you on a journey of love and discovery far better than you could ever imagine.
It's Him, It's always Him. 😍
Now that you know what motivates me. I ask do you have the passion and desire to chase Him or do you need gentle prodding. Or just a good old push?
Your life will never be the same. It will be richer than you could ever accomplish in your lifetime. So, I say throw caution to the wind and jump...

The meaning of thought: an idea or opinion produced by thinking or occurring suddenly in the mind.
There are 85 Bible verses about thought.
Our thoughts are a powerful gift. They help us rationalize and come up with conclusions to our questions that affect our mood daily.
However, it is said, that what we think is what we are??? That could be wonderful for some… and a sheer nightmare for others.
Are our thoughts positive? Or do we fill our minds with the negatives? Are our thoughts loving and kind?? Or do we go to a darker place??
I do believe we cannot control where our mind wanders. But we can control if we choose to keep it where it goes. I can confirm that our thoughts can be redirected.
For example, there is such a glut of negativity in our world. It makes my soul sad. I like many pray for change. I pray for peace. I pray for a world where our children can live without fear.
When I see the turmoil in our world my thoughts drift to a sad place and I feel a negative pull on my soul … But before these stories I see on all media channels grip my soul and corrupt my thoughts.
I have made a commitment to myself to find my peaceful place… and meditate with God and His word… When I do this, a beautiful transformation happens. It does not dismiss, the world problems. But I find my thoughts drift to Jesus and His LOVE. He gives me peace in my heart. My thoughts are filled with His beauty, He fills my soul with hope… He redirects me to a happier existence no matter the circumstances.
We all wrestle with our thoughts. Some are provoked on their own. Some we consciously bring forward. But we do control what we choose to let in and what we remove… If removal is necessary. I say, go to your peaceful place. Meditate on the positive. Talk to Jesus let Him help you redirect your thoughts to a happier place…
After all, our thoughts are who we are… Are you negative or positive?? Beware both show on your face and can affect your health and your quality of life! Negative or Positive thoughts?
I say choose… a happier place

Meaning of disposable intended to be used once, or until no longer useful, and then thrown away.
The word disposable does not appear in the Bible. But it does appear in God’s word. When any life is taken for any reason it is considered disposable by someone.
To God all His creations have value none are disposable. He will go to the ends of the earth to save just one. It must crush His soul when a life or a person is seen by human eyes as disposable.
When we as a society have grown up in a disposable world, I think the act of disposing bleeds into other areas of life. It truly hinges on our value system. Disposable does not always result in death, but it can wound your heart and make your soul bleed.
When we shun someone for their beliefs, their looks, their differences in essence we are treating them as disposable. I am sure if we look at our own life there will be a time or two when someone made you feel disposable… Or not worthy. This is something I truly do not understand. Why does this happen? How can we be so cruel?
When I turn the pages of the Bible to try to understand the harshness of this world, it brought me to a time when our precious Jesus was treated like He was disposable, and He was nailed to a cross. It was there many treated Him as worthless. Indeed this horrific event must have crushed God’s soul and literally it must have broken His heart. Our world demonstrated cruelty beyond comprehension.
I must confess I have felt this disposable feeling, and I can say it does wound the heart and bruise the soul. However, when we look to Jesus for answers, that is when disposable becomes a word that can leave deep scars. But our Savior's story shows us that yes there is an end, but there is also a new beginning. There is hope for a brighter tomorrow.
You see, when you dispose of someone or something there is always someone that will pick up the pieces and see the beauty. They will love and cherish what they see. They will see the value and marvel at hidden treasure standing before them.
And then, one day the ones who thought you were disposable, will see the treasure and regret the action taken. They will realize they missed an opportunity to love and to be loved. Love is an amazing gift from our Heavenly Father, and it should never be considered disposable.

Meaning of the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again. There are 102 verses in the Bible referencing healing.
Healing is such an amazing word. It gives us hope. I hope that we will be made whole again. To be told you are healed, or healing is good news. But healing comes with a price… To be healed means you have had an injury of a physical, spiritual, or emotional nature. All three work together even though they are separate… For example, if you are wounded in your spirit, your heart will feel the emotion of the wound, which affects the mind. When the heart and mind are not in balance the body will react. Thus, affecting your immune system and the body will eventually break down.
Wounds can bring pain, just in different ways. Pain is part of the process. Without the pain there is no feeling, there is no growth, there can be no healing. The pain is an alarm to our brain to push us, to the point of action… Because the human spirit is made to fight for life.
The good news is we do not need to travel this road alone… There is help, there is healing, and a Peace that will get you through the process. No matter what has happened or what you may be facing. Call on Jesus, He has been known to heal souls with His tenderness, He has been known to heal emotional scars with His love, He has been known to heal the body with just his touch.
I can say I know this first hand. Jesus has healed my body. I was in the OR being prepped for surgery when the doctor canceled the surgery and said he felt my wound had healed. Jesus has soothed my soul when the actions of others wounded me to the core. And the emotions of the heart, well they are still there but they come from a place of peace… Because I feel Him in my soul… And only He can heal us from within.
I do believe that the doctors should prescribe, Jesus as part of our treatment plan. When He is engaged in our recovery. Miracles happen. Some are expected, and the doctor gets the praise, and then there are those miracles that leave us in awe. Even the Doctor has no explanation. When we are in awe, there is no doubt all fingers point to HIM!!! All Praises go to Him…

In one form or another, the word perfect is found 129 times in 124 verses in the Bible.
Meaning of perfect - make (something) completely free from faults or defects, or as close to such a condition as possible.
Is perfection attainable? Do we each strive to reach "perfection"? I do think in today’s society there are unrealistic expectations of perfection. We see this in magazines, television, and billboards.
As a photographer, I understand the amazing enhancements that can be accomplished with photoshop. How did the importance of who we become that superficial packaging? Are we striving to be the best from within? Do we own a caring heart? Do we have a loving soul? Do we make a difference in life? The perfection we are running towards should have no price tag.
But I find to attain this rich quality of perfection we must understand what it looks like. The true meaning of perfection can be seen in the simple life of a man with a mission to love far beyond any boundary.
His attributes are many to be admired. He is Loving, Kind, Gentle, Forgiving, Committed, A Servant, Compassionate, Prayerful, Patience, Self-Controlled, and Humble, and the list goes on and on.
In my opinion, that is true perfection and what we should be striving to achieve daily...
The human “race” is not just a class of people, but it marks our race with destiny... The question becomes will you run a good race? Will you finish? Will you be a winner?? The prize is obtaining true spiritual perfection one day, one life at a time, for eternity. The chase is on, look for that perfect role model... And if you are not clear on who your role model is look to Jesus.
True perfection = Jesus

Meaning of temporary - lasting for only a limited period of time; not permanent
Is life temporary? Or are we on a limited timeline? I find many people are so busy looking at the finish line that they are missing out on life itself. I find this is sad.
If we would look at life as a temporary experience. Perhaps we could understand the true value of each moment, each minute, each beautiful soul that comes into our life.
I do not understand why we need to face our immortality to get a reality check. It seems many wait until they hear the news from the doctor that crushes their soul to start placing value on what really matters. Most then, they are dealing with their own health to fully experience life. But they try as they might to cram every moment of life and love into whatever time they have left. We must learn from them.
It's not the car. It's not the home. It's not the success. It is the memories we make. It's the love we give. It's the life we live !!! Show up for the people, in your life. Show kindness, compassion, love large. Yes, this life is a temporary stop and how you live and care for others will determine how and where and with whom you will spend eternity.
Don’t live a temporary existence of life. Life is a gift from GOD, DO IT ALL, DO IT NOW and look to the promise of eternity as a guide for your future destination.
Is this life just a temporary state of mind? I say it not, THERE IS MORE, SO MUCH MORE! How do you want to be remembered? Someone who lived a beautiful life of love or someone who lived a mere existence.
The choice is yours.
Let Him be your guide.

Pierce (of a sharp-pointed object) go into or through (something):

The word pierce is a word that can bring pain. The pain can be intense at the point of entry. Does that pain get your attention for a moment? Or does it make a significant impact on your life?
I think we have varied results. When our hearts are pierced. It’s not the wound that makes us grow it’s the healing.
Most of the time when the heart has been pierced it’s at the hands of another, or a circumstance that moves our emotional soul.
When we speak about our emotional soul my pierced heart grieved as I found myself in the book of John 19 (36:37).
It’s such a heartache moment. And yet such a beautiful love story. A story that has healed many troubled souls. It's a gift for all of humanity, It's a gift of hope for our future.
This gift is has been given to each man, woman, and child. It's a love far greater than any one person can fully understand.
For without love, and without hope. Life would be dark, it would be void. We would leave us a life of bleak existence with no promise of tomorrow.
As our Savior exhaled His last breath. His bruised body was pierced at the hands of another. And as the last drop of His blood fell, His prophecy was fulfilled. At that point in time, He gave us every ounce of himself just to prove His love...
A love that speaks healing, it’s a love that speaks hope, it’s an amazing gift of love that is ours for eternity.

The meaning of a scale represents in proportional dimensions; reduce or increase in size according to a common scale.
I have been vocal on subjects of love, peace, life, and relationships. All of which are God-focused.
I am not insensitive to the destruction and the lack of respect for life, liberty, and property. I see it just like you on the news every waking moment.
Truthfully it makes me mad 😡. It makes me sad 😢. It literally breaks my heart 💔and wounds my soul. 😞 So much hurt, so much pain.
How do we face each day and ask ourselves, how can I make a difference? How can I turn the tide 🌊? How can I bridge the divide? How can I restore my faith in God 🕊 and humanity? I wish I had all the answers!!
I do believe that if we would take a scale and put love on one side and hate on the other. Then ask, which one do you think would outweigh the other? Sadly, today I think hate may just outweigh love.
However, I have a challenge for each of us. If each of us could look at love as a single pebble. And then commit to putting just one pebble filled with love on the LOVE ❤️ side of the scale each day.
Perhaps together we could tip the scale towards more love and less hate...
So, when I do not engage in negative, hate, or hurtful actions or words... Please know that I am just busy gathering ❤️pebbles of LOVE. Because I so desperately want to tip the scale in such a way hate could not even exist.
I am just one pebble... So, I ask you today when you pick up your pebble where will you place it? Choices?? I pray you choose Love ... Your one pebble added to mine just might start to make a difference in one life, one day, and one heart at a time ❤️.
