Bitter

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1

Meaning of bitter (of people or their feelings or behavior) angry, hurt, or resentful because of one's bad experiences or a sense of unjust treatment

The word bitter is in the Bible 218 times...

If it seems to you that I have been distant and I have not been writing and posting as often ... your right... does the word aloof come to mind??? There is a reason driving my mood. I have been in process of moving from one city to another.

The last word I shared on my podcast two weeks ago was destiny ...  I do believe I am on a  destiny train and God is my conductor...  I am not sure where this road will take me. I can only trust Him with each new chapter.

An unprompted opportunity fell in our laps to move. We currently enjoyed living in Spring Hill, TN.

However many of you know that my Holy Spirit encounter happened in a city by the name of Triune.  Now color me surprised the new location is in TRIUNE, TN.   Ahh, destiny ...To further share,  I like many did not even know what the word Triune meant???

To my surprise, I discovered it means Trinity... Why do we ever doubt that God is in control??? ...

I am in the home in Spring Hill where many spiritual things happened to me... It will always hold my Triune heartfelt memories because it’s where I fell in love with God!!

It's there He gently guided me on the most amazing spiritual journey of my life. He introduced me to His beautiful Son and His very breath we know as the Holy Spirit spoke words of love to my soul..

At the moment I fell in love with Him I thought who does that? Who falls in love with God?  And I felt that many of my friends and family would think I she is losing her mind...

A lot of understanding and growth happened since that beautiful day... And I found out that many people fall in love with God.. I was just too new to this spiritual gift to know it.

I can tell you this is a bittersweet moment because I am leaving this location behind to return to where He loved me first..... This new location is on the very same lonely road in Triune, Tn. where He touched my soul for the very first time...  What an amazing moment in time...

And if you still think I am losing my mind... I can only pray you to find Him..  because there is nothing on this earth that can compare...

All life, All Love begins with

Him... the beautiful part of this journey with my Triune Loves is there is no end ...

I am trusting Him.. to show me the way through this next adventure...

It’s Him, It’s always Him.

In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back. Isaiah 38:17

Revival by Joann Turnbull

"In revival, God is not concerned about filling empty churches, He is concerned about filling empty hearts." ~ Leonard Ravenhill

Revive is mentioned 8 times in the Bible.

It means to recover or return from a state of neglect to closeness to Him, or an awakening to Him who made us.  We realize we belong to Him.

Reading about Revivals that have occurred over the years has always been something that has drawn my attention.

In a Revival, God makes Himself known in His power and love to one or to thousands.

What brings Revival to a person, a group, or to a thousand?

It can come after long requests for God to come. Or it can come during the worship of hymns and songs.  Or when we least expect it.

A trip to Kentucky made me think of the revival that came to Asbury College. It came unexpectedly at a student chapel meeting on February 3, 1970. The dean of the school gave testimony of his journey with Jesus that morning.  When he finished he asked if any students wanted to share what God had done in their lives.  Students began coming and sharing.  Many began coming down to the altar as the presence of God came upon all. Some were praying, some were worshipping and some were weeping in repentance.  What was usually an hour chapel meeting lasted for 185 hours.  Classes were canceled.  No one wanted to leave this overwhelming presence of God.  One professor said he felt as if he was baptized in an unaccountable spirit of love.

Our loving Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are willing to burst upon us unexpectedly.  They want to see those that are weary of well-doing revived to love and joy that cannot be stopped.  Hearts that are filled to overflowing.  Others may have strayed on to a path that has led them far away from their earlier joy and they need to come back.  Others are unaware there is a Son who loves them with such passion and He has to invade their space and show them His great love.

Today don’t refuse His love.  Grab on to it.  If it means you need to repent, do it.  If you have burdens to lay down, do it.

If He comes unexpectedly and fills you with His love, receive it.  God has no restraints of time or space. Respond to that spirit of revival as they did at Asbury College.  You will never be the same again.  You will be changed.  You will love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Psalm 85:6

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

Death

What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Meaning of death, the action or fact of dying or being killed, the end of the life of a person or organism.

There are approximately 71 times that reference the word death in the Bible.

Some may see this word as scary. Some may see this word as final. But there are those that see this word as change...

Should we mourn a life? Or celebrate its time on this earth?

This transition from life to death can be perplexing. Do we truly understand the implications? Many have traveled this road before us and could share the details if only our worlds could communicate.

I do believe death is a soulful experience. So, to have a better understanding we must approach this word with our soul and look toward the long term and not the short term of life here on earth.

I have found the beauty in this word.  I have found it’s not the end, but it is the beginning of a new life...

I am confident that the Bible has many examples of the word. So, hold that thought, and let’s peek and see where this word might lead us.

“The Bible says that when we are born again, we are new creations, our old selves are dead and gone, and we have new life given to us by the Holy Spirit of God (2 Corinthians 5:17).”

As we accept Christ in our lives many of our old ways will die.  When we love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind. We will want to please our Heavenly Father and we will be drawn to live a holier lifestyle. Many of our earthly ways will shed like a snake’s skin leaving the skin behind and thus traveling to the next phase of a new life.

I believe our soul begins a transition to enlightenment. A true and better understanding that we are soulful beings with an earthly short-term connection. Now don’t miss understand we need to take care of this body. To serve our purpose here on earth. But we must let our souls lead. We must be vigilant in pursuing a new spiritual way of thinking and know the decisions we make today can and will affect our soul's long-term existence.

“And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.” John 3:36

So, what is the answer? How could we achieve a comfort level about this word?

It is working on the most important relationship we could ever hope to build. With the one who holds the key to life for eternity. Find Him! Love Him and look toward this word as a beautiful promise of everlasting life from God Himself!

It’s Him. It’s always Him.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard-pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. Philippians 1:21-23

Adventure

Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure - St. John Paul II

Meaning of adventure an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity:

Are we ever ready for the Great Adventure??  How do face life? Are you timid and shy? Are you a risk-taker? Do savor the moments or are you so self-consumed you let the beauty of life pass you by ??? Do we grab life with gusto? Or do become complacent and stand in the mundane?

To complicate matters what does the Bible say about adventure?  Is there excitement? Is there a thrill for the risk-taker ?? Many people feel this old dust book we call the Bible is boring and old! Why bother? To tell the truth, I was one of those people... Boy was I wrong... lol

I have been on the most amazing adventure... Sometimes I never left the comfort of my own home. You may think that is impossible?

But, I have discovered the key 🔑. To life and Love... it’s the biggest treasure this world has to offer!! I have to admit I was not in control of this adventure, my journey has been in the hands of another...

It’s when I let go and let Him have control of my life is when life began to take on new meaning, and the mundane became alive! Even that old boring book began to come alive,  words started jumping off the page and into my heart!!! I began to sing a new song and had a bounce in my step. I began to look at each new day with the excitement of a child at a new theme park !! I could not contain my enthusiasm!  I had a smile appear and it seemed to radiate from within. It could not be wipe from my face ...

God was my biggest risk. In the beginning, I treaded lightly and I was unsure how this adventure with God would be perceived? So I held back ... I was shy about sharing my excitement. But as I trusted Him, I began to let go and let Him guide my life.  And my Love for Him grew. ( His love is out of this world) My vulnerability became less of a stumbling block ... And I found new freedom... He freed the child within ... It's when I let go. I found me... He has been the Greatest adventure my heart and soul have ever experienced!!!

Be a risk-taker ... Risk-loving God with all your heart, all of your mind, and all of your soul!!

Turn the key. Give Him control and you too will have that adventurous smile... Feel Alive!!

It’s Him, It’s always been Him...

Jesus answered him, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you.’ This is the great and supreme commandment.  And the second is like it in importance: ‘You must love your friend in the same way you love yourself.’ Contained within these commandments to love you will find all the meaning of the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37 TPT

Who is He? By Joann Turnbull

“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Daniel 7:13 ESV

Who is He?

I am writing this early in the morning.  The words of Psalm 24 came to me.  “Lift up your head, O gates, and be lifted up, ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in”.   As I thought of this my hands began to rise and I gave Him thanks.  That began a time of praise and love for Him who loves us so.

Sometimes we forget who we are.  We are busy with life.  Who are we???

We are a child of the King.  The One Who made the universe.  The One Who can stop time, the One Who can calm the storm.  The one Who loved us SO much that He gave His only Son that we might live for Him and have everlasting life with Him.

Who is the King of glory?  The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord strong in battle.   He is also that gentle Shepherd Who leads us each day and night.  He calls us by our name.  And if we listen, He will lead us along the path He has for us.

Today may this be the day you turn your eyes upon Him.  And you hear Him calling your name as He whispers, He loves you.  As King David wrote in Psalm 24.  “May this be the generation of them that seek Him, that seek His face.”

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods.  Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 24

Breeze

"My soul is awakened, my spirit is soaring and carried aloft on the wings of the breeze." ~ Anne Bronte

Meaning of breeze a gentle wind: “tantalizing cooking smells wafted on the evening breeze"

The word breeze does not appear too many times in the Bible.  However, the word wind is in the Bible approximately 52 times.

I find the word breeze so soft so gentle. As I studied this word I happen to be sitting under a huge maple tree. I actually happened to be sitting in my zero gravity chair. I was positioned in a laying down position, my arms stretch to either side. I was listening to beautiful music and I sat there watching the clouds drift by so gently. The leaves of the tree swayed in such beautiful rhythmic movement. The cool breeze danced across my skin, it was such a refreshing and calming moment.

Do we take the time to love our Father in the sweetest of moments? Do we thank Him for allowing that gentle breeze to penetrate our souls? There are so many gifts He gives us! Why are we too busy to see them !!

We have all heard we must stop and smell the roses a million times. But nowhere does it give the rightful credit to God for making the beautiful rose? Where does it say the scent of the rose was created by God. Stop and savor the beauty of the moment. They were made for you! By the most amazing spiritual love, we will ever be blessed to know!! I am grateful for all of His blessings great and small.

Have an amazing day... see Him in each beautiful moment.

It’s Him! it’s always Him

When the day's cool breeze comes up and the shadows lengthen, I will get myself to the mountain of myrrh to the hill of frankincense.

Everything about you is beautiful, my love; you are without a flaw. SOS 4-6

Senses

Come to your senses !!! Your life with never be the same.

Meaning of senses a faculty by which the body perceives an external stimulus; one of the faculties of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch:

The word senses is referred to approximately 21 times.

If we would take the time to analyze our senses and truly see what an amazing gift they all are!! There is no way we could not believe in miracles! What kind of mind creates such magnificent wonders? How do they work so perfectly in unison? And then they feed our mind, our hearts, and our souls with such precise information in split-second timing?  Sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. Can you even imagine life without these precious gifts?  The richness of life would be a blank canvas and void of the beauty many of us take for granted.

But as I began the exercise of discovering more about this word... I tried to relate this word to the Bible and I began to wonder do we give our Heavenly Father our all? Do we see Him with our spiritual eyes? Do we hear His beautiful voice? Do we touch His gentle heart? Do we know His scent? Do we taste His words and carry them deep within our hearts ?? Do we use all of our gifts, all our senses to thank Him for giving us the ability to paint a beautiful canvas of our individual lives..

Do you think He created these gifts for a reason? Perhaps to see His beauty? Perhaps to hear His voice? Perhaps to worship Him with all of our senses? Or do we only use a few? Or are we a blank page void of all the richness that He made available for us?

In this journey, I have been blessed to see Him with my soulful eyes. I have heard His beautiful voice. I have felt Him deep in my soul. I have tasted His words as they flowed from my lips ... as yes I have smelled Him in a warm summer breeze.

Not utilizing all our gifts only robs us of knowing our Heavenly Father intimately. We have difficulty understanding  His Power, His beauty, and His amazing gift of Love, and His brilliant colors. He is a beautiful wonder and we are His miracle children.

I stand in awe.  When we say we LOVE Him? Do we love Him completely? Or do we only give Him a fragment of our true self!  He has proven it time and time again that He gives us His all!

It’s Him, It’s always Him.

Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. Psalms 115:3-8

Confused

“God is the reason why even at the saddest part of life we smile, even in the confusion we understand, even in betrayal we trust, and even in pain we love.”

Meaning of confused (of a person) unable to think clearly; bewildered.

"she was utterly confused about what had just happened"

The word confused or confusion is referred to approximately 75 times in the Bible.

Where do we start? How do we do this? I am so confused about this word.

Confusion is just a state of mind or does it affect other things? Must we go through a period of confusion to find the value of peace and clarity?? Our thought patterns are so complex. Here are 7 skills that we utilize in making a decision. “Observation, analysis, interpretation, reflection, evaluation, inference, explanation, problem solving, and decision making.” I believe when the process runs smoothly we do not have the time for confusion. It’s when we find ourselves stuck in any part of the process we began to second guess ourselves resulting in confusion, doubt, and unrest.

When I look back in time and reflected on this word, I began to analyze when I last felt confused. I actually do remember. I remember saying I was bewildered and confused?  It was a significant moment in time. It was one that made a dramatic impact on my life.

I have always been pretty even-keeled. Pretty strong in how I approached life. But when I had a Holy Spirit Encounter, I remember saying I felt bewildered and confused and I felt like I was coming apart at the seams. I felt a love that was so difficult to describe and contain. I felt an energy level that would require little to no sleep. I felt an insatiable desire to talk to God and to learn about Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  All these things were so new to me.  Way out of my normal character and unfortunately, I was not prepared.

However, to fully understand the dynamics and where I am coming from I will need to admit I did not have a “religious background” nor did I study the Bible. So, my zealous behavior was not my norm and I found it very confusing. But my desire to know more about this overwhelming love was far greater than any confusion I could ever feel.  So, I surrendered my heart and began my journey.

He placed many people in my path and each one shared a nugget of wisdom. But the more time I spent with Elohim the more He wows me, the more He taught me, and the more He spoke to my soul.  He introduced me to His beautiful Son Jesus. I lovingly call Him Yeshua. I must admit I love His gentleness and loving smile, He knows how to brighten any day.

I have held on tightly to God’s hand, as I traveled on this road of discovery, He reintroduced me to the Holy Spirit. I say re-introduced because my first encounter was with Him… But at that time, I was too naïve to know it was Him. He is the beautiful sweet breath of God Himself.

My confusion became distant with each passing day. And somewhere along the way, I fell in love with Him, all facets of Him. My Heavenly Father, His Son, and His very breath… He has held me in my darkest most confusing moments and shared in each of my victories no matter how insignificant and small they seem. I love how He guides my heart and gently leads me to discover things He wants me to know.

And I think wow look what I found… LOL and then I smile and know in my heart He planted it there just for me.

One of my many lessons during this amazing journey has been, there is no need for confusion. Answers may not be immediate. Learn to lean on Him. Learn to trust Him with all things, Learn to LOVE Him above else. Hold on to Him tightly. Clarity will come with each passing day. And you may discover that you just might fall in LOVE and feel a LOVE greater than you ever dreamed possible.

It's Him! It is always Him.

Bought

Priceless in HIS eyes!

The meaning of bought -buy (bai) – present participle ˈbuying: past tense, past participle bought (boːt) – verb to get (something) by exchanging it for money. He has bought a car.

I truly could not find the word count for the word bought. However, it truly is a hidden treasure...

If I asked you today how much are you worth? Would you begin to start to calculate all the things you do on any given day? Would you or could you come up with an hourly rate time how many years you will walk on this earth? Are you aware that it has been calculated that a stay at home mom job is worth approximately $160,000 a year.. calculate that times a lifetime.. hmmm

So many moms feel that it is a beautiful but thankless job.. Do you ever wonder why as children we do not even think of the worth and value of the sacrifices made?? Until we become a parent we do not understand the true meaning of this love and sacrifices that are made on our behalf.

But what does the Bible say about this treasure of the word bought.. It truly is a selfless act did you know Jesus thinks you are priceless. There is no greater value He places on each one of His children. We can not even begin to understand the depth of His love and sacrifice. Unlike growing into the understanding of an earthly parent we will never be in the position to fully understand the complexity of giving up your life so the multitude of His children can have a life... And although many of His children try to understand we are a selfish lot...

Do we love Him with that type of sacrificing love? Do we even sacrifice our time just to spend time with Him? Or are there more important things to do... and we just try just to fit Him in when we have a few minutes to spare ... Just keep in mind He thinks we are priceless and even with all of our problems He bought us on the very day we opened our hearts! He did not wait until we were on sale!!! Because we are all His treasures!

I can only try each day to repay this gift of love that He openly poured into my heart !!! And for the sacrifice He made for me I hope to prove to Him it was not in vain ... and that I appreciate Him more and more each day!!! To me He is priceless there is no other Love in our world like Jesus!

It’s Him it’s always Him !!

1 Corinthians 6:20 “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which is God's.” King James Version (KJV)

13 Christ bought us with His blood and made us free from the Law. In that way, the Law could not punish us. Christ did this by carrying the load and by being punished instead of us. It is written, “Anyone who hangs on a cross is hated and punished.” 14 Because of the price Christ Jesus paid, the good things that came to Abraham might come to the people who are not Jews. And by putting our trust in Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit He has promised. Galatians 3:13-15
