“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Daniel 7:13 ESV
Who is He?
I am writing this early in the morning. The words of Psalm 24 came to me. “Lift up your head, O gates, and be lifted up, ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in”. As I thought of this my hands began to rise and I gave Him thanks. That began a time of praise and love for Him who loves us so.
Sometimes we forget who we are. We are busy with life. Who are we???
We are a child of the King. The One Who made the universe. The One Who can stop time, the One Who can calm the storm. The one Who loved us SO much that He gave His only Son that we might live for Him and have everlasting life with Him.
Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord strong in battle. He is also that gentle Shepherd Who leads us each day and night. He calls us by our name. And if we listen, He will lead us along the path He has for us.
Today may this be the day you turn your eyes upon Him. And you hear Him calling your name as He whispers, He loves you. As King David wrote in Psalm 24. “May this be the generation of them that seek Him, that seek His face.”
The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 24
