Humble

We have to humble ourselves and the way you do that is by serving other people. Tim Tebow
Humble most often refers to a lowering of pride or arrogance but may refer to a lessening of power or importance. Humility is used in the Bible, refers to a godly posture of the heart.

The main difference between humble and humility is their grammatical category; humble is an adjective whereas humility noun. Thus, humility always refers to a quality whereas humble refers to the thing or person that is being modest.

Unfortunately, in our materialistic world. People see loving traits such as humble and meek, as a weakness. Not realizing it is actually power under controlThere is no pride needed. Because there is a deep confidence that shines from within.

However, it’s my opinion the lack of humbleness and the wielding of this type of pride show large insecurities.  It shows a lack of self-confidence thus resulting in the drive to prove oneself. The question I have is, “can humbleness be taught? I say yes, “I feel our society needs an infusion of humbleness we need to learn this trait and exercise it daily.

Our children need to witness this in our hearts so they can become role models for future generations. I personally love humble it’s an amazing trait to chase. It has nothing to do with the materialistic world and has everything to do with the confidence felt in the heart ...

If you yourself or someone you know, is in need of a role model you can find this amazing trait in Jesus. Find Him, Let Him help you be a role model that will teach this trait for generations to come. Be humble, Be Kind, Be compassionate, and give love. Our world needs you!

“And when he lived as a man, he made himself even less important. He obeyed God completely so that he died. He even died on a cross!”
Philippians 2:8

Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6

Treasure

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
Meaning: a number of precious metals, gems, or other valuable objects: keep carefully (a valuable or valued item):

As we dive into words and truly try to understand their meaning, there are those words that we think we have a full grasp and understanding.  Treasure seems to be one of those words for me. When I think of treasure, I immediately think of precious commodities such as gold, silver, and diamonds, etc.

However, for this exercise, I asked myself, Who or what are the things I treasure most?  And how do I view this word in our daily lives??? We all have those things we value greatly. So, I searched within my own heart and asked myself what treasures live in my heart?

My mind immediately went to relationships. For me, these are the most precious treasures we have on earth.  And why we even exist! Our relationships and how we love others should be valued more than diamonds, gold, and silver. We invest our time. We try to understand everything about them, and we fall in love with the very essence of who they truly are.  However, to fully understand this word, we then must peel back our hearts and ask ourselves these questions.

Who has captured that attention in our hearts?  To whom do we give our care? To whom do we give our time? When looking for answers I searched my heart and opened my Bible for guidance. I found Jesus teaches us the obvious answers we must love our family and friends as we love ourselves and above all, we must love God with all our heart, mind, and soul.

I would like to think we all try to cultivate these relationships to the best of our abilities. But then I thought do we really try to cultivate all of our relationships or do we take some of these for granted? Do we dismiss opportunities? Do we turn our backs and give them limited time, thought, or understanding? Do we truly cultivate and work on our relationships?

And then I began to ask myself, do we take great care and truly love and build a relationship with the one who teaches us how to value LIFE?  He teaches us to love and how to grow these treasures? Do we give Him our care? Do we give Him our time? I think if we search our hearts for these answers, we all could do a better job of becoming better farmers and work harder on cultivating all of our relationships. The time and care we give will grow into treasures that we cherish for a lifetime. Life on earth is fleeting, tomorrow is not promised.

So, I ask, search your heart for your treasures, and see where do you exercise your care? With whom do you spend your time? And have we fallen in love with the essence of who they truly are? If you need help cultivating your relationships look to Jesus as He is the ultimate example. If you take the time to understand the true essence of who He truly is, you will fall in love. And there you will see into His heart and you may be surprised to see YOU are hidden among His most precious treasures.

Love Him, make Him your most treasured relationship. And watch your life grow into a beautiful garden for the world to see.

Its Him, It's always Him.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12 KJV

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matthew 22:37 KJV

Touch

To be LOVED is to be touched, to be touched is to be LOVED.

In the King James version, the word touch appears 48 times. Meaning of touch: an act of touching someone or something:

The human touch can be as soft and gentle as the morning dew, as beautiful as a rose petal and as memorable as the most precious moments of life. .... Our skin is so hypersensitive it can feel a breeze as it skims across our skin's surface.

I have witnessed a newborn child react to the touch of her mother’s skin. The skin holds a subtle hint of a scent uniquely all its own. There is something magical that happens to the heart when we are able to hug, caress someone’s face, or feel a soul connection by simply holding someone’s hand.

Is it a beautiful gift that we have taken for granted? Are our human privileges eroding with each passing day? I say yes, due to a virus our privileges seem to be changing daily...

However, I feel God made humans with such resilience and adaptability. You see when one of our five senses are taken away, it’s been proven that we develop strengths in other areas... For instance, a blind person can identify you by your scent or by the sound of your footsteps as you walk into the room.

The beauty of touch is it has been a gift since Biblical times. Jesus used the gift of touch to heal the sick... to make the blind man see, he used touch to heal physical and mental wounds.

But the most significant touch that He uses today is to touch our hearts with a love far beyond our understanding. How can this happen today without the physical touching of the skin?  I wish I knew? I can only share that His touch is a precious miracle. This touch has beaten death, this touch can heal people’s hearts. It has the power to save souls from the depths of despair... His touch can open your heart to the most amazing LOVE you will ever experience. If His amazing gift of touch is available without physical contact, I can only imagine what it will be like when I can physically hug Him or caress His face or just simply hold His scarred hands. I am blessed to be touched by...

Him, it’s always Him!

The beauty of His example is,
if the gift of physical touch is put on hold ... Keep reaching out and touching hearts ... Until the day returns that we can physically hug, we can physically caress a loved one’s face or physically hold their hand. It’s our God-given miracle and the best gift in the universe...

It’s LOVE It’s always LOVE.

“This is the rule that I give to you: You must love each other, in the same way, that I have loved you. A person really loves his friends if he dies on behalf of them. Nobody could love anyone more than that.”
John 15:12-13 EASY

“When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead person. Then he put his right hand on me, and he said to me, ‘Do not be afraid! I am the one who is the first and also the last.”

Star ⭐

The Greatest Star ”He" is the Greatest Gift!

The word "stars" is in the King James Version of the Bible 51 times. It is in 50 verses.

Meaning of Star: a fixed luminous point in the night sky which is a large, remote incandescent body like the sun.

The night sky illuminates with these amazing lights we call Stars. They seem so beautiful yet so far. There is such peace and a romance about them... As we sit amazed by their beauty, I can’t help thinking wow there are so many? They are God’s beautiful creations and in his meticulous fashion, He named everyone.  Just wow!

Imagine when we have a child just how difficult it is to pick a name for that one child. God's vastness, God's imagination, God's power! He has the ability to create such a wonder in my heart! He never ceases to amaze me. And then my soul is directed back to the stars ... and the Morning Star comes to my mind...

Have you had never witnessed the beauty of the Morning Star? It carries such a majestic grace, beauty and it has a light that carries amazing hues of soft colors that glitter as they dance across the impressive sky. It shines a brilliance brighter than any star. Its light has the most amazing warmth we can even feel it in our very bones... It has a magnetic pull on our souls. As we gaze and take in its splendor.

I can hear the name of this Bright Star being whispered into my soul...It echoes into the deepest chambers of my heart. It's a  LOVE that takes residence in our souls and shines a light for others to see...

The Brightest Star’s name has been on the lips and lives in the hearts of many souls. It transcends time and space!  It has a Beautiful LOVE story of its own. Thankful

Thankful for the gift of you !!

The word thankful is only mentioned 7 times in the bible.

Meaning of thankful, feeling of thankful or expressing gratitude; appreciative.

Grateful feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful

I must admit I started today by looking at the word grateful. My first thought was just how do we walk daily with a grateful heart. So, I turned to the Bible for a few words of wisdom. To my surprise the word Grateful is not even in the Bible?? What? Not in the Bible?? That’s impossible? Right!

So, we picked a similar word for this study and our word became thankful ... Because of my surprise I compared the meaning of both words.  The two seemed so similar. Each word has the other word in its description. What made them slightly different was gratitude contained (kindness) and thankful did not. Both can be almost interchangeable. Whew, now that we cleared that up??

I began to think what I am thankful for and who should I be thanking??  I found myself reflecting on the past 2 years and on my life in general. The list of people I felt thankful for became clear. I have been blessed since birth to have the most incredible loving parents. They continue to supply me with balance and abundant love... My husband and life partner keeps me grounded and loves me for who I am no matter where my journey takes me. My children are my most precious gifts, I have been given the privilege of watching them grow into the most amazing adults I know. So proud of who they are!! They have been blessed with loving life partners. And I have been given the most amazing beautiful grandchildren who bless our lives with so much love and laughter it makes life a daily adventure ... I am thankful for my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew. You all have sprinkled me with love and have supported me though out my entire life. Friends new and old. You take the time no matter the season and supply me with love and understanding, enriching my life just by being the incredible you. You all know who you are!! I am thankful for my sister for sharing with me our beautiful childhood memories and for continuing to watch over me from heaven.

Lastly I am thankful for my renewed relationship, with my Heavenly Father. His love set my heart a blaze 🔥... I am forever grateful to Him for creating me and orchestrating, such an amazing lifetime of people that have given me so much LOVE. I have been truly blessed.

Our Relationships and LOVE are the essence of life. Cherish each and every one of them. Life is short!!! Don't let one day go by without telling someone how you feel, make every effort to forgive and mend any relationship that has been broken.

Spread Love!  Live life with such excitement and flair, that those watching will see your light shine so bright that they will feel the need to buy into what you already know!! God is in control and has given us the keys to live a LOVE filled abundant life. But you must unlock the door to His heart and follow Him to reap the rewards.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; His love endures forever 1Chronicles 16:34 NIV

Savior

To the truth that Father God has sent his
Son to be the Savior of the world
1John 4:14

The word “Savior” is found 37 times in the Bible; 13 times in the Old

Meaning of Savior: A person who rescues you from harm or danger.

However, what and who is this person that we see as our savior?? As a child, we see superheroes in our everyday world...Batman, Superman, Captain America, Parents, Teachers, etc.  This list of what we label as a superhero goes on, and on.

As we grow up, we find that we need these type relationships to feel secure loved, and safe. However, as an adult, we think that things should not be so scary! And we are strong enough to handle most things on our own. However, I do feel there are many times in our world we need a superhero that can give us an unexplainable LOVE and that can soothe our troubled souls.

We need a superhero that can flex his power to protect us from the darkness that creeps in from unexpected places! We need a superhero that can bestow peace in our hearts as we maneuver in this turbulent world!! He can be your best friend, your father, your comforter and the list goes on. He can answer your questions about life, love, and relationships. He always has your best interest in mind.

I know of such a SuperHero.

He is larger than life. He shows amazing strength! He can heal us with just a touch of His hand! He has defied death! His LOVE is far beyond what our imagination can fathom! He makes himself available 365 days a year, day or night. You can bring Him all of your victories, disappointments, and life challenges. He will welcome you with open arms! He will not judge you. He will LOVE you and gently guide your heart. There is no other SAVIOR that even comes close.

He was born in a modest setting with very little fanfare. He came to teach us by example. He came to show us how to live, how to love, and how to gain peace in our hearts. He came to offer us a plan that will give us abundant life with Him for eternity. No one in our past, in our present or in our future will ever have the power to deliver such a commitment.  He is the most precious gift from God, and He was given to all mankind!! His name is Jesus! He is my Savior, He is your Savior ... He is our SUPERHERO.  We need Him today in our conflicted, unpredictable world more than ever.

Its Him, It's always Him!

“The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; thou savest me from violence.”
2 Samuel 22:3

“For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 KJV

FIRE!! 🔥🔥

Set a fire in my SOUL, I want more of you!

Fire is mentioned 506 times in the KJV of the Bible.

Fire is a consistent element in the relationship of God with His people, often being used as an instrument of His power, either in the way of approval or destruction.

Fire seems like such a simple four-letter word, but it can wield so much power. It can mesmerize your thoughts. It is dangerously beautiful. It can bring amazing comfort or devastation when not properly contained. But we as humans are so attracted to its light and warmth, we have even tried to harness its power. It is an amazing scientific phenomenon or is it??

When we turn to scriptures, we find that fire has been a part of God’s communication with man since the beginning of time... Is it fire like we know?  or is it His brilliant light that is discussed in his word known as his Glory!! It so vast that it must overflow and shine brighter than any light or star is known to man??  He Himself has appeared to man as fire on several occasions in the Bible...Did he show the ones discussed in the Bible his full Glory ?? or was it just a fraction??? He has also utilized fire for that scary word called judgment. That gives us something to think about?? Hmm 😳

To truly understand His fiery presence and His power is a task beyond our human capabilities. So, I will take this opportunity to go to familiar territory. I have not had the privilege of seeing God’s Glory wield this type of “FIRE” power.

However, he had another plan.  He ignited a FIRE in my Soul... I can say, it can mesmerize and consume your thoughts. It can bring the most amazing unconditional LOVE and comfort to your very existence. We as humans are so attracted to His light and warmth, we are drawn to learn everything we can about Him, His Son, and His Kingdom ... His power cannot be harnessed!!!  Once he ignites your heart, the FEELS 🥰are difficult to contain. Your emotions and excitement are on FIRE and your mission becomes to share the wonder of Him. And to help strike a flame in others ...

What an amazing time to feel the HEAT !! GET LIT !!! 🔥.

“and you said, ‘Behold, the LORD our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, yet he [still] lives.”Deuteronomy 5:24 AMP

Jeremiah said. His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.  Jer. 20;9

Wine

"For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine
until the kingdom of God comes."
 Luke 22:18
The exact word “wine”, without being compounded, is mentioned in the King James Version of the Bible 231 times.

Meaning of wine. The alcoholic fermented juice of fresh grapes used as a beverage. Wine or a substitute used in Christian communion services.

Wine many of us take this beautiful rich bodied drink for granted. We enjoy the aroma, taste, and how it pairs with our favorite dishes.

But there is more to this aromatic drink. It has such a beautiful history.. It holds such an amazing symbolism.  So follow me into the heart of the winemaker. He is a Master at His trade.  He creates a beautiful masterpiece from a simplistic beginning. He gathers the right equipment. Picks his favorites grapes, and then the magic begins.

The Master Wine Maker takes such pain, such pride, such care, and such love to make it the best it can be. As the grapes began there beautiful transformation. They are cleansed, crushed, pressed, a few more ingredients are added and then they are carefully placed in a cool dark place. Time and much care is given. As the changes take place, the Master carefully checks the progress day by day.  Until the day the Master sees His creation is ready to be shared with the world.  With pride and great love, He shares His beautiful masterpiece.

Have you ever wonder why Jesus’s first miracle was to turn water into wine?  Here are my thoughts. He is the Master Wine Maker. He is the Vine.. and as we love him as much as he loves us we will become the His special grapes, and as we grow in Him, He will continue to take such pain, such pride, such care, and such love to make us the best we can be.

This Scarlett thread of wine is woven into His life tapestry.  We remember Him every communion with this very symbol “wine” It’s His first miracle, it’s His blood of life. It’s a gift from him and our Heavenly Father. Jesus himself said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.”

The question becomes are you willing to be a simple grape in the Masters's hands ??

“LeChaim” 🍇🍷

It’s Him, it’s always Him.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 KJV

“Jesus said, ‘I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. Some branches that are part of me may have no fruit on them. My Father completely removes all those branches. But other branches do have fruit. My Father cuts all those branches to make them better. Then they will be good and make more fruit.” John 15:1-2 EASY

Oil

"The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:5, NIV:

The most common word for "oil" in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word Shemen. It occurs 192 times.

The most common usage of oil in the Bible was to symbolize the Holy Spirit. It was used to portray the blessings of God and his power. Oil was used to anoint the sick, leaders, and as a blessing when Jesus washed the disciples' feet and rubbed them with oil.

Oil a golden sweet rich commodity. What made it so precious? Its value has been appreciated for centuries. It was traded, it was consumed, it was used for anointing, it has been used to light lamps to chase away the darkness, it has been used to adorn beauties in biblical times... it has healing properties.

There were several oils used but it seems the most popular oil was olive oil. It carries symbolism throughout the Bible and is still utilized today. The fruit of the olive tree is crushed at a high intensity to squeeze out this valued golden liquid. I did a further investigation to find our body is made up of an oil substance as well. It keeps our bodies well lubricated and assists our immune system and plays a significant part in keeping us healthy.

So, when I look at this precious liquid. I see it as a beautiful product that God has produced to sustain life.  My word study seems to always bring me back in time. Jesus was very much like the beautiful olive tree. He gave us His best fruits. He was crushed and bruised and this precious life-sustaining product (oil) flowed to cleanse our lives.

However, its value is like no other. This gift is truly priceless!! The thought of His sacrifice crushes the very fiber of my existence. It’s a gift that I can never adequately repay. I can only love Him far beyond my own understanding. It’s a love that grows on such a spiritual plane many searches for it but thinks it is difficult to find or even understand. It truly is simplistic we make it difficult when we lead with our minds.
I say lead with your heart and soul, and you will find this symbolic oil is a priceless gift from Jesus. when you find Him, your life will never be the same.

It’s Him, It’s always Him.

1 John 2:27 “But the anointing that you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him."

First John 2:20 “But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge."

Music

Michael W. Smith / Bridge Stone Arena / Nashville TN.

Music is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. However, I must confess I enjoyed music as a child but as an adult, I did not possess a large collection of music.  I did not have a particular genre or artist that I liked. I do not play an instrument, nor do I sing for public ears to hear... (lol). However, God's plan for me changed so many things in my life including a new-found love of music... Like many of us, I rely on talented men and women to bring the tune, melodies, and lyrics to life. However, I do believe that Music is a gift from heaven.

My story started by a friend introducing me to her songs where I heard and felt a stirring in my soul of spiritual nature. However due to her lack of empathy and spiritual knowledge she became fearful. She did not understand the magnitude of what was about to unfold. So, she swiftly removed herself from my life.

However, in her defense, I was not equipped to know what the days ahead with God would bring. I tried to wrap my head around His great Love and vastness. Simultaneously I grieved the loss of my friend. However with each passing day, my focus became clear, and God began to gently guide me to songs that spoke a soothing sweetness to my soul. I could feel the rhythms in the deepest chambers of my heart. The lyrics continued to deliver thought-provoking messages as I continued on my spiritual journey.

I felt a beautiful love for God, something I had never experienced in my lifetime. However, I could feel this LOVE growing with each moment that past... It seems that the music and lyrics began to fuel a spark hidden deep within. These emotions came rushing forward at great speeds. There were times I felt confused because these emotions had laid dormant within me for so long. However, what started as a small spark, soon became a raging fire and my relationship with God became alive.

Several months ago, my new found loves (The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) merged and that blew my soul wide open. That day like many days before I had been listening to a song on my iPhone’s earbuds while writing in my note app.  When suddenly from nowhere my writing began to be my prayer to my Heavenly Father...

Then with the music playing something magical happened. I found my communication with God became alive with a passion I did not even know existed. My prayers were no longer flat and robotic. Or as I describe them “grey” they were full of vibrant colors and held a love for God that has grown to a beautiful mutual love and understanding. My prayers are no longer prayers, but indeed they have become conversations.

Since that day I have continued to listen to music and write my communication (prayers) with him. I now have over 300 songs that I have downloaded most within the last 23 months ... To continue my quest for knowledge about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And from the gentle nudging of a dear friend, four months ago I finally started to open the Bible. To my excitement and surprise, I found music engrained and travels throughout the pages of the Bible ...

Did you know there are over 1150 verses in the Bible that reference a form of the following words, which may be related to music: music, melody, song, hymn, instrument, sound.

As a gift to yourself, I challenge you to try praying to music that moves your soul. You may never be the same. (earbuds and writing your conversations with God is fully recommended)

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” Ephesians 5:19 KJV

“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 KJV
