Hands

Meaning of hands: the end part of a person's arm beyond the wrist, including the palm, fingers, and thumb.

The word hand appears 1466 times in the Bible and the plural word- hands – appears 462 times.

Our hands are such an Intricate beautiful work of art.  Our hand is made up of 27 bones that move delicately without much thought. They work for each of us with little care. But if they are injured we then realize how for we take them granted.

Do you ever think of our Heavenly Father’s hands? Do they show an amazing amount of strength? Are they soft to the touch? Are they warm? Are they rugged?  If He made us in Their image. Why is it most of us do not visualize His look much like our own?? I personally can see Him in my mind’s eye. and I have felt His touch.

I do believe He has tenderly held us before He sent us to live on earth. And He is always willing to hold us now. All we need to do is ask .. but we have some responsibility as well.  We must believe with all of our heart that His touch is indeed possible. And then we must be ready to receive Him.

Believe me it’s the most amazing touch one could ever receive.  To be touched by the very hands that created every finger, every toe. everything about you? Just wow!

Can we even imagine what He must feel and think when He can touch His creation? It must warm His heart and bring a smile to His beautiful face!! As he gently looks and caresses who you have become.  His work! His attention to detail. His artistry!  He just WOWs me.

It’s Him, it’s always Him

1 Peter 5:6 And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand.

Psalm 89:13-15. Your arm is endowed with power; your hand is strong, your right hand exalted. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD.

Commit

To commit is to fully dedicate yourself to somethingCommit can also mean "perform an act" — often the kind that can get you in trouble.

There are approximately 67 Bible verses in the KJV.

To clarify this word I wanted to know the difference between commitment and promise. And this is what I found. Commit is to give in trust; to put into charge or keeping; to entrust; to consign; -- used with to, unto while the promise is to commit to something or action; to make an oath; make a vow.

Now I ask you are you all in? How much are you willing to give? When we commit do we hold back just a little? Are we afraid of commitment? Are we scared of failure? Or do we commit to complete?

We sometimes wrestle with the feeling of giving up on our freedom, our lifestyle, our way of thinking. What drives us to commit to someone? or to a project or to ourselves?

I think the driving factor of commitment is centered around passion, love, and the willingness to offer unselfishly of your time, your blood, sweat, and tears.  I am a firm believer, if you cannot be ALL IN don't bother.

I for one take commitment seriously… I have felt the victory of commitment by others and that my friends is an amazing heartfelt feeling. I have also felt the crushing pain of someone that only gives the appearance of commitment and the relationship imploded at impact.

When I go to the Bible for a Biblical understanding of commit. I find the most beautiful commit played out between a Father and His son. The Son came to earth and committed His life to the Father’s children. He loved them, He walked among them. He LOVED them. He was so committed He gave it all !! HE was ALL IN!! Never did He fall short… Never did He turn away… The Father committed to never leave Him. Even knowing the suffering that was to come they remained committed to each other.

Jesus never stopped loving His Father. Even until the bitter end.  He continued to stay committed to the Father, the project, and to love the Father’s children far beyond what they deserve.

His last words prove the commitment and love they had for each other. As Jesus tortured body hung from the cross and He gasped for His last breath He called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit."  What an amazing commitment of LOVE. One can only hope we come close to achieving this type of love commitment to Him.

So now I ask you ARE YOU ALL IN ???

He is. Are you?

Its Him, It's always HIM…

Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. Psalms 31:5

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him, and he shall bring [it] to pass. Psalms 37:5

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3.

I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Job 5:8.

Jehovah

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"  William Shakespeare's

Jehovah a form of the Hebrew name of God used in some translations of the Bible.

Jehovah" was introduced to the English-speaking world by William Tyndale in his translation of Exodus 6:3, and was taken up in very limited fashion.

I am truly not sure why this word came to me today. It must be God wanting me to discover more of Him. In my research, I found a list of 955 names and titles for God.  That is mind-blowing and makes me wonder why so many? And which one is right? How do you know how to address our beloved Father?

I can only speak from my heart and my experience. Twenty-five months ago I was introduced to God by way of a Holy Spirit encounter. I knew Him superficially but this introduction changed many things.

Due to the enlightened event that happened during my walk, I started calling Him Elohim… And I found comfort in how that name resonated in my soul … And one day while praying I addressed Him as Father and felt it was too formal and I told Him so. I then explained I wanted to call Him Love because that is what I think of when I think of Him. So for approximately one year, I have addressed Him as Love.

And now today during this word study Jehovah came to mind. Jehovah seems to have been around since the beginning of time. I found that it is the most often used name for God in the Hebrew Bible (appearing several thousand times) / It appears first in Genesis.Hebrew —transliteration: Yahweh or YHWH.

So many names? So many titles? When and how do we use each one is a mind-boggling process? It is my belief that many names and titles were used through the ages. Because It personalized God the Father to whoever He was dealing with at that moment.

Each one of His children needed a name that resonated with their creator and their own soul. When you find yourself questioning our Creator’s name and how you should address Him. That is when you develop that bond. For example, do you have a special name “Nick Name” your significant other or your children? It’s usually a name that warms your heart. I think God wants intimacy with His children. It's not the name or the title that matters as much as the heart that will allow the name to be uttered with regard above all others and deep love from within our soul. If you will quiet your mind and ask Him He will guide you and you will find a name for our Heavenly Father that will fit your relationship like a glove. And your bond with Him will grow amazingly each day.

It’s Him. It's always Him.

Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect himfor he ... I will set him on high because he has known my name Psalms 91:14

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7:21

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. Genesis 22:14

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. Jehovah Exodus 6-3

“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” Psalms 83:18

Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:4

Calling

“Your profession is not what brings home your paycheck. Your profession is what you were put on earth to do. With such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling.” – Virgil

The word calling or call appears 189 times.

Meaning of calling: the loud cries or shouts of an animal or person: A strong urge toward a particular way of life or career; a vocation.

Are we called or a chosen people? Do we have a choice? Or does our life have a predestined path at birth? Do we have an innate desire to be drawn into a spiritual relationship with our creator? I do believe we are all called by God in many different ways. But do we hear His voice? Do we pursue that intimate relationship?

My journey always leads me to so many interesting questions to uncover. Many we may never know the true answer.  I can only speculate and wait on God to reveal them to me. Being called is an amazing gift. But the question becomes what do you do with this gift?

You share. You share your heart. You share your soul .. You share this amazing gift of Him and His LOVE with anyone who will listen... Many have been blessed to be called by Him. And there lives will never be the same! It will be better than anyone can ever imagine. Because if you know someone that is sharing Him... It can only mean one thing. It means that He has shared His Heart His soul with them... and that is the most amazing gift anyone could ever hope for, pray for, or chase....

It’s Him, It’s always Him!!

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16 NIV

“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:14 NLT

To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ Romans 1:7

Privilege

This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3

..Privilege there are 52 verses about privilege in the Bible.

Meaning of the word Privilege:  a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group: grant a privilege or privileges to:

It’s a privilege for me that you, my friend have allowed me to share my heart with you today. The word privilege seems to be making the rounds these days. There has been ownership and or fingers pointing to people of privilege.

We have become a society of self ..  a society of hate .. a society of division and a society of privilege.

Where and when did we stray away from God's plan? He teaches us we should not strive for the status of privilege among others. We should strive to love, we should strive to be humble, we should strive to show kindness.. we should strive for a genuine pure heart.

If you can own these virtues and make them your own.  The biggest privilege awaits. It is the privilege of being called His, His child, His Love.

We can only imagine the vastness, beauty, and privilege it will be to join His family and live in His Royal Kingdom for eternity.

Now that my friend is what I consider to be a true privilege. All others are man-made shallow and fleeting moments in time. If we are not careful those shallow moments can stop us dead in our tracks and we may miss that important moment when he calls us home.

It’s Him, It’s always Him.

“To him who overcomes I will give the privilege of sitting down with Me on My throne, as I also have overcome and have sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9

And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as Light into the world so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. John 12 44-46

Respect

(Image) Micheal W. Smith Concert - TBN - Nashville. TN..

Meaning of respect to regard; to have regard to in design or purpose.

The word "respect" is in the King James Version of the Bible 34 times. It is in 34 verses.

Respect is it earned or a given gift? Does one need to love to respect? Is it an action that has eroded with time? Have all forms of media been guilty of setting the tone? It seems many are not in the business of building others but they are in the business of how low can they land that proverbial blow?

This seems to trickle into many avenues of our lives? It's sad, it’s heartbreaking, it makes me wonder when and where will it end?? I see such discord, and lack of respect for officials, authorities, and God. Life organization in general.

I limit my media consumption because I prefer to focus on the good, the kind, and a greater love.  I feel we desperately need to seek our Heavenly Father's face! And when I look into His eyes I do not want to see a face of pain, or sadness because I let Him down.

Even before I came to know Christ I would tell my children if you do not have anything nice to say. DON’T say it !! And treat everyone you come in contact with, with respect. Act like it will be the last time you might see them... Respect others, Respect property, Respect yourself enough to always be your best. The respect you show others will reflect from the mirror of your soul for eternity… Remember eternity has no end …

For the ones that can not control themselves and disrespect seems to be the only way to respond. I do believe one day you will look into our Father's eyes…

I will ask you to close your eyes, and visualize His face… and be deeply honest.. As He looks into your eyes what will His facial expression be?? Only you know the answer. But He knows your heart, and yes He will always love you… But will He respect you? Will He respect your choices your actions or your words? Or will tears be seen streaming from His face?

It’s between you, and Him.

It's always Him.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Romans 12:10

Genuine

Genuine truly what something is said to be; authentic:

The word Genuine is in the Bible in 34 instances.

Do you think you are a genuine soul? What does it take to be a genuine soul? Can you be taught to be a genuine soul? Do you hide behind that mask you wear? Do you struggle to keep your persona under wraps? Is there something deeper that you hide from others?

These questions made me do some soul searching of my own. I would like to think I am a genuine soul.  I hope I live by that "what you see is what you get motto."  But even that can be tricky.  What if you are genuine but are not a kind person? You are the only one that thinks you are kind? But you have caused others pain?

Some people are truly good at hiding who they truly are.  And can give you a good solid portrayal of who they want you to see.  But ultimately who are they fooling? God sees us in our true raw genuine self. There is no hiding!

So how do we achieve this status of genuine? I do believe the key is freedom. It’s growing to know who you truly are. What are your dreams? Desires? Your fears! Your strengths and the list goes on. I do believe we must know ourselves intimately before we can reflect our true genuine self!

So I do believe the question becomes how can we learn to appreciate and move towards being the best genuine soul we can be? I know a great teacher! He can hold our hand as He walks us through the most amazing self-discovery you will ever experience! He is such a beautiful example of genuine. He has shared with me His genuine heart. His genuine love and His genuine kindness. We can try to imitate Him but we will fall miserably short. Because He is perfect.

It’s Him  it’s always Him

And we are all a work in progress!

The Life-Light was the real thing: John 1:9 MSG

Then all the nations of the earth will recognize that the Lord is the only genuine God. 1 Kings 8:60

There it was—the true Light [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] which, coming into the world, enlightens everyone. John 1:9

Home

Meaning of home the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household:

The word "home" is in the King James Version of The Bible 51 times. It is in 50 verses.

The word home can mean different things to different people. What is home? Is it childhood memories that are held in our hearts? Is it a building that holds our most prized possessions? Is it the loved ones that live in our daily lives?  Why do we long to always go home when we have been away for any length of time?   The human race has always built a “home” where we could feel safe, warm.. and protected from the outside world and the scary element of life.

Although I am guilty of being one of those humans. The word home placed me in deep thought. I re-evaluated my list above.. and thought every reason above can be taken away.

Over time life has proven this to me.  I have found myself having to rebuild a couple times. So where do we really place this value of home?

I do believe our home is within... It’s our heart. It's our soul. It is where our memories are made ...It’s where the Holy Spirit lives. There is a heavenly connection with our Heavenly Father and His amazing Son that is within. It’s there that our prized possession is truly built.  It’s that longing to go home that pulls us towards heaven.  I do believe many love ones will make it and we will be welcomed home one day. This world is just a fleeting moment in time. So as we gather our possessions and fragments of our lives on earth. Never lose focus where your future home will be.

It’s Him it’s always Him ...

            He is Home.

My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2 NIV

Proverbs 24:3-4

By wisdom, a house is built,

And by understanding it is established; And by knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Hebrews 13:2

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
