Prophecy

"And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.' Luke 2:10.

What is the meaning of the word prophecy? A prophecy is a message inspired by God, a divine revelation.

The word prophet appears in approximately 65 verses in the Bible.

I say WOW.... again WOW... I see so many messages with claims that God told them to share these thoughts and nuggets of information with the masses. There are so many ?? There are many claims so hold on to your hat because the storm and horrific things are on the horizon. OMG!

The thought of discovering which one if any is truly a message from God can be mind-boggling... And can make many physically worried and or sick!

When I googled the word prophecy my feed hit overload.. My eyes widened, my breathing became labored.. and the thoughts of what is to come sent my mind in overload... yikes 😳

The times ahead can be a scary thought.

However, my relationship with God gives me peace in my soul that He is in control. He has revealed to me a LOVE for His children that is beyond our own human understanding. Is that a prophecy? If I look at the meaning of the word prophecy then that is indeed a prophetic statement.

I would rather stand on the prophetic words “God's LOVE” than any other message. I have chosen to look ahead through the spiritual eyes God has given us. I chose to look to Him and only Him...

I do believe He speaks through a chosen few.. not the masses. But He is accessible to anyone who listens and spends time with Him. Anyone that will open their heart and soul and let Him in. I do believe that messages from God are messages that will not make us run around like Chicken Little saying the “Sky is falling”.

I do believe. We must not make light of any message heard... But !  we must investigate, we must sift all messengers, and their words through God’s heart and test it against God's word.

I feel many study the word and then twist it to make themselves feel important in the eyes of man. Many use scare tactics to bring attention to themselves, under the premise of "God Said". I do believe we must arm ourselves with God! His Love and His word so we can see through false words with our own spiritual eyes...

And if things in our future look scary stick close to Him... He is our protection. He is our future. He is our light source. He is our First Love, He is our All. Don’t wait for an intermediary to tell you what may come .. God will tell us what He wants us to know.. in His timing... He knows if He reveals too much many will carry unnecessary anxiety and fear...

He is the God of Peace. He is the God of Love. And when we trust Him for our soul's future, we can lay our heads down at night knowing He’s Got This !!! Today, Tomorrow, and Forevermore!  Stand back and watch Him !!!

He WOWs me!!!

It’s Him, It’s always Him! 🥰

Tune in and listen with Soulful ears, watch with soulful eyes. Love and Trust Him with all your soul, all your heart, and all your might!

“When people speak messages on God's behalf, do not refuse to listen. Instead, think carefully about everything, to see if it is true. Remember to obey anything that is good. But keep away from any kind of bad thing.”1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 EASY

“But when someone prophesies, he speaks to encourage people, to build them up, and to bring them comfort.” 1 Corinthians 14:3 TPT

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Rejection

A true friend is the one who drops everything to quietly sit with you when the rest of the world does not understand.

Meaning of rejection: The dismissing or refusing of a proposal, idea, etc.

We located 20 verses that deal with that ugly word rejection...

Rejection is a heartbreaking action word... And difficult for me to understand.  Sometimes, it is blatant and in your face. Other times, it is as subtle as fumes from a smoldering fire.... Both leave reasons that will forever burn a scar in the fiber of who we become. The wound may fade over time, but the heart will carry the scar.

Rejection stings; humans can be so cruel, cold-hearted, judgmental, and self-centered. I have witnessed rejection happen at any age, gender, or race... There is no respecter of person.

When you feel you have connected with someone or yearn just to be a part of something more than yourself.

You can become vulnerable as you open your heart to the risk of acceptance. You may even get close enough to share life and dreams and make precious memories.

And then, without any provocation or signals, they sever all ties and shun your very existence.

Or worse, sell you out for just a few pieces of silver! Your emotions become a roller coaster as you begin the rationalization process. You begin to question if it was something you did or if there was something you could have done differently. You question their heart and motives.

Regardless of your thinking, rejection is difficult and hurtful. It cuts deep into your soul.

How did Jesus deal with rejection?

God knows firsthand the cruelty of rejection!! He has been rejected by some of the ones He has loved the most!! Sadly, He is still rejected by so many!!! If rejection hurts us so much, I can only imagine how great His pain must be!!

Do we ever stop and think before we act? How are we so cold that we reject His love, or for that matter, love of any kind?

How did we come to reject the one who gave us life? The creator of all things! The one who loves us more than life itself! He has proven His love in life and in death. 💔 How does He forgive us for the magnitude of rejection we bestowed on His beautiful heart? I can almost hear His voice say these words.

“Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing.”. (Luke 23:34)

I do believe most if not all, rejection stems from a deep-rooted fear, insecurity, hate, greed, and/or judgment.

The most amazing thing I have discovered is that we can find that silver lining out of rejection.

Healing happens when we realize that rejection is truly not about the one being rejected but about the person or group that has executed the rejection. It shows their short-sightedness, insecurities, and brokenness.

I will admit that during my spiritual journey, I have also felt the pain of rejection. I am afraid many did not take the time to understand and rejected my vulnerable soul. It wounded me deeply. Many tears fell.

I wrote this early in my Spiritual Journey.

Heartfelt

You scarred my heart ...with no remorse. But I found the beauty in you making me bleed ... I found me.

That is when I felt the most vulnerable and when rejection hit home. Some of the people I cared about stopped all communications and cut all ties. I believe my pain was magnified due to my newly circumcised heart.

However, I discovered that the pain of rejection can actually make us stronger. It can put us in the position of forgiveness ... It can make us dig deep. It can make us rise from the ashes of what once was... and what could have been, and give us newfound hope that lets us look towards what could be.

It's at that time we understand that with God, all things are possible. Especially when we open our grieving souls to His love, He teaches us many beautiful things... He taught me the art of forgiveness and how to love even in the face of rejection. ( I am a work in progress)

There is truth in that old cliché.

"Freedom from pain is letting go.

" It’s not accomplished instantly! It takes work, love, prayer, understanding, time, and most of all, Jesus.

It’s Him, it’s always Him...

Give Him the chance to introduce you to the most beautiful person you may ever meet. You may be surprised that it’s you!

If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. John 15:18 NIV

Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. Psalm 27:10 NLT

All who hate me whisper about me, imagining the worst. Psalm 41:7 (NLT)

Enthrall

"When God calls you to something, He is not always calling you to succeed, He’s calling you to obey! The success of the calling is up to Him; the obedience is up to you." ~ David Wilkerson

Meaning of Enthrall captures the fascinated attention of:

The word enthrall is an interesting word I truly am not sure why it appeared in the middle of my prayer time today.. But He laid it upon my heart and I definitely needed to explore this word further..

Are we enthralled by Him, are we fascinated by His heavenly presence in our lives, or are we too busy and dismiss His grace, His kindness, and His love???

When I began to peel back the true meaning of this word it made me have a Hmm moment.

The root of this word is Thrall.

Thrall" then, as now, meant "bondage" or "slavery"; it comes from an Old Norse word, "thraell," which is probably related to an Old High German word for servant.

I did find over 100 verses that point to the word servant. I do believe many see this word and our egos began to get in the way...  Servant ...!!! No, I am better than being a servant?  I have worked hard to be who I am... our egos do get in the way !!

But then this word lead me here !!

If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. John 12:26

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

I am not sure how or why but He gently leads me on the most amazing spiritual insights ...

I am so enthralled by Him!!! How could I not be?? To serve Him opens such a world of love and wonder !!!

He fascinates me !!! His love has captured my heart...

It’s Him. it’s always Him!!!

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master. Matthew 25:21

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.  Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.  Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit,[a] serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:9 -13

Nothing

“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I'm Possible.” –  Audrey Hepburn

The meaning of nothing, not anything; no single thing.

We located 46 words that contain the word nothing… That is indeed something.

As this word began to make its way into my head…I could not help but have many thoughts dance through my mind. I could not clear my head enough to focus...

So I decided to think of nothing but God's face... Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and focus on nothing but Him!!! Imagine Him with me for the next few moments…His amazing face. His eyes are soft and kind. His hair is as white as snow. His facial features are strong and manly, His skin shows the age of a wise man.  And He has the most amazing inviting smile…

That is when a nothing moment became a beautiful something moment...  Do you see Him?

He has painted a vision in my mind of His beautiful face… and that is truly something.. Because when I see His face in my mind…I can feel Him in my heart… hear Him in my thoughts and feel a love in my soul beyond our world…

Do we take the time to realize without Him there would be nothing!!!

No me, No you, no earth, no sky, and the greatest gift no Jesus, no Holy Spirit... And no LOVE.

We owe our Creator more than we could ever repay.. more than we could ever own in our lifetime.. more… And all He wants is our LOVE… How do we not understand He wants nothing, no works, no objects we have acquired… he just craves our Love… He is the God of Love.. so without his Children’s love would He be nothing??

Many shy away from loving Him because they feel they have to give up so much of their earthly existence… But I am here to say…Once you fall in love with Him you will understand what is essential in this life.  You will find a peaceful Heavenly connection. And find yourself willingly giving up things of this earth for more of Him. For nothing is impossible with Him.. nothing can stand in your way of becoming everything He has created you to be!!! For life is nothing without Him!!

It’s Him… It’s all about Him!!

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. Psalm 73:25

Superficial

“Never judge a book by its cover. At first glance, even Jesus appeared unimpressive.” - Andrena Sawyer….

Meaning of superficial existing or occurring at or on the surface.

The word superficial is only in the Bible approximately six times.

Hi, how are you?  We all have answered fine thank you. Even before giving it any thought.

I do believe we all are guilty to some degree of superficially skimming across life like a rock, jumping and skipping across the surface just before it sinks into the deep abyss.

How many of us just go through the motions? It's easy to fall into the “grownup trap” of doing life.. work, family, and friends in such a superficial fashion.

How can we dig a little deeper? How can we truly say, stop the world I want to get off...

How do we go to church every week ... greet everyone.. saying our good mornings, how are you, and give our hugs, handshakes, and smiles.  And as our time together ends we say God Bless you and depart... But what happens in between? I believe many can say nothing.. nothing, happens in between.

It makes us question how deep is caring? How deep is the love? During this troubling time how many of us cared enough to call and check in with just one person? Just one person per day? Or even a quick text or email?

Are we a superficial society? Are we that distracted? Are we that self-absorbed?

But then I will ask, how deep can we go before we get hit in the face with the word boundaries. There is a delicate dance that we must maintain.

I do believe life is chalked up with risk? Are you a risk-taker? Do you care deeply or are you that rock skimming through life on the surface? Maybe you have commitment issues.. Or perhaps you are distracted by life? Or maybe you just forgot the beautiful art of loving. Possibly due to what others may say or think?

Then this word superficial hit a cord deep within my soul. What would we do if Jesus was a superficial soul? His life actually points us to a risk-taker. He went far beyond any man to show love to anyone that thirsted. He had no boundaries. He went as deep as our Heavenly Father allowed. He risked everything for all of mankind. Do you think He was a superficial soul or is He a deeply caring soul? Is He a risk taker?

Does He love you so deeply, you yourself do not understand it? Do you think He sees the optical illusion of a boundary? Or does He risk loving our troubled souls? From my experience, I believe He never gives up!!

Armed with, His gentleness, and His Love. He has the ability to go deep within our hearts, our mind, and souls. He is a wondrous phenomenon. He invades our soul, to reveal our

deepest thoughts, and to deposit a love that will change the very essence of who we are.

I ask you are you a risk-taker? Or are you that superficial soul? Do you want to experience the true gift of life and love?  Ask Him to cross the boundary to your heart and invade your soul... The changes you will feel will take your breath away. Some may be painful. But as you travel through life with Him you will fall in love. And you will experience the greatest human achievement you could ever encounter.

It’s Him, It’s always Him...

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:” Psalms 139:23 KJV

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. Romans 12:2

Choice

I choose Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. To these, I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then when this day is done I will place my head on my pillow and rest.”― Max Lucado -

Meaning of choice an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities.

There are approximately 41 verses that speak about the word choice.

Living life is chock-full of choices. As I thought about the word choices I did what most of us do. I Googled it ... And I found an article that  stated, “per many internet sources it’s estimated that an adult makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day [in contrast a child makes about 3,000] (Sahakian & Labuzetta, 2013.”

No wonder many of us seem so disconnected, so tired, so lost...

All through history many humans have made choices that have affected our world.. Our cities, our homes...and our personal lives...

How do we know when the choices we make are the right ones??  That is that million-dollar question? How do we know??? We all know life is such a mosaic of highs and lows and these are a direct result of the choices we make... Some bring us joy and some bring us heartfelt pain.

So I made the choice to peel back the pages of a book that many hold as a beautiful life manual.  Just how does the choice of reading the Bible stack up? It’s such a confusing book? Do we understand the language of long ago? I must admit  I thought the same thing !!! But my choice to discover more about a love that defines imagination found me making choices that changed many things in my life... Most by choice and I  have shared most of them openly.

The biggest choice that had the most amazing spiritual impact on my life was to love My heavenly Father with all my heart all my soul and all of my might. It’s a choice that many run too, many run away from.. and some dance in the shadows hoping that the minimum is enough.

I have not been asked to judge. I have not been asked to criticize... I have been asked to share a love that brings hope.. that brings us peace and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

It is a gift of love for every man, woman, and child.

It clearly is a choice...

I choose Him! And I will always choose Him.

It’s Him, It's always him.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. John 15:16

Protect

The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not protect you. - unknown

Meaning of protect - keep safe from harm or injury:

There seems to be approximately 70 verses in the Bible that speak of protection.

Ouch… How many of us have experienced hurt, or even bodily harm? I think it is safe in saying every human has faced moments in our lifetime. that we have felt we needed protection… We all have experienced that heart-crushing hurt, loneliness, and despair at the hand of another.  We have felt this range of emotions deep within our hearts and have felt those superficial wounds. Many feel the wound may never heal. All seem to leave scars. Many of us learn the art of cleaning, dressing, and healing… But we seem to carry the scars for a lifetime.

But how do we reconcile these hurtful moments while protecting our heart and/or soul???

Color me surprised… There is always seems to be a scripture… Proverbs 4:23… Talk about thinking of everything… This love story we know as the Bible is such a thoughtful gift from our Creator… He blows my mind… How did He know I would be here at this very moment researching the word protect…

I love it when He shows up unannounced. He knows better than anyone how to protect my heart… He gives me that peaceful feeling in my soul even in the darkest of nights… He knows when I need to hide in His loving arms. How did I keep Him at bay for so long?? What a lifetime mistake… Knowing where to run when I need His understanding heart and protection is a heavenly gift… It’s a gift of love that can only come from Him.

I must admit the most difficult task He has is to protect us from ourselves… We are our own worst enemy. We seem to not trust Him enough... We do not realize He has always been there. But are we so busy with life that we miss this gift of wonder? Is it part of our humanistic makeup that we feel we must be independent? We must do this scary thing we call life alone. We are taught it shows strength. Some have difficulty in letting go…

We will all experience trials every day… Many may leave scars. That is life… That is growth… These moments make us who we are...

But if you allow Him, He will protect your heart like no other. He will be that quiet whisper that soothes your soul in the darkest of moments…

We do not seem to let go and immerse ourselves in those precious moments hiding in His love… He is the greatest protector of our hearts and souls… we are all precious to Him…

Well, what are we waiting for don’t miss that lifetime opportunity… They are fleeting and do not come often enough immersing yourself in those precious moments hiding in His love.

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings… Psalms 17:8

It’s Him. It’s always Him... The protector of my heart and soul.

So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23 TPT

The true essence of God’s protection is the eternal indwelling of the Holy Spirit Ephesians 2:21-22
