Stand

'It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.' - J.K. Rowling...

The means of stand… "stand" is translated from the Greek histemi; in this context, it means "to continue, endure, or persist."

Do we have the strength to withstand our corrupted culture? Has our world become so twisted that we have forgotten our morals, beliefs, and beauty of life??

Why have we removed our Creator’s name from His Creations?

This is plagiarism on steroids!!!

Are our churches buying into the rhetoric of counting the heads in each pew? Are we measuring success by the size of the building… Has our worship become so structured that they have squelched the free movement of the Holy Spirit?

How can we shake off the chains and free ourselves to take His clean air into our lungs??

Can we stand up and be counted as a lover of Christ? Can we boldly raise our hands and say, Lord, I am here! Count me in!!!

I will admit it takes courage to set ourselves apart. It takes His gift of love to teach us how to live and save ourselves from the darkness that is just waiting to consume our world…

It takes the Holy Spirit to gift us the boldness to step out and share our Savior with the world!

SOS.…… Please save our souls.

We ALL need Him! Why can't the masses see Him? Why can't they love Him? He is our only saving grace!

I say wake up, people!!! We must stand Shoulder to Shoulder, Brother to Brother, Sister to Sister, and Share Him with the masses! Share His love with anyone who will listen…

It's Him!! It is always Him!!

Stand with me, raise your hand, and boldly say, “Elohim.” Count me in!!!

Father, I love you. I am your child today, tomorrow, and until the end of time!!

*Elohim is plural…. The Father, His beautiful Son, and His wonderous Holy Spirit… my 3N1

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Might by Joann Turnbull

“Thinking of you keeps me awake. Dreaming of you keeps me asleep. Being with you keeps me alive.” – Unknown

OK.  We must love Him with all our heart, soul, and might.

Might is an interesting word.  We might do something, or it might mean strength or power.  To love Him with all your might is a tall order.  Most of us might do it now, or for many of us, we might not do it.

Loving Him with all my heart, soul, and might is a verse that resonates deeply within me.  It is not just a commandment but a call to love Him with a passion that engulfs every part of our being, surpassing any feeling we have ever experienced.

In John 21, Jesus asked the apostle Peter, “Do you burn with love for Me?”   Peter answered, “You know I have great affection for You.” That was not the answer Jesus was looking for.

When we burn with love for Him, we don’t want to do anything to displease Him or hurt Him.  How do we know what would displease Him?  What would grieve Him?   We can even know the word by taking heed of His word and not obeying it.  To burn with love for Him is to feel that love grip your heart and soul with such might, power, and ongoing strength that you never want to let go for any reason.

You can’t explain that love for Him you feel deep within.  His power can make it difficult to utter a word or leave you stuck to a chair where you can’t move.  Loving Him with all your might is the greatest emotion our hearts can achieve.

Trusting Him is one thing, but loving Him with all your might is a deep and gripping feeling of love that grows stronger daily. It is a commitment, a dedication to keep the flame of love burning within us.

My thoughts have been rambling.  Please excuse me, but feeling that burning love that starts with a spark and becomes a flame never dies down.

Embark on a journey to seek Him with all your might, for He will become the lover of your heart and soul in this pursuit! This is not a mere task but a transformative process that will touch you deeply.

Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah: and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Self - absorbed

Hide yourself in God, so when a man wants to find you he will have to go there first. - Shannon L. Alder

Meaning of self-absorbed preoccupied with one's own feelings, interests, or situation:

 “So God created man in His own image;

So where and when did this train get derailed? Where are the life and love teachings of Jesus? Are our core values on vacation??? Have they eroded with time?

Have we become so self-absorbed that we have taken our eye off the ball?

How do we get back to that simple, that wholesome way of life??? Where relationship mattered? Where life mattered? Where love mattered?

It saddens me when I see our world... It wounds my heart to think that we lost our grip... Have we have become callous in our hearts...

Do we chase success so hard that we leave others in our wake?? Do we turn away before we take the time to understand? Or

Are you one of the hearts that truly cares?

Are we a selfish or selfless society ??? Do we truly deeply care ... or do we hit the like button and run... to the next victim or

Do we stop and truly try to make a difference in our world???

God created man in His image... He created our heart as well... Does our heart reflect His LOVE ??? Or have we dimmed His light?  I do not claim to have all the answers! But I do think we can make a difference... We can be less aggressive... we can be more understanding, more loving, more caring, or just plain... kind...

We can be that heart that can make the difference in someone’s day with just a smile and a kind word... or just STOP...

And say simply say I LOVE You... God loves you ... and mean it! Let’s not be a hollow image of God... Let’s learn how to shine to His light once again... let’s learn to live this life from the best teacher I have grown to LOVE... Jesus...

It’s Him. It’s always Him.

And I am a work in progress!  Never forget GOD LOVES YOU!

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4

Tongues

"I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself." Jeremiah 31:3 NLT

Tongues are mentioned eighty-five times within the verses in the Bible.

Tongues: used to describe a person's style or manner of speaking.

Tongues, what is this Heavenly language?  What is this spiritual gift? There is so much controversy about this word and its activities among churches and people.

How can we better understand it? Is it a gift we should yearn for, or should we block or remove those scriptures from the Bible?

I believe firmly that if you truly believe in God’s word. You can’t pick and choose what parts we like and dismiss the parts we do not. I feel when we do not agree or find a question with the written word. Our job is to do our research and get our souls comfortable enough to embrace what is outlined.

So, I will admit I do not practice this gift. But I am at the infant stage of my understanding of this gift… However, if and when God wants to share this gift with me, I will be a willing vessel. If this is indeed a heavenly language and you plan to go to heaven one day, maybe we should be open to learning this language to communicate with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Let’s put this in simpler terms: If you are planning a trip to an amazing destination and you will be staying there for eternity, do you think it would be wise to learn the language? Many of us find a translation app or a Berlitz online course to learn a few words.

So, if we look at the practice of tongues as just another language, I believe the stigma of tongues would fade, and we would be enticed to learn this heavenly language from the best teacher, God Himself.

If this gift of tongues is a language from God and He is love… this language must be the language of love…

From experience, I know that when I feel his presence, I do not want Him to leave, and I am willing to speak any language that would convince Him to stay.… So, speak to me. Teach me this language of LOVE…

And those truly blessed with any of His gifts are not out of their mind… Perhaps they are just in His presence.

It's Him, It's Always Him…

So, if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say you are out of your mind? 1 Corinthians 14:23

If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. 1 Corinthians 14:27-28

Immortal

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him
who sent me has eternal life.
John 5:24

Immortal is listed six times in the KJV Bible.

Meaning of Immortal living forever, never dying or decaying: “Immortal souls inhabit our mortal bodies."

Immortal truly does not seem to be a popular word in the Bible. It is only used approximately six times. The word immortal draws us into unfamiliar territory.

When we speak of immortality, it seems we tend to think of Hollywood’s vision instead of the true essence of the word. To live forever in a spiritual realm can be a scary thought!

Hollywood seems to depict the darker side of immortality. However, I see it as a beautiful promise. When I think of immortality, my heart and vision drift to the man who defies all logical thinking. He has shown us the deepest, most important vision of immortality.

He gave us hope; He has shown us the greatest LOVE ever known to mankind! During this amazing moment in time, He offered Himself as a sacrifice, thus giving us a visual of His love and the promise of immortality. This visual points us to and gives us confidence that one day we will walk with Him in paradise.

This promise unveils our Soul's purpose on earth and in heaven. Our soul inhabits our earthly body to embrace a life of learning.  We are to share its beauty and His love with others. Until that pivotal day that we all must face transitioning to another life. I do believe it is human nature to want to hold on to hope that the very essence of who we are will never perish.

The biggest questions are: Is there really a spiritual realm? And do we truly know where our journey might take us? Not knowing where you will be for eternity can be a daunting thought. However, there is a beautiful promise of eternity.

Our Heavenly Father gave us many tools to help us find our way. He gave us Jesus to illuminate our path and show us, by example, a travel guide called the Holy Spirit. He gave us a road map called the Holy Bible. And the beautiful news is, He even holds our hearts through the process...

If we embrace and use all the tools He has given us. It is not a scary journey.  It’s a beautiful gift of sharing eternal life with the most amazing Father, Son, and Holy Spirit we will ever have the privilege of knowing!!

We can only pray that when that pivotal day arrives, our family and friends will know without any doubt that we made it home.

Love without restraint. Celebrate LIFE. Be everything our Father knows we can be, and look to the beautiful promise of eternity.

“To them who by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:”

Romans 2:7 KJV

“But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:” 2 Timothy 1:10

Hidden

“A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.” Maya Angelou...

Meaning hidden, kept out of sight, concealed.

We located twenty-eight verses that direct us to the word hidden.

I woke up this morning at 4:39 a.m. It's in these early morning hours when our world seems so still, so void of the noises that seem to disturb the peace and beauty that consume our busy lives.

It has become my favorite time of day. It's where I can escape into the hidden world where Jesus awaits. He gently comes and stays a while. He soothes my soul. He brings peace to my very existence. I can share my most intimate thoughts with Him: my dreams, victories, failures, struggles, and fear of the darkness in this turbulent world.

It is where I can surrender my heart and soul and clear my mind...

He has become my favorite hiding place... He loves me past all the pain, heartache, and doubts.  And fills my life with His abundant love, His unexplainable peace, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

It is a difficult relationship to explain and a challenge to understand when measured by our worldly standards.

The hidden secret is,

He is not of this world... He is timeless. He is a powerful force of energy. He is all things to all people. He wows me!!! He blows my mind!!  He is my three in one, He is a humble, loving Father, King, and Savior who has been desperately searching for our love...

He stays hidden in the shadows unless we surrender our hearts...  His heart aches for us to return to His loving arms. And yet, so many of us cannot find the time to hide with Him.  They seem only to find the time when they are caught up in self, hurt, doubt, fear...  Why do we wait to find Him when we are desperate?

I have experienced a secret place where He awaits. There, I can feel His forgiveness, grace, amazing love, and everlasting peace. He is my hidden treasure and a gift from God. He yearns to be a part of ALL our lives. ALL the time.

He is not a God of convenience.

He is not my gift alone—He belongs to you, too. When we find Him, we must savor our time with Him, fill our hearts with His unexplainable love, and share Him with our world.

God only knows how much we need Him. His children are constantly praying for answers... And all this time, He has been right under our noses... But have we been too blind to, see??

It’s Him!! It’s always been Him.

He will always be my hidden treasure. No matter how often I share Him, His love is limitless and never-ending...

He has become as important as the very air I breathe... There is nothing in this world that can replace the valued treasure of knowing Him. Of spending time alone with Him. Of loving Him...

Just WOW... There is no one like Him ... I am blown away... by His Hidden Charm!!

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,”

(Matthew 6:21 ).

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy, over it, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Matthew 13:44

Elohim

'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

William Shakespeare...

The basic meaning behind the name Elohim is one of strength or power of effect. Elohim is the infinite, all-powerful God who shows by His works that He is the world's creator, sustainer, and supreme judge. “Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure—you, the righteous [Elohim] who probes minds and hearts.”

The word Elohim occurs more than 2,500 times in the Hebrew Bible and is translated to the name of God in the King James version.

The name Elohim has been a part of my journey almost from the beginning. But today, while speaking with a friend, I was enlightened even further. I can say I love God's mystery. He is like a beautiful puzzle that unravels my heart one beautiful layer at a time.

As many of you already know, I had a significant spiritual encounter a few years ago (May 2018). I have openly shared my heart and how music has significantly impacted my spiritual walk with God.

I would like to share the moment in time when the name Elohim came alive in my soul.

It was approximately two weeks after my spiritual encounter with the Holy Spirit that a song appeared on my phone, giving me pause.

Songs had started appearing, and the lyrics and melodies seemed to move my soul like never before. This started as my spiritual heart opened to a greater love, which I found difficult to understand.

The song that came that day was by an artist I had never heard of.  But the lyrics and the melodic sounds seem to speak to my soul.  The name of the song was LOVE is Alive by Elohim. This was not music I normally listened to... But at that moment in time, I felt so alive from His gift of love that I could feel it deep within my soul. This love seems so electrically charged that I wanted to share His love with anyone who would listen.

My curiosity got the best of me about this band and song, so when I got home that day, I found my computer and typed in these words: “The meaning of Elohim.” I became wide-eyed, gasped, moved away from my computer, and said, OMG, the word Elohim means God.

On that day, I started calling God Elohim. From that day, my journey began to unfold with each new day. It has been a few years, with many people, places, and things rushing by. And my love and understanding for Elohim grew. I had a silver ring carved with His name, “Elohim.” I never remove it from my finger. I wanted to be constantly reminded of His great love.

One of the many facts I share about my amazing journey is my location during my encounter. I was alone in my car on a lonely Triune, TN road. The location truly had no significance to me at that time ...

But as my story unfolded, I questioned why no one falls in love with the Holy Spirit. So, I Googled it. To my surprise, the article pointed out that another word for the Trinity is “TRIUNE,” which blew my mind.

So, if you have ever wondered why I say He WOWs me, you now know why. It’s His mystery, His Love, and how He has taught me about this amazing One we know as the great I AM.

But these God-wink moments did not end there. When speaking to a friend tonight, Elohim came up in our conversation. Elohim?

I already knew that the beautiful name Elohim meant God... But we went on to discover this...

“The noun Elohim is plural, but it is always used with a singular verb when it speaks of the true God. This indicates unity and diversity within the nature of God. This unity and diversity are revealed in Scripture as the doctrine of the “TRINITY. “

I can only say OMG, I am speechless.

Everything I see, touch, and now love points me to Him. It’s always Him ... my beautiful Elo"HIM"... How can I not stay in the state of WOW??

He blows my mind.

So, in my mind, I need to simplify this: I was in Triune, TN (Trinity, TN), when my encounter happened. With no prior religious knowledge, a song pointed me to a “Hebrew” word that resonated with my heart. I began to use the name Elohim to address God, which means Trinity.

How does this happen? It has been Elohim’s plan for me all along. He called, and my heart listened.

My life will never be the same!!!

See how very much our Father (My Elohim) loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 1John 3:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Focus

As the foundation of faith is being undermined and the walls of truth broken down, God calls all His children to refocus on the essentials. - Taj Pacleb...

Meaning of focus: the state or quality of having or producing a clear visual definition.

The word focus is in approximately fifty verses in the Bible.

When I began to focus on this word, a visual image came to mind...As a child, I would watch my mother take such precision, concentration, and care... As she tried to thread a needle to create a beautiful -embroidered piece of delicate art...

And then my thoughts drifted to this scripture: Mark 10:25: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom.

What does this mean?? Do we focus on money, cars, and things of this world?  Are these the riches He speaks of?

These items we treasure will be left behind. I can’t help but see this very small pathway to Heaven, and if we try to bring our collection of treasures, we will not fit. And as you scramble to drop the things and lighten your load... You will realize there is a better way... There is freedom!! There is love like nothing you have ever known...It is just waiting for you... “only you,” not your treasures, title, or “things,” just you and your beautiful, loving heart. It is so simplistic.

So pure... It's Him... It’s Him!  He is our treasure.

We should focus on Him because He is the greatest teacher of what is truly important in this thing we call life.

As we focus on Him, with such precision, concentration, and care... The eye of the needle will become crystal clear.

The question becomes, are you ready? What are you focused on??? Don’t be distracted; don’t see Him with blurred vision. Be hyper-focused on the one that will make you rich beyond this life!!

It’s Him; it’s always been Him!!

You call me Teacher and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. John 13:13

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life 1 Timothy 6:17

Precious moments

“Relationships never truly die. Though they may come to an end, their essence lives on, forever etched in the threads of our cherished memories.”  Mouloud Benzadi

On this dark, gloomy morning. I left my warm home to witness my grandchildren’s smiling faces before driving them to school… A privilege many grandparents are not blessed to experience… Or they do not realize that our children and grandchildren are our legacy. They will carry our memories into the future.

When I arrived, I woke them up one by one. They stumbled out of bed and prepared to forge into a new day….

The car ride was quiet; we could hear the wipers rhythmically wiping the raindrops from the windshield… As the older two arrived at their school, they gathered their belongings, and we shared a quick goodbye… I leave them with l love you, be safe… “Not too loud” Because they are at the age that peer pressure is a thing… LOL

I then am left with the youngest; as we travel, we listen to music… The song After Me by Matt Brock played softly in the background… I opened the window to feel the cool rain and breathe in the freshness of the new day… I watched the grey clouds dance by in the blistery skies above. I could see the car lights twinkle from oncoming traffic on the wet road ahead… Do we take these moments for granted, or do we thank our Heaven Father for making moments that speak to our souls possible…

We arrived and found our place in the carpool line. I looked at this beautiful angelic face as she smiled… She is facing TCAP testing today. I asked her if she wanted to pray about her test… She smiled and said yes. We bowed our heads, held hands, and said a few motivational, thankful words…Her smile said it all!!

I would not trade these precious moments! And I thank God for the privilege of sharing His love this morning…

Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Scared

Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends for you to be. You must move against it with the weapons of faith and love. – Rick Warren

Meaning of scared fearful; frightened.

The word scared is referred to approximately 32 times in the Bible. But 'Fear not,' is in the Bible 365 times,”

I fear that my opening my heart for the world to see will never be enough... But what do I have of value to repay Him for a love that is too rich to fully understand? I have nothing but my heart... So, I share it willingly in hopes that you see a glimpse of Him...  There is no need to be scared. However, I do remember as a child being afraid.

I was so afraid I lost the ability to speak... I was frozen and could not move...I was alone in my darkroom... I pulled the covers up to my eyes... And watched the creepy shadows dance across the walls. The walls seem to get closer and closer, and the shadows began to take on scary shapes... My heart began to pound and breathing became shallow. I tried to call out to my earthly Father, but I could not make a sound... I began to tremble.  But then I took a deep breath gathered all my courage and screamed his name.

”daddy!!!”

As always, He came to my rescue. He turned on the light... And tried to console me and he lovingly reassured me that he would always be close. He hugged me, and as I settled in his to his arms.. I felt safe and fell into a deep slumber...

As we grow... being scared is a well-guarded emotion. But I do believe everyone that has breath has moments in life they feel like a scared child... It could be a darkroom; it could be the uncertainties of life... It could be health or financial issues... or even death. Everyone can and will experience those dark scary moments ...

When we become adults, we outgrow the ability to pull the covers over our eyes and scream our parents name and they will take care of the issue for us.

We are taught to be strong. And so, we ask ourselves do I have to face my fears alone???

Alone can be a scary word... Can we just call out our Heavenly Father’s name?  Will He turn on the light and show us that with Him things in our world are not so scary..

He will hold and comfort us no matter the time, no matter the day... No matter the issue ... And if you feel the need to curl up in His arms and rest... He will hold you while you sleep...

It's Him! It's always Him!!!

He is the light that guides my heart!!! He is the whisper that comforts my soul! He is my rock in the darkest moments!!!

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall, I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.”

Psalm 55:22

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. “Deuteronomy 31:6
