Jehovah

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"  William Shakespeare's

Jehovah a form of the Hebrew name of God used in some translations of the Bible.

Jehovah" was introduced to the English-speaking world by William Tyndale in his translation of Exodus 6:3, and was taken up in very limited fashion.

I am truly not sure why this word came to me today. It must be God wanting me to discover more of Him. In my research, I found a list of 955 names and titles for God.  That is mind-blowing and makes me wonder why so many? And which one is right? How do you know how to address our beloved Father?

I can only speak from my heart and my experience. Twenty-five months ago I was introduced to God by way of a Holy Spirit encounter. I knew Him superficially but this introduction changed many things.

Due to the enlightened event that happened during my walk, I started calling Him Elohim… And I found comfort in how that name resonated in my soul … And one day while praying I addressed Him as Father and felt it was too formal and I told Him so. I then explained I wanted to call Him Love because that is what I think of when I think of Him. So for approximately one year, I have addressed Him as Love.

And now today during this word study Jehovah came to mind. Jehovah seems to have been around since the beginning of time. I found that it is the most often used name for God in the Hebrew Bible (appearing several thousand times) / It appears first in Genesis.Hebrew —transliteration: Yahweh or YHWH.

So many names? So many titles? When and how do we use each one is a mind-boggling process? It is my belief that many names and titles were used through the ages. Because It personalized God the Father to whoever He was dealing with at that moment.

Each one of His children needed a name that resonated with their creator and their own soul. When you find yourself questioning our Creator’s name and how you should address Him. That is when you develop that bond. For example, do you have a special name “Nick Name” your significant other or your children? It’s usually a name that warms your heart. I think God wants intimacy with His children. It's not the name or the title that matters as much as the heart that will allow the name to be uttered with regard above all others and deep love from within our soul. If you will quiet your mind and ask Him He will guide you and you will find a name for our Heavenly Father that will fit your relationship like a glove. And your bond with Him will grow amazingly each day.

It’s Him. It's always Him.

Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect himfor he ... I will set him on high because he has known my name Psalms 91:14

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7:21

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. Genesis 22:14

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. Jehovah Exodus 6-3

“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” Psalms 83:18

Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:4

Calling

“Your profession is not what brings home your paycheck. Your profession is what you were put on earth to do. With such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling.” – Virgil

The word calling or call appears 189 times.

Meaning of calling: the loud cries or shouts of an animal or person: A strong urge toward a particular way of life or career; a vocation.

Are we called or a chosen people? Do we have a choice? Or does our life have a predestined path at birth? Do we have an innate desire to be drawn into a spiritual relationship with our creator? I do believe we are all called by God in many different ways. But do we hear His voice? Do we pursue that intimate relationship?

My journey always leads me to so many interesting questions to uncover. Many we may never know the true answer.  I can only speculate and wait on God to reveal them to me. Being called is an amazing gift. But the question becomes what do you do with this gift?

You share. You share your heart. You share your soul .. You share this amazing gift of Him and His LOVE with anyone who will listen... Many have been blessed to be called by Him. And there lives will never be the same! It will be better than anyone can ever imagine. Because if you know someone that is sharing Him... It can only mean one thing. It means that He has shared His Heart His soul with them... and that is the most amazing gift anyone could ever hope for, pray for, or chase....

It’s Him, It’s always Him!!

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16 NIV

“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:14 NLT

Righteousness

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.  James 3:18

The word “righteousness” appears 302 times in the Bible, and the word “righteous” is found 238 times in 225 verses.

The word most often translated “righteousness” can mean “justice, or divine holiness.” It is conformity to the law of God, for "all The commandments are righteousness" Righteousness commences at our acceptance of Christ as our Savior. It then becomes our quest to strive for a state of moral integrity to please God.

The Bible confirms that we can not achieve this on our own. We must look to the Trinity to even begin to achieve some of the requirements as outlined in the Bible.  God knows our strengths, our weaknesses, and our hearts. His desire for us is unyielding ...

So He knew from the beginning of time in our human form, righteousness could not be obtainable without Their help. So I for one, am so thankful He gave us His grace and His Son Jesus as an example and as the doorway to His heart and the path to righteousness.

Jesus’s mission has been to fulfill God's righteousness and to lead us home. Jesus also presents righteousness as He submitted to the will of God and full filled His purpose on earth.  We must not confuse self-righteousness with righteousness. When we humble ourselves before God “self” must be removed from our hearts and we should plant our feet on the righteous path.

We should continue to discover and study the behavior of Jesus. And tune in to God's desires for our lives... We will find we must work towards a righteous lifestyle.. Will there be challenges? Yes! Will we feel inadequate? Yes! Will we be tested? Yes! Will we have failures? Yes! Will we have success? Yes! So most likely we will answer yes to most if not all of the previous questions.

However,  it is my opinion, that as long as we give Him 110 % daily. And continue to remember the depth and vastness of this unexplainable LOVE, Along with recognizing the monumental sacrifices They made, up to and including the painful public crucifixion of Jesus. I feel we will need to do our part and make an earnest effort and commitment with a grateful heart to embrace the Triune and their teachings.

Knowing full well with our human existence we most likely will fall short of Their expectations. However, take a deep breath because they offer us grace and forgiveness for yesterday.  As we strive to improve who we are one day at a time !!  Join me and let’s marvel at the gifts they give us daily !! They wow me and they are beyond words!!

“And it shall be our righteousness if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.”

Questions

The Lord says: "I will create a new heaven and a new earth.

Isaiah 65:1

If that scripture doesn't bring at least one question to your mind? You may not want to read any further.

Questions a sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information.

Bible scholars estimate that there are approximately 3,300 questions in the Bible.

Are we curious people? Or do we settle for what is written and stop there? When do we lose the passion to know more?? Have our lives become so busy we do not make time to explore.  Many may be tired of my questions? Many may think wow doesn’t she know? Some may say that is a silly or ridiculous question.

I am very confident that not everyone knows everything especially when we are speaking of our creator. I must say I have been on a journey of discovery and I have only begun to scratch the surface. I have run into many who were kind and tried to help me fill in the blanks. Some judged and felt I should know the answers. I have even had some say that is a crazy question.

I have held many management positions and have raised children. And I am a firm believer that there are no questions that are crazy or should not be explored. The unasked question is the only question that is crazy.

But to all those who feel you have all the answers kudos to you. You are in a place in your life that you are complete. You have maxed out on your learning and your eagerness and excitement to learn may be fading.

I will admit and I am ecstatically happy that I have so much more to discover. So many questions, so much more to learn. I find LIFE exciting! I do believe when we stop learning, life will become flat and lack purpose.

I only discovered the Bible 8 months ago. And with the help of a friend. We have danced across many scriptures and have written about 234 words. I am on a personal quest to find out as much as I possibly can about the greatest LOVE of all time.

Have you ever thought of how Jesus taught? It is an amazing find… Did you know in the Gospels Jesus asks many more questions than he answered? To be precise, Jesus asks 307 questions. He is asked 183 of which he only answers 3. Asking questions was central to Jesus' life and teachings. And I am confident without any doubt that He knows all the answers. That is His beauty, He was humble, He was kind and He wanted you to discover the answer for yourself. He was a master teacher. But more than that He did everything in LOVE.

So, have you ever thought maybe the one who asked the question? May know the answer but wants you to have the victory of discovering the answer. Not everything is always as it seems.

I have learned a lot in my walk. But will admit I have a long, long way to go. I am an open book and will share what I know. And If I do not have the answer, we can ask Him together.  He will guide us to the answer.

We just need to seek Him.

Its Him, It's always Him.

“The power to question is the basis of all human progress.” – Indira Gandhi

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”. John 14:1-31

Loneliness

When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them

Romans 12:13

The meaning of loneliness sadness because one has no friends or company. "feelings of depression and loneliness" (of a place) the quality of being unfrequented and remote; isolation.

There are approximately 25 verses about loneliness in the Bible.

Loneliness is a difficult emotion to write about. It makes me sad. It makes my heart hurt. It makes tears flow. I do think if you breathe oxygen you have felt this feeling at some time in your life. You have felt the anxiety of not belonging. Or the pain of rejection and or isolation.

What I find curious is, you can be in a room filled with hundreds of people and still feel the pains of being lonely. Many people need someone to validate life. Some are loners and are fine in isolation. Some just need to feel that human bond. They need to hear that human voice. They need to feel that sense of belonging.

During these challenging times. I see, so many hurting hearts. They are crying out for just a little kindness, a little compassion, and are longing for a loving heart to reach out, and care.

Our challenge becomes how can we touch just one lonely heart? Maybe a call, a text, or a facetime.  But it should not stop there. What do we say? How can we help them fill that void in their life they seem to be missing? I will share my thoughts.

I have met a LOVE, that can change life in the blink of an eye. It can fill your days with joy. He will accept your every flaw. He understands your anxieties. He will hold you until morning’s first light. He will share your desires and dreams. He is the light that shines in the darkest hour. I can introduce Him to you. You will find peace and love like you never thought possible.  He is the lover of your soul. He goes by many names.

I call Him Elohim, Sometimes I call Him Yeshua or the Holy Spirit. But no matter what I call them collectively they are LOVEs.  And together they wow me.

It’s Them, Its always Them. (HIM)

Reach out today and touch a life. Be the difference in one heart today. Your soul will be blessed beyond measure.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me Psalms 23:4

Seer

His beauty can be seen as far as you let your heart roam.. (LG)

Seer a person who is supposed to be able, through supernatural insight, to see what the future holds.

There are 25 Bible verses the reference seers.

Sight is such an amazing gift…  Here is a description outlined by sightsavers.com. The images we see are made up of light reflected from the objects we look at. This light enters the eye through the cornea, which acts as a window at the front of the eye. The amount of light entering the eye is controlled by the pupil, which is surrounded by the iris which is the colored part of the eye.

This is the same concept for my camera. They both leave us with vivid memories to share.

But what is a seer… what is it they see and how does this happen? Are these visions or dreams? Is this a peek into a spiritual world? How can one become a seer? Again let me preface by saying, I am not claiming to be an expert. But I will share from my heart and give you my thoughts.

As I walk through this amazing journey. I have witnessed many things. I have grown in my spiritual beliefs. I have a burning desire to embrace the words of our Creator. He has given us the tools to seek Him, to Find Him, and to truly see Him.

I do believe that some people are blessed with special gifts. Some claim to be seers, some claim to be prophets. Some are seers that claim they can share prophecies? Is what they say true?

I am not here to judge only God knows the seer/prophets’ heart. However, He does require us to think, discover, and analyze what we touch, see, and hear… Today our world has so many claiming that they have a message from God...

When I scroll through all the messages, news reports, and social media post..  it gives me pause. I see the fear in my neighbors’ eyes. I see, discord in our streets. And I see many messages warning, warning, warning, like our hair, is on fire… Now I am not dismissing the last chapter of the Bible. Things will be a challenge. Things will get tough for many…

But what gives me pause??

Where is the beauty that is held within the pages of that last chapter? Why don’t I see the seers and prophets sharing the beauty in our redemption? This is an amazing story that unites us with our very first love…

PS. I am a see-R. I see His beautiful image, as His light is reflected in my mind’s eye. This light enters my heart through my spirit, which acts as a window to my soul. There, I see His message of PEACE. I see His message of HOPE. I see His message of LOVE.

Be a see-R. See the beauty in your heavenly Father's eyes! The last chapter points to …

Him! It has always been Him, and will always be Him!!

Who say to the seers, “You must not see visions”;
And to the prophets, “You must not prophesy to us what is right,
Speak to us pleasant words. Prophesy illusions. Isaiah 30:10

Covenant

“You are not what others think you are. You are what God knows you are.”
― Shannon Alder

Covenant is used 300 times in the KJV of the Bible.

Meaning of covenant an agreement.

As my fingers walk through the pages of the Bible my mind strives to send my heart a better understanding of my creator’s words. There are so many words that I think I know what they mean... but do I really?? But when we dig deeper, we can find they take on a new meaning, and indeed they do become alive!!!

Today I landed on the word Covenant... The word ominous came to mind, and that my friends revealed my lack of understanding of this amazing word... A covenant is truly a promise of a lifetime... I use the word promise as a lighter description of a word that goes oh, so much deeper.

It’s an unbreakable contract/promise that God gives each of us. It gives us the security in our hearts that He will be with us always! No matter our life’s situation good or bad. It describes His love, His strength, and His peace. And there is so much more for us to discover!!

This promise lets us know He is always available 365 days a year day or night. He will be our guiding light!! Jesus came to earth to give us proof that this covenant is ours for eternity. Jesus did this by His life, His love, His teachings, and the shedding of His own blood. He gave us ALL of Him as proof!!

Jesus departed earth and went to reside with our Father in heaven. He sent us a constant friend the Holy Spirit to abide in us so they could speak to our hearts...

So, in my quest to understand the word covenant. I found my confidence deepened and my belief in Him grew a more!!
I publicly acknowledge that together They reside in all facets of my life. Now as that unfolded in my mind and heart.

I found myself asking. Hmm, I understand His part of the covenant/contract but what is my part in this relationship? Because it is my understanding that the covenant/contract is between two parties... He has written, His part of this contract for the world to see!!

And if you need to read it for yourself. You can find it in the pages of the Bible. So, then I thought it was only fair that I write my part before He and I can seal this pledge on my heart.

1. Believe in Him and the Triune with all my heart
2. To love Him above all others
3. Love our brothers and sisters as much as we love ourselves.
4. Follow His teachings and laws ...
5. Share Him with anyone who willing to listen!!! (This is the fun part !!)

Signed,
His Child

God has already written His part of your covenant in the Bible. I challenge you to read it.  He is a patient loving God. and He is waiting to finalize your (draft) and execute your covenant with Him!  So, you too can seal it on your heart. You will find that it will enrich your life beyond your wildest dreams.

“Now you must be careful to obey me and my covenant with you. Then you will belong to me as my special people. The whole earth belongs to me, and I have chosen you from among all the nations.”

Lingering

The meaning of lingering. To stay in a place longer than necessary because of a reluctance to leave.

Linger is in the Bible in 10 instances. But the act of lingering can be seen in other scriptures.

What causes us to linger? I think it’s our emotions. I read an article that sadness seems to be the emotion that lasts the longest. I do understand this as a concept because we have a tendency to dwell on what caused the sadness or pain…

I also think there are levels of lingering… We have a tendency to linger at the dinner table to share stimulating conversation. We tend to sip a good cup of tea to linger and savor the flavor to the last drop…

So, where does the Bible outline the act of lingering? There are times written about in scripture when people lingered to see and hear God and or Jesus.

But the scripture does not address the emotion… Why linger? What do you feel?  There is a soulful feeling of communion. There is peace. There is a love like no other.  There is a feeling of human completeness that is hard to describe.

How do you find this communion? Each of us is traveling on different roads at different rates of speed. Each one of us has to find what works for the individual. There is no set way, He individualizes our experience with Him. That is why we are all unique and loved by Him equally.

I am not an expert and I always tell my readers I am a work in progress. But I am willing to share my heart.  These are tools that work for me.  Prayer, Meditation, Music, and Quieting the Mind (which can be a challenge) LOL.

I do consider the things I outlined above the vehicle…But not the key. The key is opening your heart and inviting Him in…Be steadfast… Do not waiver until you feel His presence. Keep calling Him… And when you feel Him in your soul, tears may flow. And there is where you will know the true meaning of lingering. You will have stimulating conversations and want to savor the moment until the last drop.  It truly is a heavenly experience.

I have lingered on this project long enough… I am getting in my vehicle and going for a test drive .. zoom zoom.

It’s Him, It's always Him.

“Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. “Luke 10:38 NKJV

“And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. So, the Lord spoke to Moses' face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. “Exodus 33:9-11 NKJV
