Restore by JoAnn Turnbull

“The work of restoration cannot begin until a problem is fully faced.” Dan Allender..

The word restore is used 136 times in the Bible.

It means to repair, renew or bring back that which has been lost.

As we go through life, we have to restore things quite often.  Such as restoring a wooden porch that has been out in the weather for years. The boards have begun to rot and mold. Or we might need to restore a friendship that has been neglected for years. The most fun might be to restore a wardrobe that has clothes from the ’90s.

All of these things we can do ourselves. But there is one thing WE cannot restore.  It is an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.  Sometimes we do not realize that this relationship needs to be restored.  We have traveled our journey of life for years without Him.  We have made our own plans and left Him out.

There may have periods in our life when we hear something about Him and we might really try to get a hold of what we hear and we will be enthusiastic about Him for a time, but we will soon go back to our ways. We may even go to Church on Sunday and Wednesday, but it is from habit and looking good in the eyes of others.

How do we restore the relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

How much do we desire His presence?

How do we return to the excitement and joy we once may have had. It can happen when we hear a song that really speaks to our hearts.  It may be a word we read or hear.  Or it may be a story someone tells us that ignites the spark in you to seek Him with all your heart.  This will be the start of the pursuit of Him. We will not be disappointed.  He will restore our soul to all the joy and love He has.

He will gently take our hand and walk with us as He restores us with a delight in Him that increases every day.  He is that Treasure we have longed for.  He indeed is the restorer of our souls.  Hold tight to Him and with an overwhelming heart give Him all your love and praise.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. Joel 2:25

Passport

The Bible is our passport. Jesus is our pilot.Heaven is our destination...

Meaning of passport an official document issued by a government, certifying the holder's identity and citizenship and entitling them to travel under its protection to and from foreign countries

The word Passport does not appear in the Bible but perhaps the idea may. Let's see what we can discover

When I see the word passport I immediately think travel. Where are we going? Maybe that much-needed Vacation? Perhaps a quick business trip? Or maybe to visit family, friends or just maybe to explore an exciting destination?

These are trying times we are living in. They have made traveling quite a challenge!! As I embark on air travel, for the first time since the pandemic.  I found many changes that give many of us pause... including me.

I arrived at the airport one hour before my flight time as suggested.. traveling light with only one bag and a backpack. At the curbside, I prepared my gear. Electronic boarding pass (much like a passport for domestic travel.) check! Face Mask check, face shield, check hand sanitizer check ... All clear so then I made my way to the electric door and as they opened I stood there for a minute and made sure I brought the most important element... I invited my team God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to stay with me...

Now armed with everything I step into the terminal ... It was a surreal moment it seems like there were hundreds of busy people. No names, they were not even traveling to the same destination. I could only see a sea of eyes and multi-colored face mask... we scurried along and most all blindly followed...

We made it through ID check. We made it through bomb-sniffing dogs.. and then security.

Hmm, what has our Father's world come to? It is a sad reality.  And I would not be surprised if He is greatly disappointed.

As I glanced down at my phone I realized my plane has started to board.. so I began to sprint through the terminal..  with baggage in tow.

I made it just in time.. only to find they changed the gate...

I advised the attendant to let them know I was on my way. I turned and with deliberate forward motion, I again made my way to the new gate...

I was the last one to Board...

I made it!! Phew!

I found my seat .. settled in as the announcements began to fill the air. I turned on my music the song was titled Yeshua! It’s a beautiful song that speaks to my soul. I began to relax as I caught my breath. I bowed my head thanked my spiritual team! All of them one by one.

The plane prepared for take-off and we were airborne. As I floated in the heavens I began to wonder how does this experience and the word passport relate to the Bible?

I do believe we are all on a spiritual journey home. We are all just taking different modes of travel, at different rates of speed. Hopefully with the same destination in mind... A place my Savior calls Paradise...

The question becomes are we prepared? Do we gather all the equipment we need to embrace that life journey for eternity?  Do we close our lips behind the mask we wear and truly listen to the whispers of our team as they try to guide us to our chosen destination? Do we run from the gate of darkness and find our way to the light ??

Do we equip ourselves to be confident that we will make it or will we be that last one that just made it by the grace of God? Or will we be left on the tarmac waving goodbye?

And as I closed my eyes the song continued to lull me into a state of peace and complete surrender as I drifted to sleep. I Could hear the faint whispers as the music continued to play... Yeshua, Yeshua

It’s Him, it’s always been Him.

He is our passport to paradise ..  (He is my 3n1)

Revelation 21:27, NASB: "shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life."

“He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

Deep

God didn’t need us. But he wanted us. And that is the most amazing thing.  Rick Warren

Meaning of deep extending far down from the top or surface.” a deep gorge’. Very intense or extreme.

There is 63 passage that ref to deep in the KJV of the Bible.

Deep can be attached to many words, Deepwater? Deep meaning scripture? deep hate? There are so many words. But I will set my mind aside and speak from the heart of a deep love that I have grown to cherish. It’s a love so deep, so beautiful, so amazing. It is difficult to put it into words? It can take you from 0 to 60 in just seconds. It can open your soul to see the wonders in each moment of every day…It can leave you breathless…

Many will look from a distance and not understand this amazing gift of deep love. It flows like a river… It brushes softly against your skin like a warm summer breeze. It is forgiving, kind, and will hold you while you sleep.  It will wake you with the warmth of the first-morning light as it breaks the darkened sky… It's as soft as a delicate rose petal. And as sweet as a newborn baby's cry.

Many have been blessed to experience this deep love… Many are searching so hard to find this love in worldly things… They can never find rest. Because they have not learned that only this deep love can satisfy their soul.

Who is this that has the amazing gift ??  I do…

But you do too you just need to unwrap this amazing gift. Let’s unwrap it together. I get so excited when I can be at your unwrapping party… The package is beautiful like nothing you have ever seen. It has an iridescent glow… It's filled with wonder. It is filled with indescribable love. It's the most indescribable gift you can ever receive. It will give you joy for eternity.

Ready take the golden ribbon in your hand and on the count of 3… Take a deep breath and slowly and deliberately pull the ribbon…. Your eyes will widen, and you feel this love engulf your soul. Your heart will sing a new song… and as you open your heart you will squeal with delight…

It's Him, It's always HIM…

Now that you have received this amazing gift… it will be your heart's desire to cherish Him and return this love… and to your surprise, it will grow deeper with each passing day. He wow’s me ….

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.” 1 John 3:1

“My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of your love. ........ All through the day, Yahweh has commanded his endless love to pour over me. Through the night I sing his songs and my praises to the living God.”

Psalms 42:7-8 TPT

Blank

With
God All Things Are Possible. He sees the endless possibilities. (LG)

The meaning of blank is:  Without color; lacking characteristics which give variety. Blank (Adjective) Free from writing, printing, or marks; having an empty space to be filled in; as, blank paper;

I could not find this word in the Bible. But my eyes were fixed on the blanks between the words and verses... and scriptures. It is clean no marks, but they also were void of substance? Void of love, void of the beautiful message of Him...

Have you ever had to write a paper and found yourself staring at the blank page? Struggling to bring the words from your heart to life.

I am so thankful that my heavenly Father does not struggle. He sees each blank page as a beautiful masterpiece and an opportunity to write the story of life and love across our hearts. He lovingly takes our heart in His gentle hands... And begins to inscribe and craft the most amazing love transformation we could ever experience.

He leads our spirit through the most amazing journey on earth. As we begin to hear His voice and follow in His steps. The once blank pages seem to surprisingly begin to take on new life.  With each word, a beautiful song of love begins to unfurl. He masterfully leads us where we find a freed heart.  And with Him at our side, each page becomes a symphony, each verse a new song. Each word points us to a  love that speaks to our soul.

Before He came into my life my soul was a blank page. I was void in the knowledge of His amazing love. A void that cuts deep into my soul.  I can say that now because I realize what it was that was missing.

But for some reason, He decided it was time to shake things up a bit and He awoke my soul.  My life will never be the same. He meets me at every turn. I may be the blank page before Him. But I have given Him the pen and will trust Him with my life. Because only He can write such a beautiful love story. He is a master of creating something exciting, unique, and special from nothing... He is the author of my life and shares a love that guides my heart.

It's Him, Oh Boy,  it is forever Him.

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].”

Psalms 139:16 AMP

Way

And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.- Jesus Christ

Meaning of way: method, style, or manner of doing something: "there are two ways of approaching this problem"a road, track, path, or street for traveling along:

There are approximately 100 Bible Verses about God Making A Way Out Of Nowhere.

Do we ever feel boxed in a corner? Can we escape the madness of our world?  Or better yet can we find that eye of the needle? Or the narrow gate? Both of these are referenced in the Bible.

I do ponder these thoughts? Must we go on a diet? Do we need to get fit? What do they truly mean?

I have found that this book we call the Bible is such a book of riddles with a love language all its own... It’s mystery can be discovered. But one must fall in love with the romance hidden with each word, each chapter, and verse.  It takes time to decipher the language and find the hidden meaning that speaks to our hearts and souls.

I do believe finding the "way" starts with a curious mind and a thirsty soul. What are we missing in this life? How did we come into existence? Is there a greater power? Is there more?

I do believe like any journey we embark upon we must do things to ready ourselves for this great adventure. We must study the location? Perhaps the climate, maybe the language? who or what is the ultimate reason for scheduling this trip?? Do we get in shape so we can keep up with others on the tour?

Hmm sounds silly to compare Jesus to a destination, adventure, or even a trip? Maybe?  But what are we doing to ready ourselves? I don’t know about you but discovering things daily about Him has been the most amazing adventure of my life. The climate of His heart offers me warmth in the coldness and harshness of our world.. His language and words speak a love song to our hearts. I personally love hearing His voice it soothes my soul. He speaks of grace, He speaks of forgiveness, He speaks of refinement...

Sometimes refinement can be a painful experience. But look what happens to a piece of coal. Coal is formed near the surface of the earth where the heat and pressure are far less severe. Diamonds require temperatures of about 2200 degrees Fahrenheit, and pressure of about 725,000 pounds per square inch.  Ouch...

Are we like the coal, stagnant living a life in darkness without luster or are we like a beautiful diamond .. a gem, a rare beauty with amazing brilliance and value...

We must dive deeper into ourselves and into a personal relationship with our Spiritual Guide.  Only He knows the way to our true destination. Only He knows how to teach us this heavenly language that teaches us of this indescribable love!  He is our spiritual compass to a beautiful destination.

Indulge me a moment and imagine a cave, a catacomb-like structure.. and few are following a guide. Much like a character we are familiar with “Indiana Jones” He is holding one single candle that is illuminating a warm glow in the darkness. He is a confident guide and He is peacefully guiding us through an amazing journey.  It can be scary but it can be such an exciting time of adventure.

But the question becomes, do we follow His Light? Or stay covered in darkness? Do we stay close because of fear of the unknown? Or do we decide to go our own way through the darkness? Or do we follow Him because we have felt and seen what His light brings to our lives?

Have we placed our confidence and faith in Him? He is the only “Way” He is illuminating our paths ... He is waiting .... He is the greatest adventure we can ever encounter. He is the greatest love story to discover.  He is the "WAY".

It’s Him, it’s always Him

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14.6

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.1. Matthew 7:13-14

"I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."Matthew19:23-24

Grateful Heart - Reflection

“Gratitude is not in the words but in the heart which expresses it.” ― Luffina Lourduraj

I am beyond grateful to my Heavenly Father, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit for their gift of LOVE. I am thankful to the ones who came to the party and stayed. You know who you are... I love you more than you know for your support. And for the ones that could only watch from afar... You have no idea what you are missing... But there is still time...  My contact number has not changed and I openly share my experience and heart.

I wrote this at the end of 2018 and found it today. Do we take the time to reflect on days gone by with a grateful heart? When things happen in our lives that make such a dramatic change in who we are... It does leave us forever changed. This was only the beginning of my journey. I have been taught, that our journey will never truly end... Each moment we are blessed to live is an adventure and a beautiful gift from our Creator...Live it! Love it!
