Breakfast with Him

The most important meal of the day...

Not just any breakfast.  It was the third time He had appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. They had gone back to fishing when suddenly they heard someone calling them from the shore.  Who was calling?

They did not expect to see Him that morning.

John said, “It is the Lord”!

John loved Him and recognized Him before the others did.  Do we know Him when He comes to eat and share with us?  He has much to tell us.

He came that morning to them all, but especially to one disciple.
His conversation with Peter is one that has been recorded for all of us to read.  It is a touching moment.

The night before His death on the cross Peter had denied that he had ever known Him.  But this day he was the first to run to Him.  It was Peter’s time to shed the guilt he had carried for days.

We have all denied Him at some time during our walk with Him.  He is ready to forgive us and ask us where do we stand in our relationship with Him today.

His questions to us are the same ones he asked Peter.  Do you love me just as a friend? Or do you burn with love for me more than anything?

That is what He is asking us.  Is our love for Him passionate?   Is that love for Him like a fire within us?  Do we feel His love burning in our hearts?

If not.  Seek Him with all your heart.  Let Him search your heart.  May your relationship with Him be one that burns with a deep passion.

When you do He will call you to do those things He planned for you.  You will stand free from guilt as you love Him with all your heart, soul, and might.

Rejoice in the One who loves you.
Meet Him for breakfast!

Comfort

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." ... Psalm 23:4.

Meaning of comfort: a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint.

We located 50 verses that speak to the words comfort and peace.

The word comfort does not roll off the tongue with a softness that you would expect of a word that holds so much feeling…  When I think of this word I slip away into my childhood days… I had many bouts in the hospital with what was known as croup… I can remember my parents were there. They helped me feel safe and secure… and as I traveled in this life they have never waiver. They have always been that shoulder I can cry on, that heart that understands, and that hand that I can hold at the end of a trying day…

I  have been blessed to have experienced this in my earthly life. And now when I look at my Heavenly Father, I can relate to His comfort on a much higher level … We can find comfort with people in our lives… But life is fleeting… The comfort our Father gives is a peaceful slumber of the heart… He gives us hope through His amazing Son Jesus … and then we have one of the greatest comforters of all times the Spirit who dwells within … He is our unsung hero. Now you ask me how He can be better than God or His Son Jesus. If I have not shared this with you, let me start by saying it’s Him. He is the most remarkable 3 in one soul I have ever grown to know… He is my comforter, He is my guide, He is my Savior.. and He loved me first … and I am committed to loving Him with all my heart and soul…

I yearn to one day hear well done my child well done.

And at that moment, I will know that He found comfort in me…

He is my great I Am!

It’s Him, It will always be Him!

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Chicken or Eagle by Joann Turnbull

“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love put into them that matters.”  Mother Teresa

I have been in the midst of studying the chapters in Genesis about Noah and the Ark.

God saw that the wickedness of man was great, and He was sorry He had made man. It grieved Him at His heart.  God said I will destroy  man I have created.  Every man, animal, and fowls of the air.

As He thought this He remembered Noah.  Noah had found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and he walked with God.  So God asked Noah to build an ark.  One big enough to hold Noah and his family.  Eight people.  And two of every living thing.  The ark would have been 500 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 50 feet high.

God was going to flood the whole earth, every man and animal would drown from the flood except those in the ark.  What a request for Noah to accomplish.  So Noah did it.  It took 100 years to build it.  It had never rained before and the people mocked him as he told them to change their ways.

What does this have to do with the title of this writing????   As I was studying Noah I read Isaiah 40:31.  “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles....”. Eagles can soar to great heights.  Chickens have the wing span and strength to fly a great distance but they do not. They only fly a short distance when in danger, and then go back to pecking in the same place all day.
Are we up to the challenge of soaring like an Eagle trusting God as we go, or like a chicken only flies when in danger?
Would you be willing to answer God’s request to do something that seems difficult?  Or believe a truth in the Bible you have read over many times but did not even comprehend?

Let’s be like an eagle and believe in the might, love, and power of our God.

Luke 10:27  “Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

Gave

How many there are … who imagine that because Jesus paid it all, they need pay nothing, forgetting that the prime object of their salvation was that they should follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ in bringing back a lost world to God. - Lottie Moon

Meaning of the word gave: freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to.

We located 44 verses that refer to the word gave…

In my life, I have been blessed with many gifts… the gift of life, the gift of love, and the gift of fabulous family and friends…

But one day, I was given a precious gift that changed my life. It gently changed who I was to become… A Child of God.

God gave me the gift of Himself. 😍

He came soft as a summer breeze…He spoke to my soul, and I was captivated by His voice. He called Himself the Holy Spirit…. I had heard of this name… But I never took the time to know Him… However, that has changed… I talk to Him every day. I share my thoughts my prayers and my heart… He is such a fantastic listener…

But God didn’t stop there, He wowed me by giving me the gift of His Son. Many know the Son of God as Jesus… I call Him Yeshua. I must confess He has been intimate with my heart… He knows me better than I know myself. He has taught me many things, But I especially am taken in by the teachings of His heavenly love… It’s a love that goes beyond what this old world could even begin to know… He takes my breath away….

When I think of my three in one… My mind surrenders and I willingly give Him my heart and soul… I do not know where He is leading this life that He has held so dear for so long…. But I know I must follow Him… even into the unknown…

And to think … I never knew Him… but somewhere during this journey, I fell in love with the one who loved me first…

It’s Him, It will always be Him.

He completes me… I am His work in progress…

And yes, He is my Elohim…

My 3 in one… My purpose for life.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Wishing you an evening filled with His abundant love..

God Bless

Knocking by Joann Turnbull

Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. Luke 12:36

We might ask who is that knocking at my door?  For several weeks the word knocking has been on my mind. When someone comes to your door they will knock.

Today many of us hear a knocking on the door to our hearts and soul.  It is Jesus.  He may have been knocking a long time on the door of your heart, but you have ignored Him.

Our Creator and the One who loves us so, you may have been ignoring Him.  Sometimes we will open the door if there is something we need from Him.  But we do not welcome Him in to stay. He wants to move in and sit at the table and eat with you.  As you share a meal He has much to tell you.  He doesn’t want just one meal with you, but He wants to share your home with Him.

You came to this place in your life because He has loved you before you were born.  He has so much to tell you.  He wants to share the moments of each day with you.  He will be the closest friend you ever had.  He will not bail out on you when things get hard to bear.  He will comfort you and hold you in His arms until the trouble passes.

Open the door wide and give Him access to every room in your house.  As you do you will begin to love Him with your whole heart, soul, and might.

He says, “I stand at the door and knock:  IF any man hears my voice, and opens the door,

I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me.”  Revelation 3:20

This verse was written to the seven Churches. Maybe you made a decision long ago to accept His grace for your sins.  But you are lukewarm in your relationship with Him now.

What joy and love await those who open the door wide to Him.  You will fall in love with Him.  He delights to be with you 24/7.

Heartfelt - Unpredictable difficult times

He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone, who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them, and blessed them Luke 18:16

Sharing a piece of my heart today. We are living in such unpredictable difficult times. My thoughts and prayers are with the Children and Families of Robb Elementary School.

The most precious gift God gives us … is life… such a sad day when a beautiful life is swiftly pulled away…

As a believer… we are asked why God allows things to happen to the innocent… I wish I had the answers? I don’t … I can only seek His face… rest in His thoughts of Him and have faith in His plan…

His love will see us through our pain, as we heal…

If we all become centered in His love… perhaps we can change our world one heart at a time…

Mark 12:29

I would like to share a song. As music speaks to my soul.

I have no connection to the music or artist.. only that I listened to this piece as I drew His face.

Picture

A single encounter with Jesus Christ can transform your life in an instant and forever

The meaning of a picture is a painting or drawing.

Have you ever wondered what Our Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit really look like?  There are many images that have been drawn over the centuries… But which one is right ???

As many of you know 3 months ago I wanted to hire an artist to draw an image I pictured in my mind. So I forged on to the internet to locate the right person. And to my surprise, the one I identified as a possible fit… seems to be deceased…

Disappointed I began to wonder if I could capture this image before the image faded in my mind…

I ordered an artist drawing pad and a pencil art set… And I began to explore the artist within…

As we grow up we seem to lose touch with our imagination and artistic child-like spirit…

But the good news is our Heavenly Father has a way of bringing out the beauty of life and He helps us dispose of the strongholds we endure in this world. He beautifully frees our souls. And helps His children reach for more !!!

I started this drawing adventure on February 4, 2022. Before this time I drew very little.. sometimes not at all…

The strange thing is that I have a desire to mainly draw His beautiful face… But that seems to be more of a challenge than I realized…

So I began by looking at other artists' renditions that have been passed down through the ages. Even movies. We have scholars who have attempted to describe and or capture His image in an artistic way. But the dilemma is which one is correct??

I do believe there is no right answer… “We know the Bible says “ make man in our image..

Gen. 1 Verses 26 to 31

In 2020 is recorded that there will be 7.753 billion people..

Wow, so many choices … Eyes, Skin, and Hair the choices are infinite…Is there one person that looks exactly like Him? But which one… Many seem to envision the Actor that played His role so vividly. That is the image that pops into their minds.  … An Actor?

I do believe that we all carry a vision in our minds of what we think our Creator looks like…

He is the most beautiful amazing wonderful soul we will ever know… And just for the record …He is indescribable…

But many of His children have tried to capture His essence in an artistic manner. I say we must not rely on the vision of others. We must let our soul tune in to His voice.  And allow our heart and hands to create what the soul feels…

Do you remember when our children and grandchildren were asked to draw their family many drew stick figures ??? And as a parent, our hearts were filled with love that these little souls loved us enough to draw us !!! We shared a love-bonding moment.

I think God is much the same. When we draw Him we are concentrating on Him alone!!! We try to create an image that He will cherish. Just think He may even carefully attach it to His refrigerator with a magnet. He has reserved a perfect spot with all the other images that He has Collected over the centuries …

And just think He still has room for mine…

It’s Him. Its always been Him

He WOWs me… 🎨❤

The term has its roots in Genesis 1:27, wherein "God created man in his own image.

Purchase

I love Him more today than yesterday...

Meaning of purchase: the action of buying something.

The word purchase appears in the Bible in 50 occurrences in 12 translations.

A priceless gift.. Jesus

You were actually purchased with precious blood, like that of a sacrificial lamb unblemished and spotless, the priceless blood of Christ. 1 Peter 1:19

It makes me wonder were we worth it??

Many have turned their back on the greatest love known to mankind… It’s that agape love from God that runs so deep that our human mind can not understand the generous heart that He possesses.

We were purchased, with His life, blood, and last breath…

The agonizing moment wounds my heart… I would like to turn back the hands of time and change history… He was and is too precious to lose…

Sadly I do not possess the power to save Him from the pain He endured. But I have the power to repay Him for loving me so much that He would die a humiliating, grueling death just for me.

So I will ask my Dearly Beloved…What do you want of me? What do I have of value? There are no earthly possessions that have such richness and beauty...

I can only give you my heart, my mind, and my soul…

But how? Just how do we give Him our all? It is a daily commitment. A daily choice. A daily act of love.

It’s easy when we spend the time to truly get to know Him!!

It’s Him! It’s always Him! and Yes He WOW's me...

'When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,' says the Lord God. Ezekiel 16:8

Release ( Anniversary with my Triune)

The image above is from my yearly date with density… Today marks four years ago that the Holy Spirit spoke to my soul… It’s where His Heavenly love found me. Each year I return and cut off the old ribbons and replace them with new bright colors. Today I had a witness who approached me and said, “My wife and I wondered why the trees had the ribbons. I shared the highlights of my story and told him the ribbons were not here due to a terrible accident… They signify a beautiful rebirth… of my soul

Release .....

The meaning of release allows or enables to escape from confinement; set free.

We located 30 Bible verses that speak of the word release.

Do we wear our scars and life trials like clothing on a blustery winter day... One layer at a time.  Do we hide our hearts and souls from the elements of this life... Do we tuck them deep inside?

Sometimes this happens organically... Without any thought... Some lose themselves and become robotic in their daily humdrum existence... We pour ourselves into the mold of what man has created as acceptable.

Four years ago... I had a Holy Spirit experience that thrust me into the shedding many life layers... one layer and one day at a time...

This time was filled with a newfound love, joy, and wonder.  But this time also tapped into emotions that were suppressed within for so long.

Society sees weeping as a weakness. My Heavenly Father taught me the gift of tears is a cleansing of the soul and a beautiful gift.  They release an emotion that helps us seek His face, His light, and His guidance.

He lovingly invited me to step out from the oppressed lifestyle society deemed appropriate. A lifestyle that I had become accustomed to. Where I was not comfortable sharing my heart, or my most inner thoughts. The word vulnerability was a word that I owned.

However, I had a beautiful soul that rescued me. He gave me a beautiful gift of Heavenly Love and He released my soul.

Many tears fell as I transitioned from the fear of what others would think to one of pleasing my Heaving Father. During this journey, I found a love beyond this world. I found peace in the depths of my soul. I found renewed hope. I found me...

I owe Him more than I can ever repay... He is truly a daily gift of freedom that this world does not understand or can even contain... Jesus showed the world not even death can stop Him...

I can only fall to my knees as my heart fills with a love that defies all human understanding...

It's Him... it's always Him.

Four years and He still WOWs me. It's been an incredible journey.

Thank you! My Beloved Triune for the gift of you.

Ineffable

Beyond the beauty of external forms, there is more here: something that cannot be named, something ineffable, some deep, inner, holy essence. Whenever and wherever there is beauty, this inner essence shines through somehow. It only reveals itself to you when you are present. Eckhart Tolle

The meaning of ineffable: is too great or extreme to be expressed or described in words.

How do we describe the indescribable? How do we share someone that is so deep so powerful yet so vulnerable?

When we speak of God we see His greatness, His power, His love... But have we ever stopped to think of Him being vulnerable?

I believe that most people would not use the word vulnerable in the same sentence with the word God... Unless we are speaking of self..

However, I feel to love fully without judgment, without boundaries without self. One must open their vulnerable heart to feel without restraint.

So is it possible for God to love us with the greatest love that has ever existed without being vulnerable to the ones He loves the most?

This vulnerability in Him must allow Him to grieve beyond our understanding. Especially when His children turn away, or just simply do not take the time to love Him... How does He love us with such passion?

His love is indescribable. It truly defies human understanding.

He is as close as a whisper in the wind. But yet He seems to stand just barely out of reach... He can not be touched... He can only be felt within the longing of my heart and my vulnerable soul.

I stand in awe of His beauty, His grace, and His amazing soul wows me.

I can only humbly ask Him to share His vulnerable soul with me.

He is the meaning of ineffable.

He is the Alpha, where my heart begins, and the Omega where my heart ends...

It's Him... It will always be Him.

2 Corinthians 9:15 CPDV

Thanks be to God for his ineffable gift.  (of Him)
