Root

“It is in the roots, not the branches, that a tree's greatest strength lies.” ..

Meaning of root: the part of a plant which attaches it to the ground or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant via numerous branches and fibers:

There are approximately 61 verses in the Bible that refer to the word root.

The word root goes deep..The root system searches for water and nutrients to sustain life and to stabilize its canopy.  But what and how do we relate to this word without being a gardener or a farmer?

I believe it is proven we are all are much like that tiny seed... Without proper conditions, we could never have a life... The seedlings need tender care. When I examined this word I could not help but think of our Creator.

How did He think of such detail?  The seed is just a seed without God’s intervention. But even the tiniest seed needs to break the outer skin of its shell to grow roots to sustain life.

I do believe nature holds many clues and parallels of how the life cycle actually works. When we examine people we say the word root does not pertain to people.  And if you study a tree and a person side by side you would be correct. We have no physical root system. But we do have spiritual roots that go deeper and further back in time that we could even begin to imagine.

And much like the tree, our quest in life is to search for the nutrients that will allow us to sustain a stable canopy and bear fruit.  I have seen many accomplish this on the surface.  But their root system does not penetrate the earth to get that deeper spiritual nutrition that our Creator offers.

Those are the ones that can not survive the lashing of any strong wind or storm... Did you know that roots can be so strong they can actually penetrate rock? Think about that last statement for just a moment. We often hear God is my ”Rock”.  If we can look past the physical and look with spiritual eyes.  We could begin to envision our spiritual roots penetrating the strength of the rock. Where He can stabilize us to grow a beautiful canopy... Now what is the purpose of the beautiful canopy? Perhaps to shade others? Perhaps to beautify the surrounding area? But once we live out our life what is left? The true and real purpose for each creation is to bear fruit and multiply.

So I ask are your spiritual roots only on the surface? Do they search for God's nutrients by spending time with Him and His word? Do you feed your spiritual soul? Do you shade others? Do you stand there for others to admire your shallow assistance? Or do you bear the most beautiful fruit that will become your testimony of life for future generations??  He is much like a gardener and we are the seed.  Singularly we bear fruit but must together we have the ability to become a purposeful harvest. He is the nutritional value our souls crave.

It's Him, It's always Him!

Job 14:7-9

“For there is hope for a tree,

When it is cut down, that it will sprout again,

And its shoots will not fail.

“Though its roots grow old in the ground

And its stump dies in the dry soil,

At the scent of water, it will flourish

And put forth sprigs like a plant.

“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law, he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.”

Psalms 1:1-3 NASB1995

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19 KJV

Remnant

"Time is short. The world is at the brink of eternity. Right now we have the greatest opportunity to rise up and take the victory of the cross to the last corners of this earth. The Lord Jesus is graciously calling a remnant to the joys of simple obedience. For those who respond, I believe there is an opportunity right now to share in the last great move of God before Christ returns." ~ K.P. Yohannan

Meaning of remnant: a small remaining quantity of something.

There are approximately 69 verses in the Bible referencing the word remanent.

Remnant such a curious word. When I think of the word remnant a small piece of material comes to mind? A leftover...  Some people have not learned the art of repurposing things that are small or insignificant or they do not have the vision to see how it can become a bigger better product.

But where does the word remanent fit in the big picture we know as the Bible? When you look past the pages and feel this word... Our heritage has been playing out since the beginning of time...

There have been those who never wavered. They have listened to our Creator. They have loved Him beyond the understanding of our world. They trusted Him! They trusted His word! They have loved and carried His legacy to the next generation. In every generation throughout our history, there have been those few that have listened and loved Him. These souls have been scattered to the four corners of our world. Many have continued to teach their children about this amazing love. They have never stopped their journey towards the greatest love they have ever known... But it’s with a sad heart that I must say I feel there are many that do know this love. They do not care to know it. They have lost the opportunity by turning their back on the most amazing love they could ever know.

We must look into our hearts and ask ourselves. Are we remnants of a tribe where His blood has flowed? Are we set apart as His children? I do believe His followers may be small in number. But I believe we are all remnants of a much bigger picture ... There is a power that is achieved when His love brings these remnants together. He will make the most amazing beautiful spiritual tapestry the world has ever known.

It’s Him, It’s always Him!!

But now for a brief moment grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us an escaped remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage. Ezra 9:8

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name John 1:12

Silence

For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37

The meaning of silence: complete absence of sound:

The word silence appears to be in the Bible approximately 86times.

When you are given the most beautiful gift you could ever imagine. And you find that you have a burning desire to share this rare gem with everyone you know.. You might find yourself using every avenue known to mankind to share this message of LOVE.  You will find you can not be silenced. But there will be the times when you feel that your efforts fall on ears that can not hear..   eyes that can not see.. and hearts that can not feel.

It brings sadness to your soul. It is like being in Disneyland alone ... Where you want to ride the tilt a whirl with the ones you love... but you feel you are alone and all you hear is the silence of your own heart beating.

However, I must admit I have found that it’s in these moments you truly find the most amazing beauty in the silent times. Because that is when you are still enough to hear the most melodic voice. It's the voice that speaks to our soul. It's a place where the chatter of life does not exist. .... It's where you realize that you are the most important soul to someone you hold dear to your heart.  It's at that time you have His undivided attention and His beautiful promise that He will never leave you !!

But the most important revelation becomes.. that sharing Him fills your own heart .. and for the souls that do not seem to be listening it may not be their time... Their soul silently awaits His Love to ignite their flame. Only He knows the perfect time and place for each man, woman, and child.

So continue to share His great love.  Because what our soul is searching for can not be found In a man-made Disneyland. Our soul will not rest until it finds its way home to our Fathers loving arms.

It’s Him,  it’s always Him

Psalm 62:5-6 My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken. Be silent and be still in the presence of the Lord.

"Speechless (Full)"
(from "Aladdin" soundtrack)

Here comes a wave
Meant to wash me away
A tide that is taking me under
Swallowing sand
Left with nothing to say
My voice drowned out in the thunder

But I won't cry
And I won't start to crumble
Whenever they try
To shut me or cut me down

I won't be silenced
You can't keep me quiet
Won't tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless

'Cause I'll breathe
When they try to suffocate me
Don't you underestimate me
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless

Written in stone
Every rule, every word
Centuries-old and unbending
"Stay in your place"
"Better seen and not heard"
Well, now that story is ending

'Cause I
I cannot start to crumble
So come on and try
Try to shut me and cut me down

I won't be silenced
You can't keep me quiet
Won't tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless

Let the storm in
I cannot be broken
No, I won't live unspoken
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless

Try to lock me in this cage
I won't just lay me down and die
I will take these broken wings
And watch me burn across the sky
Hear the echo saying I...

Won't be silenced
Though you wanna see me tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless

'Cause I'll breathe
When they try to suffocate me
Don't you underestimate me
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless

Unloveable

“When the beauty of your soul kisses your heart you will know true love. It’s bliss and unconditional sweetness will leave you forever changed.” – Judy Secore

Love the unlovable.

Life is so fragile, time is short how can we not recognize the value in each moment .. Help us lovelike you. Your love is such an intense, gentle, forgiving, unexplainable gift...  How do you do it ??? You love the unlovable with such an unselfish unconditional love that it can be perplexing. 🤔

Love is.......

It's Him, It's always Him.

I am grateful for His gentle guidance... Protect our hearts as we learn to travel this road together.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have a love for one another.”

John 13:34-35

Value

“If I could give you one gift, I would give you the ability to see yourself as I see you, so you could see how truly special you are.”

The meaning of value: the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. "Your support is of great value" a person's principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life. Estimate the monetary worth of (something).

The word value is in approximately thirteen verses in the Bible.

The word value means many things to many people. When I look around it seems that our value system has eroded over time. There is such discord. Such a divide? What happened to our values? What happened to our moral conduct? What happened to the life we once cherished?  I do believe that we as a society have drifted into the danger zone.

When I try to understand and analyze what happened, I feel that there are those that do not truly understand the impact of their actions of removing God from our existence. They have unfortunately, tainted the wholesome core values of our heritage.  Can we ever recover? Can we turn back the hands of time? Do some even care? Or are they happy with an existence that could implode?

There is a quote by Patti Smith “The one thing we can always count on is change?” I say there is one thing we can always count on, that is the constant love of our Savior. He has never wavered. He values each one of His children. Even the ones that have tried to remove His legacy here on earth. How has He not become bitter? How does He love like this? How do we not value Him above all else? How do we not see the beauty He possesses? How do we not love Him without boundaries? He is the only way we can turn back the hands of time. He is the only way we can return our heavenly heritage to that wholesome loving society.  Without Him, we are lost…

He is calling His children, listen for His whispers… He is our compass. He is our guide…

To Value Him, is to value life.

It's Him, It's always Him.

For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness, I have drawn you” (Jeremiah 31:3). His love for you is relentless, immeasurable, and infinite.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ … that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4) Your heavenly Father has planned a magnificent, never-ending future for you.

Dancing in the shadows

"The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire." ~ Ferdinand Foch

A black heart in an unforgiving world. When you dance in the shadows of darkness.. and fear grips your soul. Your life will spiral downward no matter how hard to try to hide. The only defense is to light your soul on fire 🔥 and watch the darkness run as you blaze.  This light will illuminate your heart and the doors of life will open to the greatest love you have ever known.

It's Him, It's always Him.

Blessing

Express your love.. Make today worth remembering, Be the light!

God's favor and protection.

There are over 80 blessings in the Bible.

As I wake up on a chilly day I began to look into the word blessing...

Do we see each of them? Do we take them for granted? Do we only speak and pray for blessings when families gather at the dinner table? Do we say a robotic prayer and then dive in?

We truly should make it a part of our daily routine. It should be as common as brushing our teeth...

In this world of uncertainty, we must start to view blessings on a more intimate scale...

These seem to be the most generic answers

1.   Today I woke up

2.   I have amazing family and friends

3.   I am in good health

4.   I have a job

But I believe 1. Should be I am blessed by getting to know my creator. He loves me far greater than anyone here on earth... He listens to all victories and all of my failures. He never judges me. He gently guides me. He reveals more of Himself each new day... He allows me the latitude to grow my love for Him each day and I do feel I could go on and on..

You see if you realize and start your day by seeing Him and counting How He has blessed your life... your list of blessings will no longer be generic they will become genuine ... they will become personal and they will be shared with your creator.

1.   Thank you Father for blessing me with this beautiful day

2.   Thank you Father for filling my life with the most amazing family and Friends I love them all. Please continue to keep them in your care.

3.   Thank you for watching over me and giving me Heath so I can share you with others

4.   Thank you Father for providing me a stable income. Doing something that I love is a plus.

So don’t wait to come to the table. Don’t spout that robotic prayer. Don’t see the generic list of blessings... See the one who creates the blessing for you ... See Him

It’s Him, It’s always Him !!

Thank you, LOVEs for blessing me with the greatest gift. It’s you!

Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. Psalms 95:2 NIV

Mist

"The spirit-world around this world of sense
Floats like an atmosphere, and everywhere
Wafts through these earthly mists and vapors dense. A vital breath of more ethereal air." ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Meaning of mist: a cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface limiting visibility, but to a lesser extent than fog; strictly, with visibility remaining above 1.5 miles (1 km):

The word Mist is in the Bible approximately 8 times.

Living in Tennessee many mornings we are blessed with beautiful views of hills and mountains filled with a fine like mist. It truly is breathtaking.

I like to think of it as heaven kissing earth...God has given us so many beautiful gifts. Do we see them or do we take them for granted?

When I searched the Bible to study the word mist. I found that this word is mentioned only a few times... and it seems mist and vapor are almost interchangeable.

In the Scripture John 4:14, it states that we are just a vapor that appears here on earth for a limited time.

However, when I think of the word mist or vapor I think of the most significant spiritual moment in each of our lives.

It's that moment when we make the commitment to take Jesus Into our hearts. At that very moment, a beautiful awakening of God's presence in our soul can be felt. He begins His work of transforming our sinful nature into one of beauty and love.  We know the presence as the Holy Spirit. Many know His name but we have a tendency to exclude Him when we are looking for answers. We pray to God or His beautiful Son Yeshua... Why do we forget the Holy Spirit? He lives within our very soul. In my journey, I questioned why do we hear many say they fell in love with God or Jesus but I never hear anyone say they fell in love with the Holy Spirit??

I believe it may be because we do not paint a picture in our mind's eye, we do not understand Him. We set Him apart from God. When truly He is God, just in another form?

Let’s close our eyes and imagine this beautiful gift from God. I will share what I see. I see Him as a beautiful spirit. He looks very much like I see the Father  ... I see Him transparent but physically seen... His face rugged and has the look of an older wiser man. His hair and beard are long and white. His head is adorned with a beautiful golden crown. His aura is white bright and seems to be a beautiful mist or vapor.  When He moves I see this misty trail of white sparkling flecks. It follows His every move. This mist is a heavenly mist made up of fine stardust ... He is amazing.

You see the Holy Spirit is a unique gift from God. it is a special part of God himself. He gives us this gift so He can become a constant mist from heaven that intertwines with our very soul. We can take this special mist of God with us wherever we go... It's His breath of life and love.. and it’s how He communes with our hearts and souls... His whispers are like a fine heavenly mist that quenches our thirsty souls.

It's Him! it’s always Him!

Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. James 4:14.

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14
