Purpose

So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Galatians 3:26/27

.The meaning of purpose the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

There are 45 verses that reference purpose in the Bible.

The word purpose can leave one either very focused or very confused…

I have witnessed a small portion of the population are blessed knowing their purpose in life as a child. Most seem to be hyper-focused and become protégés early in life. But I do not believe that is normal for most of the general population.

When I think back at my life, my purpose changed according to what was happening in my life. You can probably relate. As a child, my purpose was to go to school get good grades, and stay out of trouble.  As you grow into a young adult you began to try to understand your purpose and pray you to get it right. But then life happens, and you have children of your own.  And like many moms and dads, your purpose becomes your children. And they become a large chunk of your life. Working to provide for their care. Working to ensure their happiness. Working to love them through all of their trials. Then one day they are grown. And they began the cycle of life outlined above.

And if you are blessed you become a part of their team and help support them and their children. Because in this world it is so true. We do need a village to raise a child.

But as important as this is. When someone finds you and redirects your focus in a mighty way. How can we explain it? How can we pursue it? How can we understand it?

I can only speak from my experience. God found me on a lonely road in Tennessee. I have been trying to explain it by sharing my experience and writing about my journey. It’s has taken me many hours of pursuing Him to understand Him and what He wants. You see it truly is quite simple. We are the ones who complicate our relationship with our Heavenly Father, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit. (3N1)

His purpose has always been His children. They are a large chunk of His life. He is always providing for their care. He wants to ensure our happiness. He will love us through all of our life trials.

He wants us to love Him with all our mind, body, and soul. Because that is how He loves us. with everything He has!! It’s a love like no other.

It seems that our true purpose is to LOVE. So how do we miss the mark so many times? How can we truly fill our purpose?

I have found when you love Him with all your mind, body, and soul your purpose to LOVE becomes clear. Because when you do this your focus becomes clear. and everything around you has new meaning and you began living a purposeful life. He is the gift and the key to achieving our life’s purpose.

It's Him. It's always Him

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Psalm 1 2-3

Yearn

The Monastery of the Immaculate Conception is a monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana

..Meaning of yearn: to have an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from.

The word yearn is in approximately 23 instances in the Bible.

When I hear the word yearn, I am transported to the period of time called the RenaissanceWhere the subject of love was written with such passion and artistry. It has withstood the test of time and has been appreciated for generations. The word yearn points me to that a famous quote by William Shakespeare. “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? By any other word would smell as sweet. Parting is such sweet sorrow.” Where two young teens had a LOVE so strong that the thought of living without the one they yearned for, made life not worth living.

That my friend is a yearning beyond our comprehension.

Is that so farfetched? When we look at yearning on a spiritual level.. It can be difficult to navigate in these unknown waters. When you feel the beautiful presence of God. It can fill your soul with a love that is difficult to explain. But it leaves you with a yearning in your soul for more. There is an unquenchable thirst.

There are scriptures that call to our souls, “if we thirst come.” (Rev 22:17) I do believe before we are born our souls have tasted the living water, and we were satisfied. And then as we travel in this life on earth. We are in a constant search to taste and be filled by that living water. It’s a yearning that comes from the deepest part of the soul. It’s a desire to be loved. It’s a yearning of missing the bond we once had with our creator. And yes, we can bond with Him on a spiritual level. But as humans, we yearn for His touch, for His embrace, for His love.

If you do not continue to seek Him your yearning for that missing piece in your life will never be satisfied. There are many who try to be filled with earthly possessions and successes and have taken their eye off the bigger picture.  Eternity! With the greatest love that has ever been given with such passion and artistry. It has withstood the test of time and has been appreciated for generations.

Him, It's always Him.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.(Rev 22:17)

For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things. Psalms 107.9

Alive

My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming." ─ Psalm 27:8 NLT

Meaning of alive: (A person, animal, or plant) living, not dead.

The word alive is in the Bible approximately 268 times.

As the first rays of the morning began to peek across the horizon we began to feel a sense of being alive. When just seconds before we were in a blissful state of slumber. Does this mirror life? Are we dormant? Do walk through life asleep? I do believe there are degrees of being alive. I understand some must have a few cups of coffee to get their motor running. What is the driving force that some show the world? That reason may differ for many people. But the question becomes are we satisfied? Are truly happy? Is our spirit-filled? Is our soul alive? Or do we go through the motions?

I can share my experience. After moving to a new city I felt dormant. But I was introduced to someone that flipped my life.. and my soul began to dance and feel alive! What does this alive feeling mean?

There is an appreciation for everything and everyone around you! There is a wonderment of God. Life has a purpose and you began to see things in vivid colors. You began to hear words of LOVE. Your heart is open to feeling the sweetness of each waking moment.

Does your purpose give you these gifts? Or does your description of alive look different? Do you think my description is something you would like to experience? I can point you to the reason I feel a renewed sense of the word alive. He will change how you see life!! And you will feel alive like never before!!

It’s him, it’s always Him!

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6 NIV

Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Genesis 2:7 ESV

“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.”

Glory

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2:14

The word, glory, or some form of the word (like glorious or glorify) is found in the King James Bible 538 times.

The Hebrew word for glory (kavod) is sometimes used figuratively to mean “heavy” or “dense.” When we speak of a “weighty” person, someone who is honorable, worthy, or impressive.

When I think of Glory, I see the ultimate Glory of the Trinity. It’s an amazing beautiful presence that transcends time and space. It has all the remarkable characteristics of greatness, yet our Father is humble and kind.

The 3 (The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit) work in unison as one. Their brilliance manifests itself as a beautiful aura that surrounds Them. Their core component is a LOVE that is beyond words... His glory has made itself known and it has shined through the ages brighter than any star. His glory cannot be seen with the naked eye.

However, if you are privileged to feel His amazing glory... your life will never be the same...  I can say 25 months ago ... I believe I have felt this amazing gift of glory... It seemed to wrap me in a light, that brought warmth and a LOVE that I have had difficulty describing. Initially, it left me bewildered and confused and placed a love in my soul that needed to be shared. I was not prepared. But felt a gentle magnetic pull that he placed on my heart and soul changed so many things.

As days passed, I grew closer to Him. His glorious LOVE brought me amazing peace and beautiful joy to my soul. Many speak of His glory as a weight. My experience left me with a different perspective. He does carry an amazing powerful persona!

But being touched by His amazing grace gave me a feeling of weightlessness, freedom, peace, and a joy that surpasses all understanding. He openly shares his magnificent LOVE!! It’s so vast and powerful it difficult to contain!!

It is my opinion the description “weight of his glory” is derived from the richness and purity of his character.  He is perfect in every way. There is nothing that compares. I can only stand in awe...

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” Luke 2:13-14

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV

Questions

The Lord says: "I will create a new heaven and a new earth.

Isaiah 65:1

If that scripture doesn't bring at least one question to your mind? You may not want to read any further.

Questions a sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information.

Bible scholars estimate that there are approximately 3,300 questions in the Bible.

Are we curious people? Or do we settle for what is written and stop there? When do we lose the passion to know more?? Have our lives become so busy we do not make time to explore.  Many may be tired of my questions? Many may think wow doesn’t she know? Some may say that is a silly or ridiculous question.

I am very confident that not everyone knows everything especially when we are speaking of our creator. I must say I have been on a journey of discovery and I have only begun to scratch the surface. I have run into many who were kind and tried to help me fill in the blanks. Some judged and felt I should know the answers. I have even had some say that is a crazy question.

I have held many management positions and have raised children. And I am a firm believer that there are no questions that are crazy or should not be explored. The unasked question is the only question that is crazy.

But to all those who feel you have all the answers kudos to you. You are in a place in your life that you are complete. You have maxed out on your learning and your eagerness and excitement to learn may be fading.

I will admit and I am ecstatically happy that I have so much more to discover. So many questions, so much more to learn. I find LIFE exciting! I do believe when we stop learning, life will become flat and lack purpose.

I only discovered the Bible 8 months ago. And with the help of a friend. We have danced across many scriptures and have written about 234 words. I am on a personal quest to find out as much as I possibly can about the greatest LOVE of all time.

Have you ever thought of how Jesus taught? It is an amazing find… Did you know in the Gospels Jesus asks many more questions than he answered? To be precise, Jesus asks 307 questions. He is asked 183 of which he only answers 3. Asking questions was central to Jesus' life and teachings. And I am confident without any doubt that He knows all the answers. That is His beauty, He was humble, He was kind and He wanted you to discover the answer for yourself. He was a master teacher. But more than that He did everything in LOVE.

So, have you ever thought maybe the one who asked the question? May know the answer but wants you to have the victory of discovering the answer. Not everything is always as it seems.

I have learned a lot in my walk. But will admit I have a long, long way to go. I am an open book and will share what I know. And If I do not have the answer, we can ask Him together.  He will guide us to the answer.

We just need to seek Him.

Its Him, It's always Him.

“The power to question is the basis of all human progress.” – Indira Gandhi

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”. John 14:1-31

Adoration

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:5

Meaning of adoration deep love and respect. worship; veneration. In the Bible Adoration is respect, reverence, strong admiration, or devotion in a certain person, place, or thing. The term comes from the Latin adōrātiō, meaning "to give homage or worship to someone or something".

There are approximately 21 verses about the word adoration.

When we look at our world the word adoration seems to be a skewed practice. And it can be seen across genders, cultures, and religious boundaries.  What do we adore? Is it those favorite pair of beautiful stylish pumps? Is it that sports figure that clinches the win for your home team? Is it that beautiful building with state of the art technology we call a worship center? Wow, when I dive into what we as humans adore this list can go on for miles.

I believe the word adore can be closely connected to the word love.  When we fall in love with someone, we have a tendency to adore even the most irritating traits. We may even find them cute, where others see them as character flaws.

So, I will ask you what do you adore? Are we truly adoring what really brings value to our lives ?? Let’s create a checklist.

Does it give you peace? Does it give you hope? Does it give you a love beyond anything you have ever known? It’s it available day and night 365 days a year? Rain or shine? Will it stay with you when you are afraid? Will it show you how to LIVE? Will it deliver you from the pits of despair? Will it cheer your victories? Will it offer a hand to hold? Will it have no end date ?? Will it share the secret to living life to its fullest?

Well, hmm I have found such a person and I adore Him. I adore His character. I adore Him because He Loves me as much as He loves you.

I adore His face, His loving nature, His kindness, His compassion… I adore Him and my list is truly endless! However, I must say I have yet to find any character flaws. He truly is perfect. Others before me have tried, and have failed. I challenge you to find out for yourself. Because I am confident you will fall in love and adore Him too.

Its Him, It's always Him !!

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Revelation 5:13

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have a love for one another.” John 13: 34:35

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another. John 13:34-35 NIV

Forsake

Forsake abandon (someone or something.

The word 'forsaketh' appears 6 times. the word 'forsook' appears 24 times. the word 'forsake' appears 58 times. the word 'forsaken' appears 76.

The word forsake came to rest on my heart today at 4:18 am. I am truly not sure why.

But the hour brought darkness. It brought silence. It brought thoughts of being alone.

When we feel we are in a place where no one understands. Where we are on a walk that speaks to our soul.. and we must travel a road alone where do we turn. You may be in a place where you do not want to own the pain. But there is no choice but to burn in the fire of loneliness. And you will feel it deep in your soul it no matter how long it takes to let go.

There are times we may feel abandoned by world standards. Jesus must have had these same feelings when He faced the day He walked on the road to the cross. We must never forget no matter how difficult life may be. God has promised to NEVER leave us. These times may seem difficult. But find rest! Rest in knowing you are in God's arms of LOVE.. and there is no better place to be. He will hold you as you heal. He will never forsake you!  He never has.. just feel Him in your heart ...Hear His whispers in your soul.. feel Him. He knows your scars. He has felt the same pain.

I wonder where does He go when we abandon Him? Who holds Him when we forsake Him? So many turn away from Him?  It must put a scar in His heart so deep?   Tears must stream down His face. And even if it is you that has caused Him this type of pain. His love for you will never die. He will meet you with open arms. He will hold you at your darkest hour. He is our forever constant! He loves us far beyond any pain we feel.

Who? Who has the capacity to LOVE like this ??

It’s Him, It’s always Him!

Teach us about your gift of love!

The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: 1 Kings 8:57

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. Psalms 27:9

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 13:5

Invest

In their hearts, humans plan their course,  but the LORD establishes their steps. Proverbs 16: 9

The meaning of invest: Expend money with the expectation of achieving a profit or material result by putting it into financial schemes, shares, or property, or by using it to develop a commercial venture.

Provide or endow someone or something with (a particular quality or attribute)

There is approximately 39 verse about investing.

When we see the word invest many of us think Wall Street many may think of our 401K, others may see a bigger picture where the dividends are endless.

In our present world where we see and feel such unrest and uncertainty in our global economy. We can easily become people of doubt. So where is it we can be safe and invest? Where can we have the amazing opportunity to acquire those endless dividends?  Where can we have that peace in our hearts knowing we have invested wisely?

There are many things in our world that can point us in that direction. The question becomes, are we willing to commit to what is required?  We need to invest our time, our resource, our passion, and love to reap the full harvest.

As a shareholder in this thing we call life you can invest as little or as much as you want. I have found the following formula, our payout is based on the total earnings, and is paid out in the way of dividends. Resulting in our gain.

So, when we look at our spiritual walk with Christ. How much do we invest? Do you love others? Do we follow His commandments? Do we love God with all of our heart and with all of our soul and with all of our mind? Do we truly invest our time? Or do we just search for Him on Sundays or when things are not going as planned in our life?

He is the best investment you can make for yourself, your family, and your friends. And I do believe our forefathers knew something when they placed. “IN GOD WE TRUST ON OUR CURRENCY” Trust Him. Invest the time. The gift is priceless.

Its Him, It's always Him.

What an amazing GAIN.. your life will never be the same.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; Matthew 6:20 -

"Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth."Colossians 3:2

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. Colossians 4:6

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen Hebrews 11:1

Beauty

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.― Kahlil Gibran

..The meaning of beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight:

The word beauty appears 49 times.

Today our society places such a great amount of value on beauty. You cannot turn on the TV or turn the pages of a magazine without an advertisement about beauty or suggestions on how you can achieve this title.

Do we strive for perfection at all costs? I do believe many try. Now do not get me wrong I do believe we should take care of what God gave us and try to always present our best to the outside world.

But does the word beauty point to a beauty in the Bible that cannot be contained? Is it a physical beauty or the beauty of a heart that lives in every man, woman, and child? Did our creator ever so gently place a beautiful soul in each of us at birth?? I have to believe the answer is yes.

When we think of the scripture Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” I do feel he is speaking spiritually and with a broad sense of two eyes, two ears, two hands. But He made each one of us unique, each one special and each one beautiful in His eyes.

His value system points to inner beauty. It’s the beauty of the heart that He longs to see in all of His children.  We can see this in the beauty of His Son… The Bible does not speak too much of Jesus’s physical looks. Our creator shared Jesus to teach us what attributes shine from the soul. He came to earth to teach us and to show us that these traits are attainable.

So, when we look for a value system to understand the word beauty … Look to Jesus, Look to His example, close your eyes and think what do you love about Him? Is it His Love? His power? His grace? His kindness? His compassion? And as those thoughts dance in your head. His beautiful face will appear in your thoughts…

Its Him, Its always Him

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you. Song of Solomon 4:7 ESV.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well Psalm 139:14 ESV
