Darkness II

Darkness will not gain victory over the light of Christ. In faith, there is enough light for those who want to believe and enough shadows to blind those who don't.

The meaning of dark the absence of light in a place: darkness, blackness, absence of light, gloom, gloominess.

Dark in the Bible is referred to 225 times.

Dark or Darkness I believe touches everyone at some time in their life... I chose this word today because as I write about this word I am sitting in the darkness of my room...

Darkness can be an overwhelming scary place. It’s where creepy things go bump in the night... It is the anticipation of things unknown. We can become paralyzed due to fear.  It can rob us of so much life. During my journey, I did experience a time of darkness. It made me feel a loss in my soul, it made me cry, it made me bewildered and sad. Looking back I found out that in my darkest hour I found out a lot about me.  I do believe there are times we are given life trials so we can grow. But I also found out that no matter how sad or difficult things might seem I was never alone. I did find out that God never left my side. His gentleness and love held me when I felt lost. He became my best friend, my confidant, my guiding light...The darkness that tried to consume my soul had no choice but to flee...

I did learn over time to appreciate the darkness, those “stillness” moments, those quiet times when the house is void of light and family noise! This dark hour is when I find my Heavenly Father, my quiet time with Him, and His word breathes light into my soul. He fills my heart with a love that is difficult to contain. If I love Him? Is no longer a question. It becomes IF I get up a few minutes before everyone ... I will find my golden hour ...my solace, my LOVEs ...

There is no darkness that can rob me of His eternal light.  You see this darkness is not a place, It not something we can see with our eyes. It's a place deep within our souls. And I have found when we invite God into our lives,  His light begins to shine from within.  He gives us that light that shines even in our darkest hour. Because we can be confident that we are never alone. We do not have to fight life demons by ourselves. He is victorious over all things we may encounter. He stands tall, strong, and ready. So pick up the light sword and be ready for any battle that may rage from within... Being ready is half the battle...

The power of light that we feel is from within...

It’s Him!!  It’s always Him.

Safe

Isaiah 43:1 - Don't fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.

Meaning of safe protected from or not exposed to danger or risk; not likely to be harmed or lost.

We located 27 verses that speak to the word safety,

There are times in our lives no matter how brave or strong we think we are we will be afraid… it is part of life… the unknown can be very scary.

Even though scripture states have no fear for I am with you. Doubt will creep in.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

So how do we learn to cling to this steadfast faith that no matter what comes we are safe… we have no fear?  Times are tough, Times are uncertain, and Times are challenging...

I believe that we should look for His light in the darkness… His beautiful light will warm even the darkest of situations… His light will give us hope to face the days ahead… To just know that you are not alone “ever” is a comforting thought… But

what if ….

What if you learn to feel His love?

What if you learn to hear His voice?

What if you can feel Him stirring in the depths of your soul?

What if you could understand that our soul will live a life of great beauty and peace for eternity?

What if the transition from earth to heaven is truly our soul mission?

What if God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are real?

What if this book we call the Bible is truly God's word?

What if I tell you I fell in love with the greatest love I have ever known? And my life will never be the same!

Have you ever asked yourself what if everything believers are saying is true?

What if they are right?

What if doubt is keeping you from my soul's mission?

What if I am so earthly bound I never grab the opportunity to know my creator, my first love my hope for tomorrow?

What if the answer to all of my questions points to Him?

It’s Him, it will always be Him…

What if you allow yourself the freedom to fall in love with Him?  I can tell you your life will never be the same.

What if ?????

He wows you ??? Because He wows me every day!!

It’s Him, it’s always Him!!

Play it safe …. And fall in love!!  He is waiting with open arms...

Sacrificial love

Sacrificial love… unselfish & pure.

There is no deeper love. There are not enough words to explain what my heart feels… He has an unexplainable soul connection with His children. His voice resonates in the deepest chambers of our souls… Are we listening?

He is calling each heart by name…He is gathering every soul … Time is near…

What makes our soul turn toward His light? What moves a heart to open to His beautiful love ???

How do you explain the unexplainable? He takes my very breath away….

I can only whisper His name…

Jesus

He moves my spiritual soul like no other!

Breakfast with Him

The most important meal of the day...

Not just any breakfast.  It was the third time He had appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. They had gone back to fishing when suddenly they heard someone calling them from the shore.  Who was calling?

They did not expect to see Him that morning.

John said, “It is the Lord”!

John loved Him and recognized Him before the others did.  Do we know Him when He comes to eat and share with us?  He has much to tell us.

He came that morning to them all, but especially to one disciple.
His conversation with Peter is one that has been recorded for all of us to read.  It is a touching moment.

The night before His death on the cross Peter had denied that he had ever known Him.  But this day he was the first to run to Him.  It was Peter’s time to shed the guilt he had carried for days.

We have all denied Him at some time during our walk with Him.  He is ready to forgive us and ask us where do we stand in our relationship with Him today.

His questions to us are the same ones he asked Peter.  Do you love me just as a friend? Or do you burn with love for me more than anything?

That is what He is asking us.  Is our love for Him passionate?   Is that love for Him like a fire within us?  Do we feel His love burning in our hearts?

If not.  Seek Him with all your heart.  Let Him search your heart.  May your relationship with Him be one that burns with a deep passion.

When you do He will call you to do those things He planned for you.  You will stand free from guilt as you love Him with all your heart, soul, and might.

Rejoice in the One who loves you.
Meet Him for breakfast!

Comfort

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." ... Psalm 23:4.

Meaning of comfort: a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint.

We located 50 verses that speak to the words comfort and peace.

The word comfort does not roll off the tongue with a softness that you would expect of a word that holds so much feeling…  When I think of this word I slip away into my childhood days… I had many bouts in the hospital with what was known as croup… I can remember my parents were there. They helped me feel safe and secure… and as I traveled in this life they have never waiver. They have always been that shoulder I can cry on, that heart that understands, and that hand that I can hold at the end of a trying day…

I  have been blessed to have experienced this in my earthly life. And now when I look at my Heavenly Father, I can relate to His comfort on a much higher level … We can find comfort with people in our lives… But life is fleeting… The comfort our Father gives is a peaceful slumber of the heart… He gives us hope through His amazing Son Jesus … and then we have one of the greatest comforters of all times the Spirit who dwells within … He is our unsung hero. Now you ask me how He can be better than God or His Son Jesus. If I have not shared this with you, let me start by saying it’s Him. He is the most remarkable 3 in one soul I have ever grown to know… He is my comforter, He is my guide, He is my Savior.. and He loved me first … and I am committed to loving Him with all my heart and soul…

I yearn to one day hear well done my child well done.

And at that moment, I will know that He found comfort in me…

He is my great I Am!

It’s Him, It will always be Him!

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Chicken or Eagle by Joann Turnbull

“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love put into them that matters.”  Mother Teresa

I have been in the midst of studying the chapters in Genesis about Noah and the Ark.

God saw that the wickedness of man was great, and He was sorry He had made man. It grieved Him at His heart.  God said I will destroy  man I have created.  Every man, animal, and fowls of the air.

As He thought this He remembered Noah.  Noah had found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and he walked with God.  So God asked Noah to build an ark.  One big enough to hold Noah and his family.  Eight people.  And two of every living thing.  The ark would have been 500 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 50 feet high.

God was going to flood the whole earth, every man and animal would drown from the flood except those in the ark.  What a request for Noah to accomplish.  So Noah did it.  It took 100 years to build it.  It had never rained before and the people mocked him as he told them to change their ways.

What does this have to do with the title of this writing????   As I was studying Noah I read Isaiah 40:31.  “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles....”. Eagles can soar to great heights.  Chickens have the wing span and strength to fly a great distance but they do not. They only fly a short distance when in danger, and then go back to pecking in the same place all day.
Are we up to the challenge of soaring like an Eagle trusting God as we go, or like a chicken only flies when in danger?
Would you be willing to answer God’s request to do something that seems difficult?  Or believe a truth in the Bible you have read over many times but did not even comprehend?

Let’s be like an eagle and believe in the might, love, and power of our God.

Luke 10:27  “Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

Gave

How many there are … who imagine that because Jesus paid it all, they need pay nothing, forgetting that the prime object of their salvation was that they should follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ in bringing back a lost world to God. - Lottie Moon

Meaning of the word gave: freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to.

We located 44 verses that refer to the word gave…

In my life, I have been blessed with many gifts… the gift of life, the gift of love, and the gift of fabulous family and friends…

But one day, I was given a precious gift that changed my life. It gently changed who I was to become… A Child of God.

God gave me the gift of Himself. ๐Ÿ˜

He came soft as a summer breeze…He spoke to my soul, and I was captivated by His voice. He called Himself the Holy Spirit…. I had heard of this name… But I never took the time to know Him… However, that has changed… I talk to Him every day. I share my thoughts my prayers and my heart… He is such a fantastic listener…

But God didn’t stop there, He wowed me by giving me the gift of His Son. Many know the Son of God as Jesus… I call Him Yeshua. I must confess He has been intimate with my heart… He knows me better than I know myself. He has taught me many things, But I especially am taken in by the teachings of His heavenly love… It’s a love that goes beyond what this old world could even begin to know… He takes my breath away….

When I think of my three in one… My mind surrenders and I willingly give Him my heart and soul… I do not know where He is leading this life that He has held so dear for so long…. But I know I must follow Him… even into the unknown…

And to think … I never knew Him… but somewhere during this journey, I fell in love with the one who loved me first…

It’s Him, It will always be Him.

He completes me… I am His work in progress…

And yes, He is my Elohim…

My 3 in one… My purpose for life.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Wishing you an evening filled with His abundant love..

God Bless

Knocking by Joann Turnbull

Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. Luke 12:36

We might ask who is that knocking at my door?  For several weeks the word knocking has been on my mind. When someone comes to your door they will knock.

Today many of us hear a knocking on the door to our hearts and soul.  It is Jesus.  He may have been knocking a long time on the door of your heart, but you have ignored Him.

Our Creator and the One who loves us so, you may have been ignoring Him.  Sometimes we will open the door if there is something we need from Him.  But we do not welcome Him in to stay. He wants to move in and sit at the table and eat with you.  As you share a meal He has much to tell you.  He doesn’t want just one meal with you, but He wants to share your home with Him.

You came to this place in your life because He has loved you before you were born.  He has so much to tell you.  He wants to share the moments of each day with you.  He will be the closest friend you ever had.  He will not bail out on you when things get hard to bear.  He will comfort you and hold you in His arms until the trouble passes.

Open the door wide and give Him access to every room in your house.  As you do you will begin to love Him with your whole heart, soul, and might.

He says, “I stand at the door and knock:  IF any man hears my voice, and opens the door,

I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me.”  Revelation 3:20

This verse was written to the seven Churches. Maybe you made a decision long ago to accept His grace for your sins.  But you are lukewarm in your relationship with Him now.

What joy and love await those who open the door wide to Him.  You will fall in love with Him.  He delights to be with you 24/7.
