Hope

God is good!

The word hope is mentioned 129 times 121 verses in the Bible

In Scripture, according to the Hebrew and Greek words translated by the word “hope” and according to biblical usage, hope is an indication of certainty. “Hope” in Scripture means “a strong and confident expectation.”

Hope is an amazing human resiliency that can manifest itself in the bleakest situation.  Hope can soothe the smallest of uncertainties, to the largest of despairs. It can bring peace to your soul and love to your heart. But where does it come from? How do we achieve HOPE when we have our lives changing so rapidly?? So many unsettling questions. Hope is a complicated word?  Is it attainable by just exercising a positive attitude? I do not want to diminish the fact of having a positive attitude can reduce stress and anxiety. But I have found the very nature of Hope is a looking forward attitude and does not live in the present action of positivity.

However, when we further examining the word HOPE there seems to a secret sauce that seems to be present in HOPE. It’s built on our Faith, where an optimistic state of mind produces a peace that can be felt in our soul. When we reach any level of Hope we can feel the burden lifted, the darkness and uncertainties dissipate, and a view of the future possibilities seem to be attainable.

So, what is it? How do we attain this Hope? What is this secret sauce? Well, I did mention we must have faith. But faith in what or whom?? If we are seeing Hope as a future possibility the only answer is its Him.

I Love that it is always Him. He is the only one that knows his children, their immediate needs, and understands what it will take to pursue and attain our future existence. As you see the secret sauce is truly not a secret, he has promised us a future.  So how do we partake in this beautiful magical gift? It truly is pretty simplistic. and spelled out several times in the Bible.

Luke 10:27 - And he is answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.

I can only pray that this word study has pointed you to seek Hope and embrace a future free of burdens or darkness. It’s time to gather, exercise Faith, and place our HOPE in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  Our future depends on them! 1x1x1 = Him

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes: but its leaf will be green and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8.

Proverbs 24:14 Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

Defender

Jesus, Defender of my heart !

The meaning of defender: a person who defends someone or something:protector. There are 28 verses about Defender in the Bible.

Who do we run to when we feel hurt, violated or scared?? As children our parents offer that place of safety, where we find comfort and hide if necessary, from life’s boo boos ... Like most parents, you will become that protector or defender that will fight every battle thrown before your child. However, where do we turn for ourselves, when we need someone to help us through a difficult life trial?

I have been blessed by God to have amazing family and friends to support and love me through anything life has thrown at me. They have loved, protected and defended me. Even when I have not been aware that I needed it. So, what about God where was he?? He is the great defender? He is our protector? Our comforter?  How does he do these things? Here are my thoughts to these questions.  YES, He is all those things and Yes, he answers our prayers and fulfills our needs.

You see he is not boastful or proud. He allows others to move in our lives doing his work under his direction.  You may not realize it was Him that hugged you as your mother placed her arms around you. Or when your father gently kissed your cheek. Or when your friend or your significant other held your hand or wiped a tear. You saw the physical person ...

But it was God moving in your life. He is the greatest orchestrator of people and knows who you need in your life at any given time. So, the next time you see someone come to your aid? Look them in the eye and let your soul quietly ask “Is it you? “and in the stillness of your heart you will hear his voice whisper, “Do not fear, for I am with you” And you feel his peace and his love deep in your soul.

"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10

“It will become a sign and a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of oppressors, and He will send them a Savior, a [Great] Defender, and He will rescue them.”Isaiah 19:20 AMP

Strength

Nature is a beautiful example of life.
When a tree is stripped of its foliage, is when
you can see the full potential of its strength.
It's Him, (It's Always Him)

The word strength and its derivatives are mentioned over 360 times in the Bible, applying to both natural and supernatural strength.

Strength; the quality or state of being physically strong: puniness, the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure:

Are we strong? Or do we crumble when put through a life event?  Sometimes the strongest people have a raging war inside that cannot even be detected ...

We all have weaknesses we wrestle with??? However, when we are put to the test is when our true character can be seen. Is it a personal issue? Relationship issues? Is it a family issue? A medical issue? Or is it how to cope with life and its uncertainties? Just turn on the news?? Life can be scary! We all have had moments when we become vulnerable, raw, and insecure!! After all, we are Human!! The questions become, where do we go? To whom do we turn?? Will we rise above those doubts?

Will we rise above those fears?? Do you search for that inner strength? Deep down there is a still small voice that can guide your heart. There is a flame ðŸ”¥ that flickers within your soul...  There is a presence other than your own that can give you the strength to endure things you never thought possible...

It’s Him. It’s always Him ... I am here, can you feel my power? Can you feel my strength? Can you feel my love??  Just open your heart I will hold you, I will fill your every need! Listen to my whisper “Come my beloved Let’s do this !!” I am with you let me be your strength. lean on me!! Find peace in my arms!!  Show the world your strength and let’s do life!! I am with you always!! I love you!!  Thank you LOVEs you are beyond words...

“God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:33

"Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God
you have an everlasting rock."Isaiah 26: 3-4

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Fear

Faith over Fear
Fear and anxiety play such a strong negative force in many of our lives these days. There are so many uncertainties with the Coronavirus.  Will I catch it? Will I lose my job? No School? Business taking action and closing? This life struggle is real and like one we have never experienced!!

I respect everyone that has been silently screaming or letting fear and anxiety creep in. I know it’s tough!!  I have had many loved ones that have suffered from these emotions over the years. Resulting in some scarring on my heart. So, I will speak to you as one that has felt the ripple effect of these emotions so strongly in my own soul. I know first-hand that these emotions can cripple our daily existence and injure relationships and play havoc with our emotions.

In the last two years, many have seen my journey unfold before your eyes. And now I meditate regularly and there are stories that unfold, and some have special messages that I occasionally share. Here is one that spoke to my heart about Fear.

Meditation. music played. as I relaxed. I found myself drifting into a place in star-filled darkness. I was on a plank board with only enough room for my feet. As I slowly made my room to the end of the wooden board beneath my feet. I could only see darkness lit with a multitude of different size stars beautifully twinkling beneath me... Fear started to grip my heart ...

But as I finally got to the end I looked straight ahead. and there he was in all his glory. he smiled and said, “well come on. you can do this” ... I stood firm and unsure of what was to come. I felt if I take that step off the plank I might be lost in the darkness for eternity. The plank had become the foundation beneath my feet...

But as I kept my eyes on Jesus, he threw open his arms ... and said “Trust me. come!”. he opened his arms further. His smile was broad, his stature was big and strong. I took a very slow and deliberate breath and stepped off and immediately began to sprint to his open arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck and squeeze him tightly. he wrapped his arms around me and held me there for a few moments. and then we parted. he held my hand and we stood side by side. with nothing but the starlit sky beneath us...

I looked down and then I looked into his beautiful eyes and we both smiled. I giggled with the love and peace I felt in my heart... he proceeded to let go of my hand. and said “no need to fear you’ve got this. know in your heart I am always here. “as he motioned to his heart ... he then lifted off and began to laugh and spin like an astronaut in the weightlessness he felt. He then said, “Come you too can do this too” ... “My LOVE will make you weightless too” ... let go and enjoy the universe. We laughed. and played in this vast dark starlit sky the music and the moment faded... I realize that this meditation is pretty simplistic. but there is a hidden lesson.

Lesson: No matter the problems or the uncertainties we may face. Focus on Jesus run to his open arms. He will catch and hold you. Make His love your foundation it will make you feel free and virtually weightless ...

Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Depend

Fire in your Soul
There are 41 Bible verses in the Bible.

Meaning of Depend: To depend is defined as to be influenced by or to rely on.

Depend can cover so many areas in our lives. We depend on the tribe of people that God meticulously places in each of our lives.  We depend on so many people that we do not even know... But they touch our lives with all the comforts we have grown accustomed to having. Food, lights, warmth, air conditioning, water. ðŸ’¦ I am sure I could create quite an extensive list if I kept on. To all the people who have touched my life whether I know your name or not. Here is a big Thank-you! I am so grateful for you! You all have made my life a little sweeter.

Of course, I cannot write about being grateful without going deeper. Get ready I am diving in ... come with me!! Of course, for those who have been following me, you know I am l landing in the Bible. Proverbs 3:5 to exact “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding.”  I do trust Him, and I will not depend on my own understanding ðŸ¤ª because God's great LOVE boggles my mind ... We depend on Him for everything... But wait... How can we be so singular in our thoughts??? Every amazing relationship takes two.

You see he is dependent on all of us as well. You are probably thinking he is God he does not need us? She has lost her mind?? But we have a unique role with the Triune ... We give life to His word. Many before us have loved Him and His Son. They have risked everything just to protect his word and share his amazing message. We are all His living legacy. He depends on us to share his message of LOVE and Hope to others ...

He wants all of His children to know him ... and to depend on the LOVE that he offers. After all, we all know he is “LOVE”. But without having someone to share it with, it could become stagnant and possibly grow dim!!! He is the fuel that sets our hearts ablaze .and Keeps the flame fresh and growing. Once you are lit ðŸ”¥! You must pass the baton to another.

Our world depends on our relationship with our Triune and each other. We depend on God and all of His followers to unify the flame. Let’s make His flame of LOVE into a raging fire where darkness cannot survive.
Get LiT ðŸ”¥ Pass it on !! ðŸ”¥

#depend #triune #people

My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God. Psalm 62:7

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

At that time men will trust in their creator; they will depend on the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 17:7

Holy

Jesus gave it all!

The word holy is used more than 600 times in the Bible. It describes something or someone set apart from all else.

Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy KJV

HOLY Smokes ... I stared at this word for a couple days just trying to understand the true essence of the word. And all I could think of was. Holy? Who, What, Where, and Why?

I will share my thoughts in order of my discovery.
The where. A Holy Place is any place set apart because it was a special representation and reminder of the presence of God. The What. is anything that can be directly connected to God, especially things that are set aside for exclusive use in worship.   The Who, Is God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is the Holiest of Holies ... Their beauty and majestic presence have been set apart for us to worship them with all of our heart, all of our soul, and all of our might since the beginning of time. The why? Because They are pure of mind, pure of heart and pure of spirit... and a true example of Life, Love, and Relationships. They give us their light...their heart and their Love. I stand in awe. Holy, Holy, Holy...  Just

WOW.
Now I ask, can this majestic holy magic rub off on us??? And to my surprise, the answer is yes. The first step is inviting the Holy Spirit into our hearts. Once that union is felt in our soul ... Things in our life will begin change ..  We will embark on the most amazing spiritual journey of our life... Our search to encounter and love Jesus will become as important as the air we breathe. As we learn more about the essence of the Trinity, we will see the Beauty, Love, and Peace of living a moral life. This lifestyle will manifest itself and grow each day. and you will recognize that God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. Communion with His Children is His ultimate goal. Our souls’ purpose is to draw into Him and LOVE Him, His Son, and His (Holy) Spirit ...

I am left with just WOW ... ðŸ¥°ðŸ”¥

“Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalms 24:3-4 KJV
